    Really nice to see Starks gradual progression over the years. As Taddy mentioned, "always being in the right gear" + infinite adjustability will really propel the sport. Look forward to someday taking one out on some nice single track!

    I’d be more interested in a lightweight enduro bike than a regular Ktm competitor. Electric changes the sport. A Sur Ron Ultra Bee equivalent made by Stark would be an amazing way to attract more riders to the sport, making the most of a silent off road bike that can be ridden in more places than full size/full weight competition bikes IMO.

    • @sam-ww1wk
      @sam-ww1wk 4 месяца назад

      Already plenty of those on the market. KTM, EM, Beta all have what you're talking about. Time for the real deal.

    • @saskwotch19764
      @saskwotch19764 4 месяца назад +2

      @@sam-ww1wk the KTM ia several years old, heavy underpowered, expensive and not even available in most markets (if at all) anymore. The EM looks great, but less power than a Sur Ron Ultra Bee despite being nearly double the price - and has an arguably unnecessary clutch. The Beta is actually a cheap white-labelled Chinese bike originally made by RFN, with Beta graphics. If Stark were to make high quality, discreet, light weight bike that’s capable in normal enduro terrain (rather than having a trials/enduro setup like the EM) it would be in a league of its own for guys wanting to basically ride enduro in more places than gas bikes allow IMO.

    Sick. This is the first piece of media I have heard about developing a purpose built enduro bike. The biggest question I have is, how to handle the clutch? It is such a big part of hard enduro. Nothing electric has fully addressed the traction issue. Mapping doesn't do it. The electric motion clutch doesn't quite do it. What is the answer? Whoever solves this problem wins the electric enduro challenge. Surrons are a joke BTW, haha.

    • @sam-ww1wk
      @sam-ww1wk 4 месяца назад

      The clutch on my EM checks all the boxes. Can wind up and pop when I want, modulate insanely well for traction, and pull in when things get hairy. Also, EM is dropping their 4 speed gear box bike next year. But, agreed, the only thing holding me back from a Varg is no clutch. The enduro model will have to have it.

    I rode an ebike for 6 months straight and they just attract less attention from unwanted people and gain you access to new riding areas that would normally annoy neighbours, you can rip all day in your garden, practice wheelies in the parking garage and after 2/3hrs most people are knackered anyway. Yes you don't get the range but it's coming, give it a decade and buying electric Mx/enduro bikes will support the market.

    We dont need 80 horsepower !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
    that means reducing motor / gearbox weight by 50%
    Even smaller controller that has maximum 40 hp output.
    Weight saved here could be spent on larger battery.
    Also dont want phone on handlebars, that will get smashed in 5 minutes.
    WiFi to phone in backpack. Still needs speedo and 2 trip meters with power setting.

    • @sam-ww1wk
      @sam-ww1wk 4 месяца назад +1

      That's just a max rating. If you run it at 40hp, it effectively doubles the size of the existing battery. The range is a coefficient of hp to battery capacity. Think Telsa. No one really needs to drive it 0-60 in 2 seconds, but it can do it if someone really wants.
