One of the most ironic truisms of rv life is that when your rig has huge cabinets (5ers, gassers, toy haulers), your CCC tends to be lower. When you upgrade to a DP, your CCC goes way up…but your cabinets are smaller, and half those basement bays are filled with things like Oasis, def, etc.

Congratulations again on your new home! It's a beauty. We learned a couple little tricks when we had our class A. We would tie a white towel to the top of the jeep steering wheel so I could see the steering wheel in the camera. The white towel will "wave" at you if you start having a tire issue. Not certain if all class A's are the same but we never allowed the fuel tank to get much below half because the fuel tube for the generator was set just above a 1/4 tank so the genny would never run the coach dry. Might keep that in mind if you run the genny while traveling. If the diesel genny runs out of fuel they are a b***h to get primed and started again. Ask me how I know. Safe travels guys!!

Wow, you guys have a great experience. I've been watching Liz Amazing where she covers numerous RV owners nightmares, I've been very scared to ever look at buying. I realize the RVs I would need to look at are pre 2018 and hope the previous owners have fixed all the bugs. I am looking for a diesel Class A. My wife and I own a house up in Northern California with a side drive way that is paved and can park a Class A. The drive way is 26 feet wide and about 200 feet long and also pre wired for a 50 amp power supply. I've been looking at Tiffins or Newmar. I would consider an RV built on a Freightliner chassis and have at least 2 toilets. One for visitor and one my wife and I would have personally in the back. I am pretty handy with fixing things. I have heard that owning an RV will require routine maintenance and repairs since it is practically a house under earthquake conditions. I do enjoy seeing your positive review for once.
