Thanks for the tutorial! I'm a beginner sewet and this was super easy. I actually used one of my husband's old t-shirt instead of a pillowcase and it turned out fine :)
@@RooneySewingPatterns yeah! I cut the piece just below the sleeves, which was perfect. I also sew a little ribbon in the bottom hem as a decoration :)
Love them! Love your use of the fabric but I have a big stash of seam binding I think would work too? I think the blue one might be a little easier for a beginner.Thx!
I put 6-8” inches of elastic in the casing (instead of binding) and add binding around the armpit (& extend it long enough to make ties). Great simple dress. ❤
Which pillowcase dress will you make?
I made the first style without the bias binding :)
@@TheDreamingDilettante oh i love hearing that!
@@RooneySewingPatterns Thanks! I must have messed up the measurements b/c they are a little large lol but I am going to re-do them-they are so sweet!
I want to do the first one but unable to get the free pattern as my email is all large letters

I miss these little dresses. My neighbor use to make me dresses and wrap around skirts from pillowcases. ❤
Aw I love that your neighbor used to make these for you!

Oh I love hearing that, Francisca! What a great idea to use a t-shirt :)

Literally the best tutorial I've watched 🎉step by step, I didnt even need to go back to catch up, slow tutorial and clear from the first step.
thank you! this tutorial helped me make a dress for my baby sister. it turned out great and she loved it!
Simple narration. Everything you need and nothing you don’t! Nice narration and edit!
Thanks so much :)
Love this, I’m trying to begin and don’t know how to start.. this video will definitely help me out🥺 make more of these easy videos??
Absolutely beautiful, my little champion! Baby Willow is gorgeous and getting so big.💕
Thank you, Shani 🤍🤍🤍
Thank you so much for this tutorial-I just made 2 for my daughter for her birthday. I cannot wait to see her in them :)
how sweet!! thank you for sharing, I'm so happy to hear this :)
How cute I never would have thought something as a pillowcase could create such a cute dress
Thank you, Bonnie!

What a great idea. I have so many pillow cases. I have so many different colors, you gave me an idea to mix them.
Interesting! Since there's several size pillow cases, this pattern would fit a range of sizes! Cute!
You are right! Thanks, Eleanor :)
So cute! I’m going to make some for my granddaughters.
Thanks, Shiree! I imagine your granddaughters will love that you made them a dress :)
You do it so nice and neatly. I did everything you said made two and I'm still having a difficult time with the arm hole folds and the straps😩🤦
Oh it definitely takes time and practice! Keep working at it :)

Also, a beginner here! You make it look so easy!
Everything takes practice and time! You got this :)
I will be making the first style
Thank you
Soo cute! I haven’t made one of these in a really long time!! Thank you!!! ❤Great reminder!
Happy to jog the memory :)
This is beautiful! You did an excellent job! Do you think you can use a king size pillow case for a five year old?
I'm sure that would be great! You may just need to cut some of the length depending on their height :)
I made the first style and it turned out great. Now I'm trying the second one, but the arm hole seems smaller than yours in the video. Help!
I love them both, more so the blue
Can you make anything with the fabric bag the pillow cases were in? I thought about a small apron but not sure how to go about it. Any suggestions?
Was also wondering what do you use to iron on?
Hi! What size pillowcase did you use? King or standard?
hey! I just used a standard. If your child is older and you want more length, a king would be a great option.
Ok thanks!
Both the dresses are very cute 🥰🥰
Oh thank you, Amila!
I love this...and I will make for Africa!!!!
thank you explain sooo good❤
oh, thank you!
Can you make one for adults too? Similar one please?????
I was thinking of doing this on Instagram soon! Same steps apply, you just need your length measurements and add a hem :)
Just curious to what the machine is set at? I’m a beginner:)
Hi Madison! Do you mean the stitches?
@@RooneySewingPatterns Yes!
Lovely!
Very beautiful😍
Thank you!!
I can’t find where to get the arm hole pattern or how to measure for one.
Hi! You can find it here in our free pattern library: rooneyclothing.com/pages/free-pattern-library
Wonderful 🕊
Thank you Barbara :)
Where it says print pattern at full scale how do you do that?
Hey! When you go to print, double check that it says "actual size" instead of having it scaled to a different size.
Thank you!
Nice.saw ur vedio from Bangladesh
I am so sorry. I can’t seem the find the arm hole pattern 😢
