The fact that this is canonically in the same universe as Cars just makes it even more of a fever dream to exist

Him getting more and more modifications just furthers provokes the question of Cars 2: what the duck is actually alive on these vehicles, and how much can be replaced before it's no longer the same person?
also it defeats their underdog story? like it proves that a cropduster didn't have what it took to win the big race without those modifications. how different is it from a competitor taking steroids in the middle of a competition?
It also makes McQueen being old and outdated in cars 3 less credible, if he could have just upgraded all his parts.
@@ControllerNormi3 i remember there was a alternate ending in the bonus features where lightning entered the race under a new number and with the Dinoco sponsorship because he got inspired when he heard the crowd still chanting his name, still wanting him to race. I thought this was way better than the ending that Cars 3 actually had lol, where he just kinda gave up and was like "okay the kid can replace me, sure"

It probably one of your only blind viewers. I know exactly that feeling of recognizing someone's voice I can tell exactly if a voice sounds familiar or not compared to other characters I usually try to identify other roles/characters with their kind of voice I do it a lot in anime

People will say what they will about the Planes films, But I for one found it interesting to see racing planes! And I was proud of Dusty because in the end not only did he accomplish his dream of being a racer, He also proved that even thouh it seems like someone wasn't meant for certain things they can still do great big things!
The problem isn't the message, it is a nice message, but there's soooo many movies that have the exact same message, but more interesting characters, premise, have other themes that kids will grasp when older, and the victory feels more earned. The movie isn't bad bad, it's just mediocre and safe.
So kids will like it just fine, and I'm sure that was the target, but not only can no one be surprised that most over the age of 5 won't care for it, but the movie won't grow up with most of the kids that watch it.

well there was that brief period of time when people thought that ethanol would be great green fuel before we realized how inefficient it would be to grow who knows how many more thousands of acres of corn just to make enough fuel for even a portion of the global demand. it's a stretch, but it's the best I got ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@charityquill4965i think the movie does show they're using it to make ethanol. They also show food in Cars 2 so I guess it's possible they need gas AND food to survive (organic beings in metal, mechanical shells perhaps?)
