Well, I did it. I dyed my hair at home using Just for Men Easy Comb-In Color. And I have to say - I was a bit nervous about this - but I’m really happy with the results, and I would totally do it again.
I’m excited to share the process and before and after comparison with you today. I’m curious: what do you think of my new look? Leave a comment down below to let me know your opinion.

I used to use Toyota charcoal grey from AutoZone with a clearcoat base sealer but lately I've noticed that I'm getting some fading when I'm at the beach or out in the sun too long. So maybe I'll try this instead. Wonder if they make a clearcoat for it
Your wife's response was very kind. She seems nice.
My plan, when I gray a lot, is to find a gray dye to lighten the brown I have remaining so I still match, just in the other direction.. 😆
You look great, Brock! I'm a big fan of letting greys show, but you definitely look great with the dyed hair. Not sure if i'm gonna start dyeing, but if I do I'll come back to this video!
I just ordered thanks to you. I’ve always looked young like you.
Nice! Let me know how it turns out!
A bit difficult to spot but that's due to the lights you have to use for the video.
It does look very natural mate!
Yup it’s easier to see in real life. Thanks!
Does it work for beard?
Great video. I cannot find the photo upload for matching. I even registered. Do you have a separate link for matching?
So much respect for the busted phone!
How often can you use this? I have short hairs on the sides of my head and need something to use more regularly than a regular die. I've heard this is also reuseable...
Yeah, looks natural.
Your hair in the video looks a lot darker than it does in the virtual photo. It's that a lighting thing? Because my hair looks very similar to yours in the video but I think dark brown is a closer fit.
I'm happy with my Grey hair.
Thanks but nobody asked you
started graying at 16 but it was easy to hide with fades. now at 22 they’re slowly creeping up to the top of my head so it might be time to go for this 😅
When my hair starts to turn white I hope it starts from the sides, it gives Mr.Fantastic/Dr.Strange look.
Your hair looks healthy, what products do you use?
That’s a good look! I use lots of different stuff since I’m always testing new brands. But I try not to use too much (I don’t shampoo every day, for example).
Can you or have you done a vid on that dreaded company assigned Friday/casual work polo that is not flattering but you have to wear it ? Lol
It looks great on you..
If I could have your great head of hair, I wouldn't care what color it was!
i use just for men's beard color for my sideburns, and then i go up higher to my sides and blend it in with the little brush, also hitting my hairline in the back, been doing that for years
I just started getting greys and I was thinking of doing the same and not touching the top
DUDE! You crack me up!
⭐️ Your hair looks good. The reason I don't use "Just for Men" is because they use an ingredient called "PPD" which irritates one's skin so badly I had to go to my dermatologist. Now a days I use hair color "Free of PPD"
Is that the name of the brand? I use Viking Beard for my facial hair, which is chemical free and pretty good, but always on the lookout for others to try.
I know what you mean too about Just For Men. The hair dye would make my scalp would itch like crazy and it’s even worse with their facial hair product where I started getting terrible itchiness that made you want to claw your face off. And developed rashes and welts that burst open and took a couple of months to heal. I used JFM for years with no issues, but like other people had warned they will eventually start.
@@fmod77 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Just look up online for "Free PPD" hair color & you'll find several known brands, like "Madison Reed MR" "Reflex Naturtint" "Bygen Speed Conditioning Color" I hope this helps, good luck.

I all ready thinking about I’m 41
How long does it last?
Looks great!
I’ve used it before but it always made my hair too dark. I have light brown hair and used blond.
Interesting... I know they recommend going lighter but sounds like you did that. If I did it again, I might go one shade lighter too.
Thanks for your video. Question: how long does it last ?
About 8 weeks (basically until your hair grows out).
What is this website called for put a picture of yourself to see which one hair color best what's the name of the website or App
Embracing gray hair is great, and I want some gray hair...but I'm 50 and my beard is mostly white. I've had reactions to the chemicals in Just for Men and Henna based dyes don't look very natural. Are there any other options?
Damn I started getting grays at the age of 14:(
You’re wise beyond your years!
@@BrockMcGoff you're too kind:)
I actually add grey to my hair
That is a thing people are doing these days. It can be a cool look!
Your have great hair!!
You have a wife !!! You just broke my heart 💔
I'll let her know 😂
@@BrockMcGoff and while you do that, I will go and have some ice cream. That always sorts everything out. 😀
Tal care mister and thanks for your work on this channel. 👍
You look amazing without color
Stay stylish 😍
Did you wash out with shampoo and conditioner?
Hi Brock hope you are well! Just came across your RUclips videos and loved them! I watched quite a few in a row and I found myself agreeing with a lot of your opinions and insights! I have a question, what’s your view on guys with or without facial hair? I know you are clean shaven, and I “have to” be clean shaven as well because I am Asian (I couldn’t grow any facial hair even if I wanted to)…. I noticed that a lot of men tend to grow facial hair as they get older? I really wonder why that is? It’s like “oh I am older and I want to look even older!” Anyhow would be keen to know what you think. Maybe you could do a video on guy’s facial hair dos and don’ts! Thanks!
Well i am 47 age male and never die my greys bcs its so charismatic ı love
Any suggestions for greying eyebrows?
You can dye them too, but it's a bit dangerous since the dye is so close to your eyes. Best to get it done professionally!
Does it stain the skin
I would guess not but do you know if it works if you specifically want to use it for a color different from your natural hair color? I have dirty blonde/borderline brown hair but I wanted to try either a really dark brown or black
Good question...I'm not sure about this!
Where can I buy this product
I have used this product but the colour comes out in a couple of days.
I'm 28 and seeing a dermatologist about my hair, I'm not balding but it doesn't grow as fast anymore, hopefully it's a hormonal issue that can be fixed. I hate male pattern baldness, miss my long hair from high school.
From what I understand, if you catch it early, there are some things that can be done. But if you do start losing it, there's nothing wrong with the shaved look!
@@BrockMcGoff probably genetic, but I will try. I can't grow a beard, but chest hair comes easy to me. My brother is the opposite, zero chest hair, but has a Steven Austin beard.
💜
Not gonna lie, having greying hair is a vibe, as long as it's combed and maintained properly
I agree, it can look awesome.
To colour one’s hair, first you need hair 😀🙈
how old are you , if I may ask?
Did you have any itchiness? That's the problem I have with hair dyes.
Nope, I didn't have any itchiness or dryness.
do we have to do it every week?
In my opinion, your before and after doesn't look that much different. Though I guess it's a good idea to get the hair coloring process started early before lots of grey hairs come in.
exactly which color did you use? Medium brown or medium dark brown?
Medium dark but I'd go one shade lighter next time.
@@BrockMcGoff what color is your hair naturally? It looks black in the before pics
@@marimar3161 it’s darker brown. See my IG for more accurate colors in different styles.
MID THIRTIES?!?! What?! I thought you just started college!! I’m totally confused 😐😜😏
It's a sign of maturity why would you cover that up , women love it
You had very little grey to begin with, IMO.
You look a bit like David Pakman...
Good video
Embrace the grey! I love that my hair is going from grey now to white. Go from looking young even though you are older to being more distingushed and sophisticated by letting your natural hair change. Plus, adding chemicals to my body is something I am not keen on!
Nothing wrong with grays, and nothing wrong with dye (just like there's nothing wrong with wearing makeup or *not* wearing makeup). Re: chemicals, I'm okay with chemicals that have been tested and proven safe (like pretty much everything in every grooming product I use each day).
What does this have to do with the video?
you had zero gray to start with wth
Yeah really
You trim your hair, apply shampoo, and in two weeks, when your hair grows back, you're gray again.
professional mic with stand... cracked ass iphone lol
How old are you?
I love my husband’s salt/pepper look. I know he’s only doing this cause of comments from ignorant coworkers and stupid customers.
Your age caught up to you in the face. You don't need to offer excuses for dying your hair, the fact that you want to do it is good enough.
Is it safe for hair?
Yes, totally safe. Just be sure to read all the instructions and do the skin allergy test 48 hours in advance.
@@BrockMcGoff But hair dyeing isn't healthy for hair. Is it natural or chemical?
@@XboxPlayerPL it's safe. I don't know of any chemical free hair dye.
Seriously I don't even see that much Grey in your hair before and I wouldn't even have taken notice of it.
I think it’s best to embrace the color of your hair for best results. It’s the same with your hight. You don’t choose it, but you can make it work for you. Or you can try to hide it with fake products, like platform shoes do for hight.
I always think that’s a large part of what your channel focuses on. Working with what you have. I think you actually look better with the greying, assuming you do your part to work with it. Like wearing blue spandex with a large 4 on your chest. 😉
Your a handsome devil either way, and I love your content. I would be more interested in videos showing how to embrace your greying hair in the future.
I wonder if in 20 years it will be normal for men to dye their hair and people will look back to men today as we look back to those in the 90s that would freak out by the mere idea to use a moisturizer. Honestly, men (and women) should be free to do how they please and people should stop caring about other people's hair or appearance so much.
It’s always been normal 🤪.
This doesn’t work
Same haircut as butthead..
Well I don't think you are a very good example because you had HARDLY any gray!
dude your way to vain. there's literally no diff in the before and after photos.
*you're
I dyed my hair for a while but then I grew a pair of balls and some self respect and just went with the greys.
Hair color has nothing to do with balls or self respect, but I’m glad you found more confidence.
@@BrockMcGoff I wasn't criticism, just the way I've experienced it. but yeah, perhaps confidence is a better word.
@@gajoaleatorio I gotcha, that makes sense!
@@gajoaleatorio well if a man is bothered by his greys and do something about it despite the fact that society put pressure on men to do the minimum to their appearance no matter what (balding, greys, etc.) I would argue that it requires some balls. A man that doesn't like his greys but just "accepts it" because of societal pressure I am not sure it really proves "self-respect" or "growing balls". To me having balls is rocking any look you like/want despite external pressure.
Eh, looks the same really.
Are we looking at the same thing? 🤔
@@BrockMcGoff The difference is very slight, but isn’t that really a good thing? You wanted it to blend in with your natural hair color after all.
@@pragueuprising560 yup, it's subtle, which is a good thing IMO. I was worried it would be too obvious.
Got to be honest, I feel you have sold out just for the sponsor. Everyone needs to make a buck, but come on! Face the facts, you are getting older, greys is a part of it.
As I said toward the end of the video, there's nothing wrong with grey hair. There's also nothing wrong with dyeing your hair. I've wanted to try this for a while now, and this sponsorship gave me a good reason to do it. Thanks for watching!
@@BrockMcGoff appreciate your honesty and content. While we may not agree on this, one must do what they feel is best for themselves, keep up the great work.
Lighten up Francis. You knew what the video was going to be about so why bother watching? You knew someone was going to be dying their hair.
Of course everyone gets older. But some of us don't like a head of damn gray hair. Is that okay with you, hair policeman?
Jesus Christ. This could’ve been condensed into 2 minutes.
How long does it last?
It doesn't really wash out, so it lasts until it grows out.
