I totally remember the first time hearing it, Big snowstorm in 1983..I was a kid, whole room lit up (lightning) and thunder. It boggled me because I didnt think that could happen. It's pretty damn rare...only a handful of times I remember it. 1993, 96..and that was multiple times, 2003 The last time I heard it around Philly was Jan 2016, THAT was loud and the lightning strike was 60 miles away. Crazy. HOPE to hear it tonight with this big Nor'Easter...we'll see.
If only Jim Cantorie was in Southeast Massachusetts or even in Connecticut on Thursday February 9th from a lot of Thundersnow in Southern New England. I can say i really enjoyed the thundersnow the other day woo hoo!!
lmao watching the Can Man freak out over the lightening... #5! #5! Whoo!! "It doesn't get much better than that baby Whooo! Boom Boom! Heck yeah Im a fan now. I don't watch to check for the weather anymore but to see what Can Man's gonna say or do next
Why is he getting so excited over lightning and thunder?! The people of the boston suburbs weren't so excited. He must really love "THUNDER SNOW STORMS!
@@pablobaesler3447 depends where you live and how often you go outside in snowstorms really. I live near Boston and have experienced it many times because I go outside and have a lightning app. Most people stay inside and miss it.
I am commenting #BringBackDislikes on every unique RUclips video that I watch for the rest of 2024, regardless of if I actually dislike the video or not. This is video 2238.
Nah. For a lot of people like him and I weather is a hobby as much sports or anything. Thundershow is in comparison to like your favorite sports team winning a championship. It’s very rare and amazing to experience
I love Jim!!! When I saw this on my tv, I couldn't help the laughter! I have never experience thunder snow, but when I do, I hope it is THiS exciting!

the snow covered glasses really bring the look together!
I love how much absolute joy he has seeing natural phenomena.
Such a classic clip! 😂 If Jim is in New England tonight...or tomorrow morning, I fully expect T'Snow and I hope for a similar epic reaction
This took the whole United States by Winter Storm! All puns intended!
I'm currently having thundersnow/sleet and I imagine he'd love it here right now. Theres little lightning strikes allll over the radar

@@Mesovorticities that's so cool. I'm from Chile so snowing is already rare and blizzard can only be experienced in the mountains or south.
What caused that thundersnow? What were the conditions that set off that wintry convection in the first place!!!!!!
Rain thunderstorms can get 35 or lower and the rain will be snow but extremely wet though, unless it’s slightly colder.
The Can Man.

In fact I reacted the same way in 2018 in Philadelphia where I experienced my second thunder snow in 35 years
winter storm OCTAVIA??? Some people on the weather channel are bronies...
Honestly though, naming Winter Storms is a good idea, I have no idea why the NWS does not do it
+Icybubba they do..
Lps Sippycup No they do not, TWC is the one that names them
Eh.
Forget I said anything xD
So where 2 winter storms going on at the same time in one of them there was thunder ⛈ snow❄
