OMG this just changed my life. I have low porosity straight, very thin hair and doesn't hold a curl for crap. But this method has my curls exactly how I've always wanted them. And it was SO easy! The only thing different I did was use a long silk scarf and a wig cap because even the leggings won't stay on my head. But I may never have straight hair again. Thank you!

thanks for the in depth tutorial! i sort of hate how everything is a short these days. the videos aren’t long enough for me to understand what they’re doing! this video is super helpful. thank you :)
coming back to this video to say it absolutely changed the game for me. i do this all the time now so thank you to this lovely lady for literally changing my life
This was AWESOME! I'm so excited to be able to repurpose something I already have on hand. Also I feel like this is a great travel hack - wear the leggings, use them to style your hair... live your best curly haired life!
Thank you, i have naturally tight curled hair, but when i straighten it i dont want to add more heat this is a great idea thank you for the hack/tip 🙌🏽
Wow that's cool! I tried the crossing back and forth method and the regular method with going all the same direction. For me, I have naturally tight curly hair and I do this method to get a looser curl. The crossing back and forth method looked great for about five minutes and then turned into a frizzy tangly nightmare like it was the worst tangles of my life. It's probably because it's already curly and this went against my normal curl pattern and the back and forth curls made my hair wrap around each other and form countless knots. But going all one direction looks fantastic on me and doesn't cause the same tangles. And it lasts for days with very defined bouncy curls. I just wanted to let you know that. I'm kind of amazed it doesn't tangle your hair actually lol. But your hair always looks great!
This worked perfectly for me! I never thought my hair would be able to hold heatless curls but this absolutely worked. Bouncy and beautiful curls that lasted the entire day. I tried this method on freshly washed dry hair. After opening it, I applied some anti-frizz oil and just a little of curling cream to help it last. Thank you some much!
Thank you for showing us this really cool method. It seems to be the most practical. Can't wait to try it. Love how it doubles as a night cap and eye mask.

@Renny You do not have to wet your hair for this to work, but if you want all-day curls, then it works better to wrap it with damp hair. The next day, I take it out, lightly spray it with hairspray, and it lasts all day. 🤗 It's so easy and I love not having to use heat.
Thanks so much for your way of explaining! I tried a couple other videos tonight and kept getting so frustrated because I couldn’t quite follow. Your simple steps and saying them out loud helped tremendously and my hair is all wrapped up! Can’t wait to see how it looks later on!
Love all your heatless curls videos! :) But just a heads-up, the oil you link to here does contain lots of silicones - Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Caprylyl Methicone, Phenyl Trimethicone & Dimethicone Crosspolymer are all silicones! Sorry. (I know it's hard to find a hair oil without silicones, unless you use a pure oil, which is way too heavy for most hair.)
So im gonna give my honest so maybe this would help someone. Okay so starting off with doing the hair i suggest that if you want tighter curls wrap the hair closer together and if you wand wider/looser curls you wanna wrap the hair and give it like little spaces ( i know my explanation sucks but im hoping it slightly makes sense) also the top of my hair came out a frizzy but the curls are very cute i really loved the in detail explanation. it was fast and easy
First of all I LOVE how u explained it! ❤️ With really explaining and showing exactly what you are doing. I did everything like you with the wet brush and oil and my hair turned out amazing. I did thou go a bit more under the ear than you, but still turned out great! Will try it again like that and try to make it tighter and just above the Ear. Have a great day! ❤️
I wish I didn’t waste my money buying this heat less curler tik tok thing from Amazon! It always falls off at night. This is so much better!!! Can’t wait to try!
I am trying this tonight! I do struggle with keeping the hair tightly wrapped, especially when it gets to the bottom of my head, they always seem to loosen and look messy ! Any tips would be great x
When I do heatless curls, whatever I use, a robe tie, leggings, the actual tool, I always wrap the bottom of my hair tight with the extra material that's at the bottom, so for example the robe tie, I wrap it around the twist again, focusing on the bottom of my haor and then tie a scruncci around it. That has helped with keeping my ends tight. I also put a Bonnet on, because I sleep CRAZY lol
I do the same as Jessica. I like to use two long socks so when finished, I twist the hair up in a tight circle and use the opening of the sock to wrap around everything, like she did with the leggings and then use a scruncci to hold it all in. I end up with 2 space bun looking things lol. I will definitely try this with the leggings as well. I prefer to have the hair covered so it doesn’t frizz as much. I get amazing results twisting the hair the way she does. I just recently found this channel and am in love 😍
Just finished wrapping up my hair 😮 finished it didn’t quite look the same I think I got the wrap pattern wrong but still excited to see the results 😊thank you!!
OMG this actually works, i did not expect that, i always liked curly hair and tried using a curling iron, but that started to damage my hair, i'm so happy i found an alternative
Love this method! I have long hair that I inevitably end up all over my face when tossing and turning....get up looking a mess. This is definitely worth a try .
She explains so well. I'm using a size medium leggings (my comfy ones :D) so the waist doesn't fit around my head. We will see how this works, may have to use my smaller ones bc I toss and turn like crazy lol I'm so excited!
Omg thank you thank you for sharing this video. I'm totally trying this tomorrow night. My sister told me about the heatless curls and so I decided to look it up on RUclips and your video popped up and I love it because of course I already have leggings. I'm excited to try try this because my hair is super long , straight, thin. It needs some body and curls to it.
I'm. Blown away with this metod but I am wondering if it will work for my super heavy straight hair. I will try it this weekend, thank you for this video
My hair is naturally wavy with some curls. Like you, I also put natural argan oil or marula oil in every few days after wash. It is very long, thick and lots of it so it took a little while but I really liked the results! Thanks, I like your demos.💜
I've been doing 'heatless curls' for 25 years by just blow drying my hair till just damp, then twisting it all on top of my head and holding on place with 2 alligator clips. Sleeping is easy because the hair is literally on TOP of my head. It takes less than a minute to twist into place (I have hair to my butt). Seriously I'm so lazy with my hair but still want it to look great. 😅
Essentially, you are making a French braid on each side of your head using the legging as one of the three strands of hair you would normally use. Brilliant!
I just tried this for the first time, my sectioning definitely needs some work (I still had hair to add after reaching the bottom of my ear) but I managed to pull it off regardless, I will give an update when I take it out tomorrow :) My hair is very long, straight, but thin.
I did this with my hair. There is a learning curve for me . I liked her instructions. For me though, the curls turned out too tight. I will try again with larger chunks of hair. The curls did stay all day and night and even in the Vancouver drizzle didn’t frizz. If I can learn to do it like the video I think this is a good method.
I've done this with a robe, socks and even the tube you lay on your head. So far the socks were the prettiest but also pretty uncomfortable. I'm trying tonight with the leggings. I even have the same ghost oil. I love the verb ghost shampoo and conditioner as well. I've been using for over a year and by far the best I've used for my long/fine/oily hair type.
Thanks for the great instructions! Could this be done with wet hair, do you think? I have naturally curly hair, so I'm a little nervous to try it, LOL. It could be way too curly from wet, but I'd love to hear your thoughts. I can't wait to try this technique - my hair takes FOREVER to dry "straight" with a dryer and then I'd have to curl it afterward to get this quality of curl. Also, what a genius idea to use the leggings as your eye mask!
My husband is going to laugh at my head turban regardless. 🤣 Nevertheless, in the pursuit of beautiful curls, I'm trying this tonight. Lord knows I've got more leggings than my local yoga store (or Amazon, LOL) 🧘🏼🧘🏼🧘🏼♂🧘🏼♂🧘🏼♀🧘🏼♀
I was pretty skeptical at the start- (because I have shoulder length hair) but it actually worked! Sadly my hair went flat before school even ended, they where also really hard to sleep in- but it worked!
little tip in case anyone tries this with plus size leggings... you can use a hair tie or safety pin to make the waist part smaller around your head so it stays put. thats what i do :P other wise it may not stay put on your head while you sleep lol
Great idea! Thank you for all the awesome content! I love your videos and you are such a beautiful person! Question, in your opinion, do you prefer the Octocurl or robe curls in terms of ease, overnight comfort, and results? Any input would be appreciated! Thank you! 😊
I have a video on octocurls on here! I honestly didn’t like them. They were super comfy and took longer to do. I also didn’t like how I couldn’t get the curl to start near me root. Definitely robe curls!! ❤️❤️
Hm this looks cool, I might give it a try. I’m not great at sleeping with a lot of weight and such, usually just do a lose braid but I def wanna try this.
I tend to wear a bonnet most nights anyway lol 😆 I have naturally curly hair but like a more polished curl every once in awhile. They tend to last longer haha. I'm gonna try this with some tights I never wear. Thank you for the idea!
How clever! And your hair looks fantastic! As always! I'm gonna try this! What kind of oil do you use? I usually use coconut oil with vitamin E an lavender. It's my own concoction 😃 AND! I use it as a body lotion too.
I just linked it in my description box! I always forget to. That sounds like a great concoction you use. Where do you buy the coconut oil and vitamin E from?
@@LaineyMarieBeauty I use Vitacoco organic oil. Smells great! I found it at Walmart. And I get the vitamin E liquid in the vitamin section. Or you can use the tablet, just break them open. 4 tbs of oil 1 tsp of vitamin E 20 drops of lavender. (Depending on how much you like the smell. I love it so I use allot. I don't even count how many drops I put in) Mix it up and there ya go. 👍🏼
It's great being able to use a natural oil isn't it! 👍 I've personally found that coconut oil is too greasy for my hair, plus it breaks me out on my face. But I've discovered that Macadamia nut oil works wonders for me! It's apparently a similar composition to our own natural sebum. I even use it as a body moisturizer plus as a face oil and it doesn't break me out. Just thought I'd share that in case it might be helpful to anyone 🙂
I love this! I have tried a bunch of the heatless curls methods and some of them work better for me than others but I'm going to try this tonight and I can't wait to see how it turns out! I have layers at the ends of my hair and sometimes they start to unravel, so when I use socks to make heatless curls, I pulled the open end of the socks over my hair tie at the end and it just kept the end a lot more secure and helped it not to unravel. I bet that would work really well with leggings too!
Other legging curls never work for me as they’re not tight at all and very loose and falling off the leggings. This is the first tutorial that actually is tight and is giving me some hope! I’ll update in the morning. Fingers crossed! 🤞
@@LaineyMarieBeauty I have really long and thick hair, left them in all night but they didn't dry all the way, definitely some curls though! I think the leggings I used might've been too big too but other than that it was really easy to follow the tutorial! I'll try again when I have more time to let them dry! :)
I love this but I’ve also seen some vids where you take the rest of the leggings on the bottom and flip it over the hair and then tie it and just fold everything back but I think this will work better
That's so clever! Yay for more heartless curls methods. 👍 Btw, I looked up the hair oil you linked and it does have silicones in it unfortunately. (Cyclopentasiloxane was the first ingredient). Just wanted to let you know in case you're trying to avoid them!
@@LaineyMarieBeauty yeah I've found marketing on hair products can be very deceiving! Especially hair oil, seems like it would just be oil, right?? But a lot of them have silicones in them. (Maybe check the ingredients on your Aveda one too just to be safe!) 👍❤️
I’ve watched so many videos where women talk about oiling their hair, and they never tell what type of hair they have. For most of my life I’ve had oily hair, but I’m older now my hair is less oily than it was. It would just be helpful if people told the degree of the oiliness in their hair. I still find it hard to believe that most people’s hair is not going to be excessively oily by doing this.
OMG this just changed my life. I have low porosity straight, very thin hair and doesn't hold a curl for crap. But this method has my curls exactly how I've always wanted them. And it was SO easy! Woohoo! You’re welcome ❤
My goddddd your hair looks soo cooooollll 😮❤❤❤
Yay so excited to try!
Hope you loved!
Omg, awesome video! I'm trying it!
I tend to wear a bonnet most nights anyway lol 😆 I have naturally curly hair but like a more polished curl every once in awhile. They tend to last longer haha. I'm gonna try this with some tights I never wear. Thank you for the idea!
Yay!! Thank you for watching 💗
Good idea. How do ppl think of these? They look cute
RIght! Thank you :)
You are so pretty! I’m excited to try this 🎉
I am gonna try this tonight! Every time I’ve tried doing heatless curls, it’s gone wrong (not horribly tho). Hoping this method works with my hair!😁
4 tbs of oil
1 tsp of vitamin E
20 drops of lavender. (Depending on how much you like the smell. I love it so I use allot. I don't even count how many drops I put in)
Mix it up and there ya go.
@@starbucksmocha88 good to know! Thanks, I will try it.
Yeah, I don't use it on my face.
@@starbucksmocha88 nice!! I need to try to make my own. Does it have a shelf life?
Oml this totally worked and I love it sm 😍
Awesome! I will have to try this!!
Just wanted to let you know the first and main ingredient in your hair oil is a silicone (Cyclopentasiloxane). I thought you’d like to know.
OMG!! That might actually stay on my head all night! I've never been more excited to go to sleep. lol
Love this! Do you know if this causes any damage to the leggings?
Oh that’s awesome I gotta try this this is so cool
I love this! I have tried a bunch of the heatless curls methods and some of them work better for me than others but I'm going to try this tonight and I can't wait to see how it turns out! I have layers at the ends of my hair and sometimes they start to unravel, so when I use socks to make heatless curls, I pulled the open end of the socks over my hair tie at the end and it just kept the end a lot more secure and helped it not to unravel. I bet that would work really well with leggings too!
Ooo yes! Okay. Good idea!!! Going to try that tonight 💗thanks, girly!
Other legging curls never work for me as they’re not tight at all and very loose and falling off the leggings. This is the first tutorial that actually is tight and is giving me some hope! I’ll update in the morning. Fingers crossed! 🤞
How’d they turn out?? ❤
@@LaineyMarieBeauty so good! I’ve done them lots since. Thank you!
I'm trying for the first time tonight! I hope I'm doing it correctly but I guess I'll find out in the morning!! :)
How’d they turn out? ❤
@@LaineyMarieBeauty I have really long and thick hair, left them in all night but they didn't dry all the way, definitely some curls though! I think the leggings I used might've been too big too but other than that it was really easy to follow the tutorial! I'll try again when I have more time to let them dry! :)
The way you did the leggings you can do the same thing with a bath robe thing that ties your robe and they are sometimes tighter curls!
omg you made it look so easyyy
Wow that is awesome beautiful oh my goodness I need to try this🥰💕
I love this but I’ve also seen some vids where you take the rest of the leggings on the bottom and flip it over the hair and then tie it and just fold everything back but I think this will work better
That's so clever! Yay for more heartless curls methods. 👍
Btw, I looked up the hair oil you linked and it does have silicones in it unfortunately.
(Cyclopentasiloxane was the first ingredient). Just wanted to let you know in case you're trying to avoid them!
What!!! No way!!! I thought I was safe! Back to my Aveda then! Thank you for letting me know ❤️☺️
@@LaineyMarieBeauty yeah I've found marketing on hair products can be very deceiving! Especially hair oil, seems like it would just be oil, right?? But a lot of them have silicones in them. (Maybe check the ingredients on your Aveda one too just to be safe!) 👍❤️
@@starbucksmocha88 I feel like silicones are named all sorts of things. I don’t even know what to look for anymore!
I’m going to give this a try! I have long thick hair and hate using heat on it. Oh btw I’m 73!
