Rub a drier sheet over a squeaky hook. Works every time!

Not sure I could buy a useless hook because it is "pretty". I think your honest review of these hooks is awesome and extremely helpful! I know what to steer clear from, as I don't have resin or wood in my hook collection. Thanks for a great video.

Thank you very much! I haven't used a single one of those "pretty" hooks since! And to be honest, I don't spend a lot of time looking at them either! Lol

I love the plain old hooks but the wooden hooks are just so beautiful when taking a picture. I love it.

Thank you, Ursula!! My favorite is a hook with a metal hook, and a thicker handle, it helps me crochet longer, without my hands and wrists hurting :) wooden are not my favorite, but they look so pretty on my shelf!!

I’ve Furls n Ommi. Not a lover of wooden hooks either. Have looked at the Divit but. It impressed w/the heads. I’ve got all the Ommi resin ones you showed n the wood n resin. I cleaned mine with wax paper or an old t-shirt. Alcohol is good also. Removes any buildup.
    Great review.

Great and very thorough reviews. I just purchased 4 Ommi hooks yesterday on Amazon.

Hi! Thanks for the review. Personally, I use the Streamline Wood in Ebony by Furls and Clover Amore. I have used both sets of hooks on different yarns and have had no issues. If you are having “splitting” issues you may need to change your hook (size or material it’s made out of). I only use ergonomic crochet hooks, because of an elbow injury. Neither hook I use causes pain and I can crochet for hours.

Rebekah, even though I have not tried almost all of these hooks, I do agree with you. I don't normally care for wooden hooks but they are beautiful. I do have a few resin hooks and am very scared to use them because I don't want them to break. I don't care for the long heads. I am a knife holder but I hold the back of the hook as I crochet. I love the long shaft of my hooks. Thank you for your opinion of these. I appreciate it.

Thanks, Jen! I kind of hold my crochet hook in a knife hold, and I usually choke up on the hook, to catch the stitches with my finger. The very long necked hooks make it hard for me to work with

The only wooden hooks that I find are good are made by 'Lantern Moon', the are made from super smooth polished ebony and are fantastic!

A very informative video. Thank you! I've not tried any of the hooks you showcased, but maybe one day. You are encouraging me to try crocheting again...... it has been a LONG time. Thanks Rebekah! Keep up the great work! BTW - I don't remember seeing Suricata today - some outfits maybe, but not the girl. I missed her. Maybe next time.

Thank you for your review, currently i have ommi, have not tried furls or divit. Ommi is way too long for my asian hand, but i found a way how to work on it and i love using my resin ommi. I am interested to try furls and compare the difference with my ommi. If furls is a bit shorter than ommi that would be great. Though furls is way pricey than ommi but i hope its worth it.

Thank you for the review, I don’t like wood hooks and struggle working with furls. My go to hooks are the Clover Amour hooks they are ergonomic and I can crochet all day without suffering from pain in my wrist or hand. Happy Easter xxx

I find the same thing! I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and the ergonomic hooks are a must! Some of the resin hooks have a nice chunky handle, and good grip. I have been managing with the wood and metal ones quite nicely, but I can't do a thing with Susan Bates or Boye, they don't have enough to hold on to! I like a hook with nice curves ;)

Hi Donna! I bought them off of Amazon, they're a clear plexiglass pen stand. They come in sets of 4 and are great for displaying hooks!!
