Thanks, maybe but the dealer didn’t know anyone who would do a decent job of chrome plating. Anyway, now I’ve blacked out the header heat shields I’ve grown to like the look of the pipe all black!
Crazy, plenty of quality chrome platers in the UK, and that would have been an affordable option to get the look you wanted. or as @floriangutzmer2960 says leave it as it is, if that gap really bugs you go to a custom shop and have them make you a short heatshield to cover that gap. why go black, when its NOT what you want, BTW where is the update video????????
Yeah I know, I did leave it as it was in the end but the point of the video was to state that the stock heat shield is meant to go over the pipe so there is no point offering chrome or black. I was going to do a follow up and I really loved the pipes, both sound and performance with the pipes open really surprised me. I didn’t do a follow up as unfortunately I had a bit of a shock when my best mate dropped down dead, out of the blue in November and it shook me up and made me think! Anyway, long story short(er) I’ve just sold the Sport Glide and picked up a new bike from Harley last week. New video content will be out about that soon! Thanks for the comments and ride safe 👍🏼
That‘s wrong, I have a J&H on my Sport Glide in Chrome without the Heat Shield. I live in Germany and ordered my bike directly with This combination at my dealer and they keep off the stock shield automatically because it definetly Looks Like shit on the J&H chrome version 😅 Let it like it is now👌 you don‘t need the shield
