I love that the way they "defeated Ego" was by serving him the most humble of meals. A "peasant dish" that reminds him of his mother’s cooking. The one thing he couldn’t possibly give a negative review. It was perfect.

This is one of those movies that doesn't even need a sequel.
It ended with quite a twist. Instead of Remy becoming a chef at Gusteau's, he becomes head chef in his own restaurant under secrecy, still being able to live his dream. Ego finally gets to taste real quality food he's long forgotten about, Linguini finally got himself a job he's good at, Collette gets treated with the respect she deserves, and the rats don't have to go hungry and be afraid of poison, now that's an ending.

2:13 Double barrel shotgun taking out the slow rats, then you see the passion burning in Remy's eyes; and he'd keep his head. Then all the humans they tried to kill Remy but only because they'd be jealous that Remy and grandmas love is deeper than Edward and Bella's. OH! if Remy were a human, he'd never eat your brains he just want your food oh he'd want your food or he'd want your food.
    P.S THIS IS A JOKE!
Gosh damnit I hate myself ☠️💀

Dang, because of that "alfredo sauce in the jar" line, now I'm imagining Colette talking about eating alfredo sauce.... And her boyfriend Alfredo Linguini blushing.

As a professional dishwasher, I the problem I have with the film is how quiet they speak in the kitchen. At my place there's ovens, alarms, flattops and the dish machine going off, so Linguini's near-whispering will not be heard over sounds of the kitchen.

The whole stealing is bad thing never really felt right to me in the movie and i feel like i realized why. Remmy throughout this isnt stealing hes surviving he was starving when gustos ghost shamed him for trying to take just one crumb of food. No one would have missed that crumb. I feel like theres some symbolism of classism there…
