this for me was carl weathers' finest performance. really sucks that he passed away today. long live apollo creed
Man I cant wait till you see Rocky 4.... You are in for a treat!
It was great, it won’t disappoint 🔥
best in series for sure.
Best in the rocky series. Philly proud talking!!
Best 1 imo
he already did
Oh, and Mr. T is always smiling these days. He was on Dancing with the Stars a few years ago and the cast said he is sweet as can be and he always had a smile on his face.
R.I.P Carl Weathers
Paulie (Burt Young RIP) was actually actually a professional boxer, even an exhibition fight with Muhammad Ali
Fun fact: Clubber's lurid remarks towards Adrian was unscripted but Stallone left it in cause it gave the character a more hateful taste. Mr. T even said that he took his mom to watch the premier of it so when that scene came on, she turned to him and angrily yelled "I didn't raise you to talk to women like that!". She stormed out of the theatre when he tried to explain to her that it's a movie and he's only playing a character.
Funny because Mr.T is the happiest smilingest guy on the planet. Nicest guy ever. This waa brilliant acting on his part.
R.I.P. Carl Weathers 😞
“There is NO tomorrow!!!” That phrase has haunted me my whole life.
Rockys "Im afraid" and Adrian's speech is just classic "Rocky" They are amazing together
They were the true lovable & honest couple ever. ❤❤❤
RIP Carl Weathers
Mr T was actually a five-time Golden Gloves champion of amateurs boxing in the state of Illinois in real life
was he
I seen Mr. T when he was a bouncer at Ding Bats in Chicago. He was HUGE😂
Which is weird because he was scared of Roddy Piper ahead of their Wrestlemania match 😅 Not that Mr. T was cowering but he was concerned that Piper would hit him for real. Piper in his prime was insane so I can't blame Mr. T 😂
@@christiankarlkarganilla2763that's because, Piper was considerably bigger than T, Piper too was a legit amateur boxer, and he was a black belt Judoka under Gene Lebell (who's reputation stands on it's own) Piper back then was not a man to fuck with. Pro wrestling aside.
@@jasonstinebaugh8447 that's why I can't blame Mr. Tfor being concerned and "afraid"
Mr. T's dialog was just perfect for this. It was just classic Mr T persona. Mr T was "it" in the 80s. Clubber Lang and BA Baracus.
"you kill pigeons to get earrings!" 🤣🤣🤣
I thought he said b*tches the first time I heard it.
Mike Tyson wouldn't be happy about that 😂
Dude has a great line every reaction come
Hulk Hogan and Mr. T were tag team partners in the first Wrestlemania
Thanks to this movie and Vince McMahon's marketing genius.😂
Hulkamania didn't even exist when this film was released 😅
@@christiankarlkarganilla2763 Yeah, he wasn't the Hulkster till he defeated the Iron Shiek and won the World Title for the first time.
@@dr.burtgummerfan439let's not be mentioning his name anymore. He's disgraced and needs to go away.
Love what you said. "There's no boxing without Mick?". That's the way it felt when I first seen Rocky 3 in the theater when I was a kid. LOL, I was trying not to cry but I had tears in my eyes.
Me too. I love Mick❤
"Creed BOOKIN' he ran from a few cops"
That had me on the floor 🤣
Watching this now hits different. RIP Carl Weathers ❤️
That scream from Rocky over Mick still hurts as my soul and voice made that when my wife passed away in her sleep 2 years ago. Tell and show the fe people you love that you love them hug them til they push you away. :) My favorite of the franchise as it shows the love between Rocky and Apollo they developed over their 2 mega fights. Was a treat to see you fall in love with this @Its MrVideo
I’m so sorry for your lost. But I lost my grandparents recently within three months of each other so I agree with you. Hug them and tell them you love them every chance you get.
@@siamsa69 I am sorry for your loss as well and Yes agree with your agreement. May the hurt slowly fade and the love shine brighter and brighter for you
If you were an 80s boy growing up in the U.S. (like I was), this is a movie with four of your greatest heroes (in any order): Sly Stalone, Mister T, Hulk Hogan, and THE GREAT Carl Weathers (RIP)! How could I not love this movie?
RIP Carl Weathers 😢
Another guy showing fake sympathy for attention and likes.. Scrub..
You think by acting counter to decency you are somehow enlightened. You are a fool.@@gartrellliddell3806
🔔 "YOU GOT FEATHERS IN YOUR EARS. YOU KILL PIGEONS TO GET EARRINGS!" 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Carl Weathers was an athlete. He played soccer, ran track, did gymnastics, and played football. He eventually made it all the way to the NFL he played linebacker.
I was 9 years old when my Daddy took me to see this movie in the theatre. I cried when Mick died. I am 51 years old now and have seen this movie numerous times. However, when I watch this movie, I still shed a tear when Mick dies. Every time..
😂
"I swim pretty good for a black guy!" 😂
Black people can't swim, white people can't jump
It's okay tho, we can all talk trash lol
That's no joke. Black people have different bone and muscle densities that can make it really hard for them to swim. I knew a black soldier once who was a fit, really in shape guy (as befits a soldier) and if he went in a pool he sank like a fucking rock and could walk across the floor. It was like he was made of marble.
@@theradgegadgie6352🤣
@kimberlinibambini1968 I'm totally serious. That density and power makes black people way better fighters and athletes usually, but it works against them in swimming.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
I used to play “Eye of the Tiger” for my kids and their niece everyday while taking them to school. They loved it!
"Come on, your not so bad!" My favorite quote, until Rocky 6 when he gave his son the best motivational speech. Rocky is a legend & I'm happy he's in the Boxing Hall of Fame. Thank you.
We all wore half shirts in the 80’s, we had 6 packs back then. Now days my keg protects my 6 pack 😂
Don't forget the mesh FB jerseys...I was king of the hard nipple ppl
And around '85 came the fluorescent headbands. 😂😂
"Pain..."🥊💥
"DEAD MEAT" 🤕🥊
Back when this movie came out nobody knew who Mr T was yet, and damn....He was the scariest dude we had ever seen
You killed pigeons for them earrings! lol
Rocky blocks punches with his face.
"Death to Smoochy".
Mr. T was hilarious with the insults
Them body shots you were giving yourself had me dead bro😂😂😂
The intro had me dying 🤣 I love the bromance between Creed and Rocky, the two of them in their little booty shorts frolicking in the waves ! I love it so much 🤣
😂😂😂😂😂
😆😂🤣@24:53 one of THE most iconic lines from ANY movie that can still hold weight today!!!
If I'm remembering right I think that was the very first time he said that line. Wasn't it?
@@P.HATHCOX Yes it was
Funny thing is Paulie was the real boxer and very good!!
He was also a Marine from 1957 through 1959. My drill instructor at Boot Camp was always educating our Company about famous Marines, lol.
RIP Burt Young (Gerald Tommaso DeLouise).
Mr. T as Clubber Lang is not just a hater, he is THE hater.
I wish people understood more the homage Stallone was doing in these characters and fights for Ali. He was a huge Ali fan and modeled a lot of things in the Rocky series after Mohammad Ali's most notable fights. Apollo Creed is modeled after Ali. Of course he took Rocky's early style of not blocking from Rocky Marciano who also was known to block punches with his face. lol. But the early fights were all supposed to be homages to famous Ali fights. This one was of course an homage to Ali's "Rope a dope" win against George Foreman.
This is actually my fav Rocky. 4 is good, but i like this one better.
I haven't seen past 5, but to me this one had the best technical boxing.
Yeah this one is a better movie overall!
Bout time you did the best out of the Rocky movies
My father used to throw a sock at us when the statue scene came up
🔔 "PITY THE HOSPITAL NOW." 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
8:55 my guy ignoring the signs that mickeys having a mini heartattack😂😂😂
Fun fact I have heard Mr. T in real life is one of the nicest people in the world and that he is a humongous mama's boy and that his mama did not like this movie because she was mad at her son said such dirty things.
It's hilarious, because everyone imagines him having this absolute tough-guy persona, and in this movie, he was able to use all of it and felt completely natural.
@@josiahferrell5022Prior to Wrestlemania, Mr. T and Hulk Hogan cohosted Saturday Night Live. Mr.T actually broke character laughing a couple of times.😂
The funniest part was the Billy Crystal "Fernando" sketch when Crystal asked Hogan "Do you work out?".
I met him back when I was 8. A wholesome human being. He was filming a commercial for a car dealership and I happened to see him while passing by. I begged my grandma to pull over so I could meet him. She reluctantly did and we asked if we could see him. He was super cool and talked with us for about 15 minutes, even though it looked like he was busy.
He was just a warm and humble human being.
cant wait for rocky 4..... arguably the best one....
Not arguably. Literally it's the best in all the rocky and creed series. Philly proud speaking
@@ismaelortiz4790 When you're 12...
Boys love Rocky 4
Men love Rocky 2
Facts…..
I'm glad that you were into this. I like the friendship that developed between Apollo and Rocky. Mr. T was outstanding as a seemingly unbeatable adversary.
Clubber Lane is the only guy to knockout Rocky in the second round and take the WBA championship belt. Dude gotta watch No holds bar
Lol. Man. Your thumbnails are legendary. I'm over here cracking up without even seeing the video
Ayyyy when you can def gotta see Rocky 4
Mr T was Rocky's scariest opponent.
He definitely was🙌🏾
I can’t believe you’re watching Rocky lll! That’s awesome 😁
Rocky 4 is my favorite in the series and one of the most rewatchable movies of alltime. I saw it in the movie theatre when i was 6 yrs old and I love it still to this day!
So true. I've watched rocky 4 about 100 times.. On vhs, dvd, blu ray, 4k blu ray lol
absolutely
@@Winterov As a child I would rewind and rewatch Rocky 4 so many times that my father said that I was not allowed to watch that movie any more in his house. I could see other movies in the Rocky series or other action movies, even R rated movies with nudity but no more Rocky 4. Lucky for me that day after rewatching it 3 times I was done with it anyway.
@@Zurround your dad knew the script I bet 😂
Headsctrach..... I know this can't be your first time... '93,no excuses! 👀🤝👏👏
I’d have put up a Clubberlang poster in my room if I was around when this came out. That’s my dude.
What I love about “Rocky 3” is that we get to see how much of an incredible genius Apollo Creed was when it came to boxing.
Apollo Creed wasn’t as just some flashy, charismatic, freakishly gifted boxer, he was a fiercely driven, systematic, hard-working and intelligent competitor, and it showed by the way he trained Rocky.
If you notice, Rocky was just a “Philadelphia Slugger,” but didn’t have a lot of technical skills. Rocky didn’t have a jab, elite conditioning, sense of adjustment, foot work, head movement or defensive strategies... Apollo Creed came in and fixed all of that, and turned Rocky into a complete top level boxer.
I've been waiting for you to continue on with the Rocky saga. Glad you finally did this. I'll be watching out for the rest. Keep punching! 🥊😊
after a year since rocky 2 we finally get rocky 3 lets go
To anyone saying Hulkamania didn't exist before the WWE in late 1983 early 1984, it was created by Hulks fans in the AWA in Minnesota! in 1981. He originally went there with his 1979 - 1981 character, but the fans cheered him and turned him face. Eventually he started making t shirts and eventually began the tearing the t shirt pose! His theme was Eye of The Tiger from the Rocky 3 movie! What the WWE did was take Hulkamania worldwide!
Rest In Peace Carl Weathers, Tony Burton & Adrian Burton.
yes, watch rocky iv next!
My favorite Rocky movie because of Mr. T 💯 And I love the Rocky/Creed franchises!
I can’t wait for your reaction to Rocky IV, man!
Mr. T was smiling and laughing a lot during his roast
Stallone was getting in shape for Rambo around this time he was doing Rocky 3
It's not impossible to look the way Rocky and Creed looked without using steroids. I have a few friends who have trained and have gotten themselves in amazing shape like this. It just takes extreme dedication and strict diets.
Still the best!
My favorite part of this movie is when Clubber starts into Rock’s wife: “Hey woman! Hey woman!….”
I still get teary-eyed with the Mickey scene.😢
That banshee scream.. Just rips your guts out. Just so much pain in that scream.
Stallone really poured it out in that scene, THAT is acting.
@@UltimateGamerCC he really is underrated as an actor. He just so rarely took films that really showcased it.. but this.. First Blood and Copland... Should make any actor envious.
Such a great movie! Can’t wait to see your next Rocky 4 movie review!
"They ain't skip leg day!"
Carl Weathers at this point is about 10 years removed from playing in the Canadian Football League after playing one season for the Oakland Raiders.
"Yohhh!!! Hulk Hogan has turned into Ron Artest!!"
😂😂😂
Well played sir.
A few years ago I want to Philly and ran the steps and got my picture with Rocky statue
Took you a while to get here Leo, but here we are enjoying the ride with you, my friend. Keep it up
Oh lord Rocky 3 that was dope Mr video huftd
Lol, I just seen an article about Ice-T supporting 2A and I'm sure it was just a respect thing but the writer called him Mr. T. It was funny like that little dude calling Sho'nuff Mr. Nuff
Mr T only smiles when he gotta get on no plane 😊
Ain't gettin' on no plane, Hannibal! That fool crazy!
FINALLY THE REACTION IVE BEEN WAITING FOR FINALLY HAHA 😂
Apollo Creed played for the Raiders, and Pauly was an undefeated pro fighter that trained under Cus D'Amato....
In case you didn't know
Then Pauly went from hitting opponents to hitting the bottle. 😂
To answer your questions yes Stallone did do the "juicy vitamins" for Rocky 3. He denied it for years but 2 years ago admitted he was on testosterone replacement therapy back in 1982. Also his workout and diet was borderline insane. Stallone wanted to get extremely ripped more so than add size and mass. He did crazy things like drink 3 pots of coffee a day and ate oatmeal raisin cookies? I don't understand how that helped but whatever. But his workout was intense. He did full body workouts 4 days a week where he did over 100 sets and lifted 6 hours a day. The other 3 days a week trained in boxing and intense cardio all to get very ripped
"Hogan turned into Ron Artest" 😂😂😂😂😂
12:00 Mr. T turned into Teddy P 😂😂😭😭
It's ironic since they're in Philly too! 😂😂
My 6 year old knows your intro! She even flops on the couch and the chair! She’s so proud of herself today! 😂😂 I don’t explain certain stuff to her though 🤫😂
Rocky blocks punches with his head.
Great reaction bro! 👍🏿
Great reaction! 😊
Welcome back to the Rocky-verse!
This is one of my favorite movies from the Rocky/Creed franchise.
The death of Mickey always gets me a little misty eyed in this one. However, it's the beginning of Rocky and Apollo's friendship. And Mr. T does a great job as the villian of this movie, Clubber Lang.
Aside from the training montage, the scene with Rocky and Adrian on the beach is one of my favorite moments. And you will eventually find out who won that fight(or "favor" as Apollo called it)between Rocky and Apollo from the end of the movie.
Already looking forward to "Rocky 4".
Looking forward to your next reaction. 😊
Mickey's death always makes me cry, even though I know it's coming. Love the scene on the beach with Adrian, too. I love how feisty she is, when she was so shy in the first movie.
This was probably Rocky’s toughest training regiment 🏋️♀️
Idk Rocky training in Russian against dolph is a close second 👆👀
Idk Rocky training in Russian against dolph is a close second 👆👀
I been waiting for this ❤
Mick has the greatest line ever When Rocky asks him, what's that in his ear? He says it's so I can hear stupid things better.
Rocky 3 my favorite! Carl weathers!🙏
Time for the best one of all. Bout to be Epic for episode IV. Dont wait for that one
I've been waiting for this so long. I had to go back and double check that I watched the first 2 with you.
When Mr. T's mother saw Rocky III, she was shocked and appalled at his language, particularly the part where Clubber Lang said to Rocky's wife Adrian, _"I bet you stay up late at night dreamin' you had a real man., don't ya? I tell ya what? Why don't you bring your pretty little self to my apartment tonight, and I'll show you a real man!"_ She slapped him several times and sternly said, "I didn't raise you to talk that way!"
"Hogan turned into Ron Artest!" 😂😂😂💀
Awesome Movie and Work Bro, Thanks 👍👍👍👍 Greetings from Helsinki, Finland 🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸🇫🇮🇺🇸
" Mr T quote on Hagler 1983. "I pity the poor fool who steps into the ring with Marvelous Marvin Hagler"
Mr T did smile when he got roasted by Don Rickles
my 2nd fave Rocky movie, only surpassed by Rocky IV imo, between the Hulk Hogan cameo and the Mr. T fights, it's hard to beat.
Been supporting you on here for years dude. Hope you are doing well brother. Keep on keeping on.
Rest in Peace Apollo
Rocky 4 next baby!
