Back in August i took the plunge and purchased a new car! This DC2R is well known within the NSW circuit scene as it has had a long history of development and track improvements under its original owner. It was then sold to another mutual friend and used sparingly over the past few years for track days, before it was offered to me to purchase.
Once i took delivery the car went to get a full checkover and health check. We also got to upgrading a few parts to prepare for next years SuperTT races.
We took the car out for its first shakedown, and we are most impressed with the results. The car performed flawlessly all night, and layed down times between 1:39.4 - 1:41.6 between 3 different drivers. It shows a light weight NA car which has been setup well can go quick at SMSP and break into the 1:3x barrier, and do it consistently!
All that is left to do with the car now is try and remove more weight. Depending on the class rules for next year, it may see some more carbon. It will also be receiving a full livery soon!
