I did the original method, and the next day at work my handsome coworker said “you really did something with your hair today, wow.” Boom!
Hahaha, SOLD! 🙌🏻❤️
“Something” 😂
I’m late af but YAAAAASSS 😂👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
We love this for you !!!
I'm happy for you, girl!!
This is the best explanation of these I’ve ever seen. I’ve watched so many of these videos and would always end up throwing it across the room because I’d get so frustrated. No one else has explained so exactly what to do and I appreciate this.
same here I just bought a headband heatless curler been trying it but I was getting frustrated, like you I have watched so many videos but this one by far has the best explanation
I ordered this and was amazed at how well my difficult-to-work-with hair turned out the very first time I tried it. It was comfy to sleep in, too. Definite game changer. I absolutely love it! ❤️
I can't find the name of it or the link to it...please share💞
Where can I order
Good to know that difficult hair works too. Her hair seemed so smooth without a single kink to mess things up. I was wondering if I should even bother because my stubborn hair would manage to get tangled as I do this or wrap around it weirdly.
do you still like it?
Are you a side sleeper? Wondering if I’d like it as a side sleeper…
This is the ONLY curly hair product that has ACTUALLY worked on my unruly, frizzy curly hair. I’ve tried everything under the sun and never felt satisfied until I followed your method and bought this product. The color is super cute too. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU!!! You saved my confidence bcs I used to think my natural curly hair had no saving
Wow, THANK YOU for taking the time to leave this comment, and share your experience. This makes me incredibly happy, I am so glad it worked for you, and you love your curls again. Thank you. ❤️
Happy for you ❤
Did you do it with your hair wet and curly? I’m wondering if I should straighten my hair first or if I do this with my damp curls the tightness and pull will do the job.
@@etelisethomas im wondering the same thing
So… I have curly hair too. Did u have to straighten it before you used the headband or did it actually work on already curly hair
I looked up SO many tutorials and spent two nights trying to do this and finally can saw yours and you took it slow and step by step and I finally realized how to do it and that I have to do that works best for me. Thank you so much for showing me how to do this!!!
I just finished "installing" it but I started with my left side and of course wasn't satisfied on the first go-around (I'm a perfectionist). So when I undid it to redo it, it had already curled my hair and it looked fabulous. Like my mouth literally fell open in amazement bc my hair never looked so beautifully waved and it was in for maybe 2 minutes. Mind blown. Can't wait to see it in the morning. Thanks for making it look (and actually be) so easy! ❤
I'm 65 years old. My grandma would do this to my hair when I was 4 or 5. She called them "rag" curls because she would use cloth scraps to rap the hair. These were so much nicer to sleep in than those old prickly curlers!!!
Love grandmas! how wise they are when they have no tools but imagination! Im positive you looked beautiful and cute as hell with your rag curls. God bless your grandma! You too, my dear! Cheers!
My Mum used to do that with my hair too ❤️
Aww my grandma use to do that to my hair when I was a kid back in the 90s and called them banana curls 💕! My hair would look like how Shirley Temples curls were ❤️
I'm 30 and my mom would do the same thing. I remember being so excited when she said she was going to do them 🥲
My great grandmother used to do this with my aunties hair, not with a rod, she would literally use her fingers. I don’t know how she had the patience
You just changed my life haha. I did this last night exactly like you said and now my hair is amazingly curled the next day, no product at all and hours later it hasn't flattened at all. Woohoo
You’ve just made my day! Wow, this makes me so happy to hear, thank you! ❤️
This is legit, people! Bought one after watching this video and had the headband in my hair for literally just under 3 hours. Aaaaand...perfect curls! Thank you so much for showing us this tutorial! 😄
This makes me so happy to hear, thank you for sharing! ❤️
How many days it stays in and how to sleep to prevent ruining it next day?
im a young girl who's just getting into beauty and literally watched 20 other tutorials !! none explained and helped me as well as you did, from the bottom of my heart thank you alex💗
Oh wow, what a beautiful comment! Thank you so much, it means the world to me to know I could help you.❤️
I bought this and it worked so well!! As a college student who commutes, this is going to save me so much time when getting ready each morning!
You will have to pry this wonderful tool of beauty out if my cold, dead hands, before I give it up! Everytime I use this I am complimented on how great my hair looks and no one believes it's so easy to achieve. My secrest weapon for effortless, stunning hair!
I've been looking for cute and comfortable heatless curls especially since having a baby. Anything that makes getting ready in the morning easier. Thank you for sharing! 💖
You look like a Disney princess with the ends tied behind your head. And I mean that in the best way. This is awesome! 💖💖💖
It's so funny you say that, I have it in blue as well and every time I wear that one it reminds me of a Disney princess haha. 💕
I love how youre so in-depth with directions . I was so confused on how other girls did it but now I know what do do :) thank you so much
So I discovered this video 5 months ago when I went to see Olivia rodrigo live (so much fun) and when I tell you my hair was still curled at midnight when I took them out at about 10am, amazing
I just tried this and slept on it overnight. It does require a little practice to be able to do it in under 5 mins, but it definitely beats the 40 i would be spending curling my hair with an iron! I took it out this morning and my hair looks AMAZING. I defo recommend this for anyone looking to try new heartless curls.
LOVE TO HEAR THIS! 🙌🏻❤️
Excellent video! I have not used heat on my hair for the past 20 years. I use shampoo, conditioner and hair mask and let it air dry. My hair is very healthy. This method looks easy and adds very nice curls. I will try it. There is nothing more beautiful that healthy hair. Thank you for your time to make this great tutorial. 🙂
I did this a couple months ago and I loved it, my hair looked like yours, I don’t use heat since more than 5 years ago and it’s my favorite technique to make curls
I’ve watched more of these videos than I can count and this is the first one I have understood just how to wrap my hair around it. Thanks!
👍
Wow, thank you so much for your great tutorial! I asked a bartender last Saturday if her beautiful waves were natural; she said, "Nope--robe waves!" I'd NEVER heard of this and am not skilled AT ALL in doing anything with my naturally wavy hair other than putting it back in a barrette. I tried it with my robe belt the next day, based on your original video, and even though it was a woeful attempt--couldn't quite wrap it well--it still came out really nice after 3 hours! I ordered the band and it's being delivered tomorrow. Looks like it will make the process much easier, and I can't wait to see the results! THANK YOU for teaching me what no salon ever did (or would)!!
Have you tried it?
@@OliviaSeParte Yes, once over the weekend, but didn't wrap it well or tight enough. Came out okay, but will try again this weekend and wrap it tighter.
I got this headband recently and tried it last night. I woke up today with the most adorable curls!! I'm so in love 💘💘 I will try it again because the top part of my hair is not perfectly curled. Thank you for your tutorial! 💕
Where did u get it from its out of stock on Amazon 😔
@@Whehhshshhssbw I got it from Amazon UAE. It's not the original but the one I got is exactly like hers.
CUTE! This reminds me of the old fashioned way of rolling your hair in paper towels... The heatless headband looks easier and quicker to use - not to mention, its cute enough to wear in public while you're waiting for the curls to form.. (unlike a head full of rollers or bobby-pins). Great job! Thank you
I bought this robecurls 2 years ago and I'm still using it and I absolutely love it!!! I have long thick hair and it never holds curls! But with Robe Curls it holds for DAYS!!! with and without hair products!!!
Ah I LOVE hearing this, thank you! 😍🙌🏻
@Alex Gaboury Thank you so much!!! For posting about your original bath robe curls and then working with Robecurls!!! I absolutely love it!!! I got my mom, my best friend into it too!!! Best Heatless Curling tool ever!!! I got tons of comments at work, and at church!!
I love this technique so much!! Also when the hair is rolled up into the headband, it's a highkey adorable hairstyle! Thank you for sharing such quality content!
I think so, too! Having your hair up in that would be a nice summer ‘do!
imagine doing it with a flower crown. Cute asf
I thought the same thing!
Yes! I would really like to see the back of her hair!
Omg i tried this with a robe belt to see if I like it. And when I say my hair looks amazing. My hair does not hold curls well when I use a curling iron. But this looks even better than that
So worth it. Will be trying this again. And will be getting one of these headband tools. Thank you.
Me reading this with a robe belt in my hair right now 😂 happy to hear it works. Its the only things I had that could work.
Update: I actually like the robe belt better. It was easier to sleep with now that I have the actual product I can compare. I'm sticking with the belt
I love the curls with the robe belt, but this headband looks so much cuter and more comfortable. I like that you can tuck the ends. And it looks like I can get them a little more loose this way, too.
Haha yes much cuter and way more comfortable! I love how voluminous and big these curls are! 😍
Yes way cuter! And you are correct : ) Lots of ways to make them a little more loose and beachy. You can wrap hair in larger sections and less tightly. And once you are done wrapping your hair around the headband, just twist the ends less before tucking them in. the integrated wire gives you added curl control, so by twisting less, you will get looser, soft and voluminous waves.
@@AlexGaboury @robecurls I placed my order already! So exciting! ❤️
@@erincamille4764 So excited!
How did you lay in bed and sleep that night? Was it hard to undress and put on nightie?
This is the only video I've watched that actually explained how to wrap the hair around the headband. Thank you so much!
This makes me so happy to hear, thank you!❤️
I was having trouble learning how to twist the hair when using the hair curl thingy.. but u made it so easy to learn thank you
Your video was so helpful.!
Aw thank you! So happy to help.❤️
Very nice. I have super curly, wavy hair. I did this w/ the rope belt last night. It worked and now I am going to get one of these products. They’re very cheap at T.J. Maxx. The robe belt is so long, it’s inconvenient to tie w/ the scrunchies and the whole thing is heavy. Also, used a micro towel. In the shower. Shower cap wd do, too, so you can shower in the am w/o re-wetting your hard work. Also, I”m dark brunette and it still looks good. A good first, sloppy try is very encouraging. TY❤
Alex, we have always been blown away by everything you do. You are such an incredibly talented human, and we are incredibly grateful to have you a part of this journey. We have so much love for you 💙💙💙
You're going to make me cry! I am incredibly grateful and proud to be a part of this journey, thank you. 😭❤️
Yours was the video yo explane how to use it thanks
Your video was the best
Wow, so pretty. An amazing modern version of ‘putting our hair rags’. My Mum used to do my hair in rags for special occasions something like 50+ years ago.
Wow thank you, reading your comment brings back so many memories, my Mom would put my hair in rags when I was little, and her Mom did it to her. The results were much more curlier haha, so I also love this more modern version. ❤️
I didn’t think it would work on my hair but I am always willing to try anything. My hair is a little below my shoulder and is layered and fine hair! I also did twist a little at my crown and put a clamp on top to help keep in place. I was shocked! It worked and it looks beautiful! My first time for it to work is awesome!
Thank you for sharing! I was looking for a review comment from someone with thin hair like me. I'm definitely gonna try it now!
Just bought one today at the dollar tree. But my grandma had been doing this and actually taught me,as a child.this hair wrap . It's always true what they say , what once was old ,is new
From where can I buy one ???
I love seeing this. It doesn't damage your hair, and it saves energy! Better for the planet.
Yes! Way safer, less damaging, and overall better. Plus the founders are wonderful people who deserve it all.❤️
I watched like 5 different RUclipsrs but your video is the most helpful, thank you!
i just bought this in black and i am so happy with it! i usually use a wand or a hair straightener to curl my hair but doing heatless curls have always been a goal of mine. one time i even used a paper bag strip lol it’s nice cause you can just stuff in in your purse afterwards and convenient for travel and errands. it’s so easy to sleep with and it stays put cause im constantly moving around when i sleep. i going to have to buy the rose color next.

You just saved my life. I just tried this method, with a robe strap. You saved me.
This is great and all def helped but i can't get the top bit to stay so then it gets loose and it all crashes and burns pls make a video on how to stop this from happening i rly need it 🙏 😩
I had no ideas what I was doing my curls didn’t look like yours😂. I ended trying your method the next day 😮 AMAZING CURLS!!! 🥰😍😘 Thank you so much
Your original video is what made me try this and it worked! My hair never holds curls when I use hot tools but it does with this method!
So far this has been the easiest to follow tutorial. Thanks
You’re hair looks amazing! With or without curls 🥰
Bought this for my niece for Christmas and it is fantastic. My sister is a hairdresser and she is enthralled so I had to send her your video
This makes me incredibly happy to hear thank you so much for sharing, and Merry Christmas.❤️
I'm now very convinced to get one for myself! My hair has been pretty straight and I don't know how to style my hair on my own unless someone else does my hair. I always want my hair a bit curly and this product does seem easy and simple with great results. Thank you for the tutorial so when I get them, I know what to do ✨️
Thanks so much for the clear instructions. You are so genuine & sincere and so beautiful.
When you alternate pieces from the front and then strands from the back wrapping around you will get more curls also in the back. Now the midback is almost curlless except for the ends
I love this idea, I'll give it a try!
I know this was 2 years ago but I got a heatlsss curling set for my birthday and wasn’t sure how to do this... I watched this video and I can’t wait to try this tonight!
Alex do you have a tutorial on how you style your bangs? I would love to learn, because it’s such an elegant look!!! And then, of course, add these types of curls and Bam! Gorgeous hair!!! Also, do you add any hair/bang extensions to your bangs? Thank you for another awesome tutorial!! Sending hugs!💖💖💖
Wow, any way you have your hair it’s BEAUTIFUL!
We totally agree!
Your video saved me this evening trying to figure out my heatless hair from another brand lol. Looking forward to seeing my curls tomorrow. 🙂🙌🏻
I have straight hair but it's super thick and has potential to be super curly. I tried heatless and I will never go back. It's the only thing that works for me so you could imagine my surprise the first time I tried heatless
Your hair style is sooo easy and made by quickly and you are sooo beautiful alex 😊
Yes! So super easy! Takes less than 90 seconds to do, and so easy and simple that anyone can curl. anytime, anywhere.
Girl thanks so much I got these for Christmas and didn’t know how to use them until now ❤
Aw I'm so glad, let me know how they turn out.❤️
@@AlexGaboury Turned out great! Thanks for the tutorial again 🫶🏻
Ma Shaa Allah sis you're so cutee. I wanna buy them but not now cz I made my mom buy a lot of things within this few months.
I’m doing your original tutorial tonight, and if it works well, I’ll get the headband tomorrow. So far so good! Thank you so much for making these tutorials!
Best video I’ve seen using this method. I’m trying it for the first time tomorrow ❤
Got it bc of this tutorial and wow wow wow is all I have to say thank you ❤
Thanks girl! I just started this yesterday, thought I could figure it out myself but epic fail!
Your video was so easy and helpful!
I don’t know how you sleep or whether you even did but in no way am I waking up looking like a hair hasn’t moved on my head.
Thank youuuu!! That drove me crazy. 🙄 I was hoping someone else called it out.
@@MrKmariahtry wrapping your hair in a satin/silk bonnet or scarf.
It's like getting another hair style when you put it all up to the back. And you look very beautiful by the way. Thanks for the tips 👍
I didnt realise how hard this would be
It gets easier with practice. I think its important for your hair to ONLY be slightly damp. Too wet it won't dry overnight. Too dry and its too slippery the wind around well. Hope this helps.
Right?! I’m so hair dumb I guess! I get all turned around.
May I ask what is this spray do you use before rolling the hair? Do I need to use anything before rolling the hair so the effect lasts longer? Please advise
trying these tonight! i’m super excited to see the results! my sister and my mom are also trying them, so we’ll be able to compare the outcomes for each of us :]
I tried the robe sash method & my hands are so incredibly inept with my hair I even messed that up! 🤣
- BUT, this is a pretty cool idea, so I think I may want to try it...
A little over a year ago I swore off heat styling & only use a cool blow drier to dry. I've seen a big difference in my hair health doing so, so I'm not stopping now. I have coarse & naturally porous hair that I'd call naturally "barely wavy" - only basically because it's texture it will react to the environment (humidity & dew point), & generally take on the wave of whatever I do to it. I also live in a climate that's VERY humid a good 9 months of the year, so I have to learn to work WITH my natural wave & not against it. This may be a great tool for doing so. Thanks!
This tool and method is amazing! Thank you! I've never had such consistently good results with curling....Except one thing: The back of my hair turns out flat, especially above the curler, but even the curls toward the back are significantly less curly than in the front. I'm not too surprised that I'm having this issue, as I often do, having fine thin hair and a small head. Anyone have any tips to avoid this??
Have you worked out any method? I would like to know this tooo as the back is way more straight
@cuca_ I have found some things that help! I spray and tease the hair at the crown of my head a bit before I start, leave it a little puffed up, do a zig-zag part down the back, and try to curve the curler to be a bit above my nape when tied off. When I take my hair down, I gently tease at the crown and spray it with hairspray again, and sea salt spray all over.
I just ordered one through your link. I hope that it will work as well as your hair. I have long straight and thick Asian hair which doesn't take cures without a fight😅. I guess we'll see... Thanks for introducing this product to us. It will be a game changer if it works!
How did they work for you Szu-Ping?
Your hair with the Robes looks fantastic 🌹🌹
😘❤️
You have so relaxing voice. What a beautiful smile and hair! ♥️🌸🌼
I have this in right now and my husband lovingly said I look like a cute barmaid 😂😂 but I’m so excited to wake up tomorrow morning to see how this turned out! My hair is naturally curly so I don’t know if I’m going to have to style it towards the roots but it’ll still be less heat damage overall!!
Hey there! Tell us: how was the result?
I just wrapped my hair, hope it works! I'll update in the morning :)

I get the SAME results by just simply taking my wet hair & pulling it back, twisted it & pull it up & put a hair clip on it to hold it in place. Next morning I take the hair clip out & WALLA, instant curls that only took less than 30 seconds to prepare!!
😊😊😊😊😊
You must have hair unlike mine, which doesn't want to curl unless I threaten it, lol. BTW, it's 'voila' (not walla). French for 'there you have it'. :)
Omg thank you so much for this tutorial I just bought it today and I tried so many Methods and it was too loose but thanks to your tutorial is helped so we’ll and it’s so pretty thank you so much
Wow thank you! I am so happy this helped you.❤️
I just bought one of these and LOVE it!! I do have a question- my straight hair turns into adorable ringlet curls when I follow these instructions- any tips on getting big voluminous waves or bigger curls instead of smaller ringlet curls?
You should make them more lose rather than tight
Late reply, but use more hair in each additional strand
This woman is so unfairly pretty, it's insane. Like a real Barbie.

ur so pretty! u should definitely try doing that rolled backward hair sometimes cuz it suits u so well!
Absolutely beautiful curls!😍
Thank you for this video! How do you prepare your hair before you put the headband in? Do you wash it and blow dry it or let it air dry or do it on dirty hair? Did you straighten your hair before or apply any products to it? My hair does not hold a curl and I will spend hours curling it and it doesn't seem to matter what I do, the curls fall out within minutes and it is so frustrating!
SO PRETTY! I LOVE this channel. Thanks Alex!
Wow thank you Danielle! ❤️
I ordered mine. Coming from Ireland so taking long time. But in meantime I’m using a pillow cover. Making really nice curls with that. Waiting for this one because has a wire in it to tighten. I have long straight hair, and it curls great!
This is amazing Alex!
Ah thank you! I know you're going to love it! 💕
IT really is! Alex is the best!
Hey girl, I literally just bought a heatless hair curling headband today and was just wondering why you can't do it with wet hair. Also you are stunning, keep slaying gorgeous lady xx
If you do it with wet hair, the wetness would stay on your hair. It should be freshly washed and dry, then it would work
Thank you beautiful! If your hair is still wet when you take the curls out, they won't hold their shape and will likely fall out. Damp hair works best because it sets as it dries, locking in your curls. Hope that helps!❤️
You're the best for helping and replying back!
I love these curls they are so beautiful! and those accessories would work with you beautiful hair! Love you Alex!
