Just bought one of these and am excited to give it a try. Your baby is darling, and I must say, I really appreciate your down-to-earth vibes. Most videos I watch of people reviewing or demonstrating things online BUG ME. So thanks for being chill and relatable. 😊👍🏼
Love the video. I just bought one of the silky ones from Marshall’s for $4.99 Needed your video to see how to do it. I too did not like that the curls started lower. I do like the side that you coiled it is prettier curls. My hair is about your length, so can’t wait to try this now that I know how.
You’re inspiring me to try my Octocurl again. I bought it a few years ago when my hair was too short, forgot about it for a while but now it’s a good 6 inches longer so I want to try it out again. Your baby was adorable. I’m sure he’s still very cute. 💜
I have this same one and I am a side sleeper. I tuck them all up into a satin cap to sleep and I find it pretty comfortable not sure if it’s what I do or just preference that makes the difference. Loved that you varied techniques. Curls went much higher with the twist buns. I’m going to try that although I don’t anticipate that being comfortable to sleep. I also tried two curlers at the top for volume but I couldn’t get them to stay. If you can figure that out I’d love to see that. Thanks.
I have two of these, one is the cotton and one the microfiber. I have such a hard time getting them out, especially the microfiber one. I’m not sure what I am doing wrong. I brush and comb hair very throughly too. I just tried the robe curls and it didn’t tangle at all and was easy to get out. But yours turned out so pretty.
I've damaged my hair a lot from using way to much heat on my hair so, the fact that I could have epic curls naturally is great. My mum used old material cut into strips on my hair as a child but I don't know how she would have started it off. I wouldn't buy these but defo make my own! 😄🤩
It's called rags in Ireland, you hold the rag down at the top of your head and the other person wraps the hair around and then ties the two ends together. I think a lot of Irish dancers would have used that technique. I had it done for my communion many years ago. But this seems so much easier. 😊
there are these spiral ring "scrunchies" (they are made of a kind of soft plastic, a spiral that is a closed ring, they come in brown, black and colours, and in different sizes, I also use the tiny ones for children). These spiral things are very good because they do not cause breakage they are less harsh than the rubber bands (inside the scrunchies) and likeley they are also better for the hair than other accessories like clamps. I happened to use them in the last 2 years, and they work better than clamps. Most of the time I have my hair up, I put the spiral ring looseley over a high ponytail, and then I form the spiral thingy into an 8 (so the hair is secured) and pull through the ponytail a second time through the other loop of the 8. That results in an unsophisticated bun lower on the back of your head, but it is soft on the hair - and it holds even when moving around. If my hair will touch the shoulders it will break. So at least at home I have to protect it. Have to order or look for some gadgets to make a bun. You could use those spiral rings to make bumps on your head (you take a strand of the hair directly at the scalp form a "loop" and fix it with the spiral thing. (there are very small spiral things that are likely for the pigtails of children, those are perfect). The rest of the strand of hair hangs down - it can get the octocurl treatment. So you would first do the spiral thing on the crown of the head. To create some lift for the hair next to the scalp and to fix a straight strand into a rounder form (which is of course only short, the loop of hair is not that long. Then put on the octcurl headband. (or a robe belt or whatever). . So the hair will dry while the spiral things hold it in place.
I have the Terry cloth ones and didn't get good curls but did it with wet hair will try with dry hair and wrap it around wish me luck thanks for showing me how to do it the right way
I just purchased this on Amazon. I am feeling very much like you about the curl’s starting lower down. Not sure, but tonight is the night I give it a try. Your hair turned out pretty.
Would it not be the same as you splitting a section in two and twisting them and then pin it at the top of your head? What I mean is basically doing the same thing but without the octocurl.
Try it upside-down it will curly all the way up. Put it on the neck, flip your head, and twist and roll. They will curl all the way up to the top of your head.
Loved seeing the little lizard scurry across the window in the background. 😂😄
Omg 😆they’re always on that window! I didn’t even notice.

Also thank you for the tips, I've ordered one of these and it's arriving today. Definitely going to try the coil method...❤️
I've been wanting to try this! I also saw someone pulled out the top section so you get more curl up top.
Oh good idea! I’ll have to try that
I was not expecting them to turn out this good!!!😲😍 I feel like I would not be this lucky😅
Thank you! I think these are definitely achievable for most!!
O h my baby Knox is huge! 💕 love your hair it looks awesome.

Hi I was watching your video and I got a notification so I am wachting this
Yay thank you ☺️
I have the Terry cloth ones and didn't get good curls but did it with wet hair will try with dry hair and wrap it around wish me luck thanks for showing me how to do it the right way
Good luck! Definitely try it with dry hair. Maybe spritz a little water on it before you do it. Hope it works!
I’m gonna try the coils. Thanks!
Is this the standard size / length??
I think it turned out beautiful. Might look into one for my daughter. Thanks
Thank you for watching ❤️❤️❤️

Which size did you choose ? Standard or for long hair
They look so good I need this!!!
❤ looks terrific!
Did the curls last the hole day?
Ok i might try this out love this
Going to try it ! Thanks
Have to point out that since you have a side parting the side you liked best probably had a thinner hair to curler ratio.
Beautiful!
Thank you for the review.
Thank you :)
If you put your hair in pigtails or a pony, that would be really pretty and would cover the straight

I'm not sure! I'd have to try!
Real very practical
Wow I think it looks beautiful...😍
I like the bandana curls those are really good
Try it upside-down it will curly all the way up. Put it on the neck, flip your head, and twist and roll. They will curl all the way up to the top of your head.
I don’t think it’s worth the money esp having uncomfortable sleep. Robe belt is quicker and free! Thx for experimenting!
The robe belt is AMAZING!!! Thanks for watching 😊
I wonder how long the curls would last
I think it’s cute! A lotta work though
Thank you ☺️
So cute curls
Thank you!!
I think the curls are cool. You could then put your hair up and have beautiful curls
Thank you :) I agree!
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 🥰
Always waiting ur Videos 💛
Keep Going 💫💫💫
From #Algeria ❤
Awwww thank you ☺️
I think this look compared to some of the others is a bit like a perm growing out as straighter at top
Doesn’t extend the curls to the upper part of the hair though…😒
💛
❤️❤️❤️
Adorable baby! :)
Thank you ☺️
Beautiful hair and beautiful baby❤
How long are they
I’m not sure! You’ll have to click the link in my description and check out the sizes. I think they just have long and short ones
