Here's a tip fill up as many as you can of the low envelopes and then move them down to the bigger envelopes and then if you get your big envelopes filled up then you can automatically do the little ones
Awesome list! I hear the spark Brittany! ✨ I am going to be more present/use my phone less, and read 25 books, learn to love podcasts - or at least try, save more toward the emergency fund, visit 4 new places, and fix the backyard fence. ❤
I love this! I'm doing this challenge as well. I'm saving for my house fund! My goal is to buy my first house by my 40th Birthday (which is in 2 years 1 month and 4 days🤣).
Love love love, $5000 would get me closer to my dream trip to Paris for my 50th birthday in 2025. I also love how you’re doing it and when I do it I will follow that example. Love the envelopes I think I would do hummingbirds for my grandma I was really close to her and those were her favorite. I love that.
I have devised a unique savings plan, and that is to save 100 notes of every money denomination. So 100 notes of the ones, 100 notes of the fives and so on. By the time you do every denominations saving a hundred notes, you'll wind up with $18,600. I just started and all I have so far is 100 notes of the ones, and 100 notes of the Fives and started on the tens. Then once I accumulated 100 notes of a particular denomination, I'll put a money label around it. Can't wait to save. It's addictive.
Hey Brittany I have the same box for my 100 envelope challenge and what I do with my 3x3 in envelopes is I only fold the money once and place in the envelope (because I knew as I started filling the envelopes, there was no way they could fit in that lil box). I took an Amazon box, covered it in beautiful wrapping paper with a slit in the top big enough for the envelopes and once I fill the envelopes I drop them in the wrapped box that shall NOT be opened until December 31, 2022. I keep the empty 3x3 envelopes in the cute lil box they came in as a visual aid letting me know how many envelopes I have left to fill so it still get's it's use. I also have to tell you that I am also the lover of butterflies!!!! they are all over my lil 100 envelope box. cellphone and computer screensaver -- .--butterflies are magical as well as beautiful and signify transformation, change, hope; they feed my soul 🦋🦋
Hey sis. I pick my numbers intentionally twice a month based on my budget. I minimally put $300 each pay period but I pick the numbers to add up to that amount. Same as you! You’re making such great progress. I started mine in September and I hope to finish in April. It’s going towards our home down payment fund. 🤞🏾
So cool that you share a birthday with your grandma! I started this challenge this year because of you. We are saving it to go to Europe for our 20th anniversary in 2026. I’m hoping that I can complete the challenge four times in the next 4 years and get up to $20k in fun money by our 20th. We’ll use the money to have an amazing trip, then if any money is left we will put it toward a kitchen remodel.
Wow, Brittany, that's quite the year of emergencies! Just goes to show how important it is to expect the unexpected and try your best to prepare for it in advance. We have had years like that - contaminated well water from our neighbors septic flooding, bed bugs (so expensive!), broken dishwasher, health issues, etc. Once you use all your fund, it can be hard to refill it. Good for you and your family for making it a priority!
Thank you! Your explanation of your one-month-ahead goal finally made it click for me how much I should be keeping as a minimum balance in my main chequing account. Also, I love how you personalized the envelopes to your family history. If I ever do a version of this, I might use the lucky red envelopes my relatives used to give me for Lunar New Year. Maybe filled with Monopoly money though, because I don't like to handle cash anymore. Anyways, thanks for this video!
The butterfly envelope are so beautiful! Ive seen them on Gabs and Sylinthias channel and they look great. Love the story of the butterfly. For me when I see a hummingbird I think of my grandfather when he passed last year. My mom was grieving and said she walked to her yard and a hummingbird came to her in a way they don’t normally do and she just felt it was her dad. So now when we see them we say a little prayer for him.
LOVED this video. I’m planning to start a 100 envelope challenge soon but I’ve been feeling weird about needing to modify it. I’m glad to know I’m not alone. Thanks for sharing!
Great video Britt 🤗💕 I’m doing this challenge too and I’m working the challenge forward and backwards which equals out to saving $101 weekly which is way easier than picking random numbers 🥳✨ You explained everything so thoroughly!
OMG those envelopes are so pretty 😍 I just purchased some envelopes with butterflies on them. I love what butterflies represents. Love this video. I always figure out all my bills..then.what is going needs to go to what area of savings basically all my savings is planned out!
Brittany, I love this!! You explained it so well. I would use the $5,550 towards my emergency fund first, then maybe anything excess would go to the IRA.
FIRST ✨ I’m doing the 100 envelope challenge too but it’ll add up to $10,100. I pick my numbers before hand and budget them like you do. This money is going to go towards home renovations. Cute envelopes!!🦋
Love the beautiful butterflies! I also love how you make the challenge approachable for if you don't want to spend a lot of money to try the challenge. Great video :D
SMART goals 🙌🏻😄 I'm going to try this, just with a smaller amount. I love the butterflies, my grandma loved monarchs 🥰🙏🏻😇 get a container like that small clear one from a dollar tree or dollar store depending where you are located 🤗
Just finding your channel! Im definitely going to do this but may start with the 50 envelope challenge. Im definitely going to get a small emergency fund and then maybe do it again for debt
I bought some of silynthia and Cassie’s envelopes too! I did their 26 envelope bundle and they had some flowers on them. I want to order more of them to do the 52 week challenge or 100 envelope challenge 😁
Such a cool story I have a really good connection with butterflies to. It was really cool that matches up with yours is that my dad's birthday is on the 30th of August also God rest his soul. ❤️
The envelopes are cute! And I love the meaning behind them! Im currently doing the 100 envelope challenge and I let my kids pick out a random number every week lol. 😊
Great video brit!!! Love the explanation❤️❤️ I would def go about it the same way your doing it. I would use mine for emergency and moving Keep up the good work!!! “ we have fun over here”😃
You were born on my mother's birthday as well. August 30th was a truly wonderful day. I am doing the 100 envelope challenge. I put $101/week for 50 weeks. I like to know exactly how much. LOL Also doing the Zero Out Challenge. I am documenting the money weekly (and moving the money monthly because of how accounts are set up) as well saving the change from cash envelopes. These are easy ones for me. Money is going towards a newer car. Will be repeating this challenge in 2023. We are also just saving a minimum of an additional $500/month.
Great video! I ask Alexa for two random numbers between 1 & 100 knowing that I won’t spend more than $199. The envelopes may work better if you only fold the money in half and slide the ends in the envelope. Just an idea.
Hi, I just got 3-100 envelope challenge boxes with envelopes. I thought this challenge would be fun to do with my daughters. I love your 100 envelope challenge direction page, with the numbered envelopes on it, to keep track of which envelopes you have picked. I looked in your Etsy store and could not find this page. Are they still available? Thank you for explaining how the challenge works. Look forward to hearing from you.
Love the video! Thank you so much for sharing these cool challenges! I am just starting my budget planner and am planning on integrating these into my budget planning when I can. Also, I found another cash tray/divider that I think would be cool to use as it comes with 2 for $15! I’ll post the link under my comment :))
I loveee the envelopes S&Cj created for you. You will be able to get this challenge completed on time. I love the method you came up with to make sure that your getting this done along with everything else. I haven't thought of using my rollover cash to stuff. That may be a great idea. I would put the 5,050 towards my emergency fund for this year. I enjoyed this video 😊
Hello Brittany! I am new to your channel, from the Philippines 🇵🇭, but I live & and work here in Denmark 🇩🇰. I also use some envelopes like that. I bought from a National Bookstore in the Philippines last year July 2022. We traveled for our vacation. I ❤ your 100 envelope tracker. Anyway, great video ❤.
Wasn't expecting this video but I'm here for it 💁🏽♀️The envelopes are so cute and perfect for you 😌Now when I see butterflies I'll think of you and your gran 😊🦋 Great video 🙂

In June I am taking my oldest grandaughter to Disneyland for her 10th bday. This will be a fun couple of years. Then I will have 3 more grands to take somewhere of their choosing. Loved the vid!
Oh my lord now I’m starting to remember all those glitter tattoos from Claire’s. I used to love those. I think all they had were butterflies…or at least those were the only ones I bought lol
I am doing the 100 envelope challenge for the first time this year and we are doing random numbers that my little picks from a dollar store bingo game 🤣 I plan on using the money for our emergency fund!
I've been watching budgetting channels for about two weeks now and it took me a good bit to realize it's normal that people get paid biweekly or even weekly. Idk about the rest of Europe but at least in Germany it's once a month for every job there is. An american friend told me some people, like teachers, get paid monthly but usually that's not the norm and like wow. I feel like it would help ridiculously impulsive people like me to have money for the basic necessities right before next payday xD
It varies a good bit here. Most people get paid bi-weekly though. You definitely have to find your own rhythm when you get paid weekly or monthly. I was paid monthly when I got my first job right out of college. I actually didn’t mind it.
Hi ! I am doing the 100 envelope challenge myself and i did decide to get the entire bottom row compete first. Its a challenge that will take me alot of time to complete but i will use some of the money to pay off credit card dept. and whatever is left maybe something for myself (trip /spa) and some money towards my car lease if i decide to keep the car in the next 2 years! I have around 1k so far with what i have filled !
I would definitely use the 5,050 for Dec 2022 to Pay bills since I know around that month our income decreases! The past few years I have not been ready for that month lol 😂
would go to our Alaskan cruise and other travels, being retired, we love to travel, so ya that and other trips eg Cuba, Jamacia, or where ever, We have a good stash in our emergency funds and savings accounts, which we really don't touch, so they keep growing, but this envelope challenge sounds like something right up the wifes alley, so to speak, she love the challenge.
As someone who’s house burned down and lost everything, I HOPE you put this in a air, water tight, fire box and realize sometimes you can’t even find that box.
I always want to do aaallll of the challenges, but I know that I need to have one main challenge and maybe a couple of mini challenges. Maybe I will try the 100 envelopes next year. 🤔😁
Could you put the money in the box sideways instead of lengthwise so there's a couple rows in the box? Also the others I've seen do this challenge fold the bills in half so they fit flat. Love the butterflies. My Nana was very big into butterflies and my sister loves them because of our Nana who has passed. Great job on the envelopes! You're killin it
If I could save $5050 I would either redo the floors in our main floor or put it to our debt. We struggle between paying off debt first or doing much needed upgrades to our house
Wife and I going to start this coming Friday we are going to start small to see this would help us so 3 months try this 1 envelope biweekly and 2 envelope biweekly since my wife pays biweekly and weekly she has 2 part-time jobs and I have 1 full-time pay job weekly. So this coming Friday is 2 envelope then next week one envelope we're planning on saving for next year vacation in beginning of the year. After this 100 envelope challenge and she still works both jobs then we do 2 envelope weekly we're going to put it for our first house.
I do direct deposit (only thing offered) so if I start this will I have to go to the bank and get the money out each week? I notice in most videos ppl have huge stacks of money set aside so I was wondering how much do I withdraw, the amount on the envelope I’m gonna fill or do I withdraw bulk like $100 or $1000? I really want to learn to save up for a new car my old one is at the end of the line unfortunately
It depends on when you get paid. I personally get money out weekly after determining how much I want to go in each envelope. You can start a car sinking fund and put money to that envelope Weekly or monthly to get you to your goal.
Unfortunately, I did not make these envelopes but I think I liked the shop that did make them. You can send them a message to see if they can make ones with pineapples.
Here's a tip fill up as many as you can of the low envelopes and then move them down to the bigger envelopes and then if you get your big envelopes filled up then you can automatically do the little ones
Great idea 💡 ❤
Great idea ❤.
This is best idea for those of us that have tiny paychecks. Thank you.

I love this challenge. I use the 100 envelope book. It’s easy and I like to see it all in the book as it gets full

If you unfold the bill and just fold it in half will they fit in the envelope better and not be so thick and bulky to put into the clear box.

It varies a good bit here. Most people get paid bi-weekly though. You definitely have to find your own rhythm when you get paid weekly or monthly. I was paid monthly when I got my first job right out of college. I actually didn’t mind it.
5050 will be emergency fund, investing or my kids schooling….. i would do random number i like surprises 💗 Thank you for sharing 💗
That’s such a good idea to get the bottom row done first!! Those ones are rough! Go you!! Wahoo! That’s a great start.
So cute I love butterflies 😊
The money from the challenge would go towards my emergency fund. I need to beef it up more. The butterfly 🦋 envelopes are pretty
I am right there with you with the emergency fund.
If I start in March will I need to add more to catch up?
Happy Birthday!🎂
Thank you!
I would definitely use the 5,050 for Dec 2022 to Pay bills since I know around that month our income decreases! The past few years I have not been ready for that month lol 😂
I feel you!!! Some months are just crazy.
would go to our Alaskan cruise and other travels, being retired, we love to travel, so ya that and other trips eg Cuba, Jamacia, or where ever, We have a good stash in our emergency funds and savings accounts, which we really don't touch, so they keep growing, but this envelope challenge sounds like something right up the wifes alley, so to speak, she love the challenge.
That’s awesome. Hope the challenge works out for you.
I’m going to do this. Thank you 😊
You are welcome.
Xmas 🎄 definitely 👍
Thanks for explaining. I would use the $5050 to put a down payment on a triplex
No problem! O a triplex ☺️
Oh i would definitely not want to do random numbers, I wouldn't be able to handle the stress😂 I would most likely pick like you did
I didn’t see this in your stores and I would love to order some
Are you looking for the savings challenge sheet?
Thanks for explaining ❤
Those butterflies are so cute 😍. I do $25 in each envelope for this year. Great video Britt. And congratulations on 10K subscribers 👏 🙌
Thanks so much love! 💜
The mini/low lift ones have been awesome so far. Those are my kind of challenges 💜
I will definitely try all those ways. I will figure something out. I love that our nana’s loved butterflies. That’s a great thing to save for ☺️
Oh i can sing to us while u do that ahha 😂
I always get the envelopes from my bank Chase Bank I always grab a bunch of them I never buy envelopes
I love this idea. I barely can pay my bills not money to save.
Get your bills together and then whatever is left over, put that to your savings goals.
That’s good Britney. But why wouldn’t you just stand them up in the that box?
Did anyone said saving challenge and that 100 envelopes? Yes i am here 💗
Hey hey 💜
I love this video. Can you get me this type of envelope with pineapples?
Unfortunately, I did not make these envelopes but I think I liked the shop that did make them. You can send them a message to see if they can make ones with pineapples.
Awesome savings challenges 🦋
Thanks love 🦋
Yes i used my 100 envelopes challenge for our basement due to storm and flooding ~ thank god for emergency fund
Emergency Funds have saved us!
