Just think, if the Del Toro Pinocchio and the Disney remake Pinocchio hadn’t come out the same year, we might’ve never heard of Pauly Shore’s banger of a performance
For context about the dubbing: It was originally in Russian, then dubbed poorly into English for a quick buck. The western world said that nobody would watch this movie unless they get familiar voice actors for cheap. They redid the main 3 voices, and that’s how it is known as Pauly Shore’s Pinocchio. (Correct me if I’m wrong, but I also believe that the new voice actors were not properly shown the animation to try to have them match the lips, but instead only received the English script.)

I legitimately thought, multiple separate times, that Adum was doing the voice of the parrot. Like, each time it talks, it sounds so unprofessional I'm like "only someone doing a bit could possibly do this bad a job".
"Everybody pronounces it differently." That's common in dubs when the director isn't paying attention. Happens in anime a lot, though a lot less now than it used to.
This is one of those "so bad it's good" kind of movies. It's so bad, and because of that, I laughed so much at this glorious dumpster fire of a movie. Also it's way better than whatever the hell Disney's live-action Pinocchio was.
Wonder how Adum would feel if Pauly Shore pulled a Disney Remake and kept saying "My name is Pinocchio because I'm made of pine" or whatever they kept saying.

There were so many Pinocchio movies in 2022 that I initially thought this was the Del Toro movie, and I was like “Damn this guy really fell off”
No wonder he lost that gig doing The Hobbit
Wait, I thought he was directing that Dark Souls game.
When 3 adaptations of Pinocchio come out in the same year, EVERYONE has fallen off.
Don’t forget Pinocchio and the Water of Life
To be honest, that’s kinda disrespectful, since Del Toro is very, very creative with the things he make in his movies.
