Great video! I'm guessing you have another channel or maybe you are just starting out..nice! Question: Can you record regular 4k footage to the external drive? Probably not, but I'm wondering if I could. Thanks!
Hey, thank you for your question, this is a new channel which I am hoping to grow! I have just checked and you can only record Apple ProRes on the SSD and not regular 4K. Hope this helps.
Hey thanks for the question! Unfortunately the lighting port on the iPhone 14 pro is a bottle neck for data transfer, even with a usb c adapter, it will be too slow to transfer or record directly to an external SSD. You will have to upgrade to the new iPhone 15 pro if you want to use this feature. Hope this helps.
Hey, thank for your question. You probably can still use this gimbal but you will have to find a way to mount the SSD to the gimbal or the phone. Maybe a cable tie or an elastic band. I know the weight will not be an issue. I plan to use a cable tie.
Thank you for your question, as long as you are using the 15 pro or the pro max, it doesn’t matter what storage size you have, all you need is an external SSD to extend your recording time. I went for the 256gb as I think 128gb in not enough considering what you can do with these new phones. Hope this helps.
@@sethiphotography apple's restrictive behavior is not pleasant, we have to sacrifice some things every time. If there is such a technology, why don't you use it in all of them, it is entirely selfishness and sales tactics.

Can iPhone 14 ProMax do this with adapter to usb-c ?

Any SSD mounting solution for DJI Osmo Mobile + SSD combo?
What does it just automatically know to export it to the ssd once it’s plugged in? Or is that a setting you have to change?
When you plug in an SSD, it will pop up with a small message at the bottom telling you that it will record directly to an SSD.
Does the gimbal still work with the ssd attached? I’m looking for some sort of mounting solution for the ssd so the dji gimbal still works

Awesome thanks- cable tie is a good idea
How did u manage to film it in 25fps? I thought it only has 24, 30 and 60
You can change to PAL recording in the settings app.
@@sethiphotography Oh right thanks
Can you record LOG with an iPhone 14 pro max?
Shut
Yes you can using a third party app only, but you cannot record to an SSD

@@sethiphotography Thanks for your quick reply. It really helped,i will go for 256G when it will be available in stock
Is this the same for the iphone 15 (not the pro)?
Sadly NO.
And my Android has been able to do that for ages, stock!
Your android phone can record ProRes??
@sethiphotography not the trademark, but I can shoot HD on my phone.
@@madsam7582There’s a difference between Prores and hd💀
If I want to record an external SSD but I don't want to record a proress log for size, I want to only record normal standard video, is that possible?
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately Apple have limited external recording to ProRes only.

Buy a mirrorless or a vlog cam and learn rather than invest on phones.
