Heads up to anyone following the tutorial, there is a mistake in the first measurements. I think it should say 30 x 46 cm and not 20 x 46 cm. I just made it following the measurements in the video and my proportions did not look the same. It also turned out way shorter and more like a top than a dress. I fixed it by adding another ruffle which worked
Thank you so much for sharing this correction. Did you happen to figure out the dimensions for the straps? This is my first-ever attempt at making a garment. Thank you so much for your help. 🌺 I'm making this for my 7 month old Granddaughter. 😍
@@teeh917 Happy to help! I haven’t made the straps yet, but going back and forth in the video, I have compared them to the ruffles sizing and I would guess the straps are about the same width and then half the length (so around 10 cm x 30). Hopefully that isn’t too far off ☀️ Aww your granddaughter will look amazing in it, I’m sure!
@@sarahtrille Oh Sarah, thank you so much. I've been saving this beautiful piece of linen fabric and the last thing I want to do is mess it up. You saved me. 🌿🌺🌿🌺🌿
@@tuqajwad3489 I made one that fits size 2-4 The top is 13.5inch by 20.2 inch Frill is 6 inch by 25.62 inch Strap 13 inch by 3 inch And I do like 17 inch elastic

I get a skewer and cut the worlds smallest hole in the elastic just big enough to put the tip of the skewer in not the whole lot tho! And it’s great for threading through!
Thanks for showing me how to sew a french seam as I don't have an overlocker. Easy dress pattern. 💖 from Queensland Australia

What is the tool used to pull the elastic through?
Idk what she has but you can use a safety pin
