That depends on the def of stock, all vw and correct year and model parts, or high class vw... Porsche, and a little “tweaking”! Got to love Musty1, he will find a way to make things fun!
For future reference the third digit in that style VW VIN is the model year. That started in '65 or '66 and prior to the numbering change VW VINs were sequential and the model year was determined by which range of numbers your specimen fell into. The rusted out mess in the wheel well is the charcoal canister for the evaporative emissions system that started in '71. The Pine Cone Beetle had to be either a '71 or '72. It has the vents behind the quarter windows and the tail lights aren't round. Vents appeared in '71 and the tail lights changed to the round ones in '73....
The wood stove is your auxiliary heat! Should come in handy up in NE in the winter. I remember my father driving in 3rd gear in his 66 Bug until it warmed up in around 3 miles driving up to 40 mph!
Great beetle find!! Unfortunately all the moisture and rust you get back there is killing alot of vw's and cool cars back there! Very sad people just let stuff sit for years and let it rust and go to waste.
Oh man I was hoping you had come out there with fluids extra coil plugs and wires etc and were going to see if you could drive her out. LOL. Well at least drive her onto a tow truck or something. I've wanted a Beetle since I was a kid in the early 80s. Unfortunately I've never had the money to own one. I really hope before my time is up, I get to one a couple along with a Fastback, Squareback, Rabbit and Dasher. I wish I could get a running, driving pre 1968 Beetle for free. I'm not that lucky.

@@ironicchannelname6457 Not an option. I don't have the money or a place to keep a non running car. That's why I want one that runs and drives. I don't know how to work on cars and also don't want a money pit. I don't have the physical ability or patience to work on cars either. It takes thousand of dollars to get a car in good running condition. Parts are very expensive too, especially when the body is in bad shape. The floor pans are usually rotted out and engines are not easy to find and are very expensive as well, especially to get it running right. And a Beelte engine usually needs a lot of work if you can find one. If I wanted a junk car to fix and had the money, I'd have done it long ago. I can barely afford to fix the vehicle I have now and I have to pay someone to work on it.
You have a lot more Bugs around your area than I do. I wish you luck getting Snow White out of the dirt. I think you could easily sell that old Ford radiator, scrape the 2 wood stoves, and pay for lunch.

Dear 5150mxVW. What the heck? Really? The pine cone bug? And I thought you have enough projects. The content of the yellow van looks very promising! The ole Ford radiator looks nice too. Maybe Johnathan W. (great guy with great channel) can use it!? The design of the additional heater (by the glove box) looks a bit as if it had been stolen from Darth Vader! :-) ;-) 2) Those aren't wood stoves, this type is called cast iron stove! Wood stoves are much lighter and light much faster (unfortunately they can be used only one time). :-) ;-) 3) By the way: Did you really expect that the bug lights would work? Maybe the (cigarette) lighter would have!? Obviously the car is much lighter because of heavy rotting (back to the roots). Thanks a lot for making taping editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health. Postscriptum: Maybe you and Josh will like this!? Usually I would have sent it via email but unfortunately I don't know your address. ruclips.net/video/KovgYwMWhcw/видео.html My comment on Utube: Wonderful, beautiful simply fantastic! This car, the role model for the Karmann Ghia type 34, is perfect. Extremely impressive craftsmanship. Never ever in my whole life I have seen such a clean workshop. Nearly unbeliiiievable. I bet this enthusiast has a decontamination airlock! :-) ;-) Great background story too! Very well done by the filming crew also. Thanks a lot for making taping editing uploading and sharing. Best regards luck and health to all involved people.
Hi . CC , yes i did expect the lights to work haha . Thank you for the link , I will check it out . Josh and I were doing some clearing and digging at the Bug scene today . Best regards , luck and health to you as well CC .
Hi@@5150mxVW thanks for replying. If not usable any more those "wood stoves" are always good for decoration (inside/outside the house, painted black or raw in the garden). At least for my kind of taste respectively in my opinion. 2) I'm curiously looking forward to see Josh and you digging out this ole rust bucket (maybe some dogs could help digging = they will smell the unknown animal and become eager to dig it out.). By the way: It was the perfect shelter for that animal living underneath the bug. It will definitely be pissed off when the roof of it's home respectively the complete pantry is gone. :-) ;-) 3) Wouldn't that cart Mustie1 is working at be perfect for your son? Maybe with a modified body in VW style? But it's also possible that VWnut and Mustie1 will have so much fun driving it that the cart will become a keeper!? Time will tell. Sincerely yours. Postscriptum: Is there any possibility to get your respectively one of your email addresses? I only have the email address from VWnut and I like to send you some pictures you might be interested in. I have the same ford van 1969-74 :)
👍, better shape i hope :)
calling the 7 dwarfs with shovels and a wench!!!
haha ! i put the winch on it yesterday ...move it 3 feet ...
2) Those aren't wood stoves, this type is called cast iron stove! Wood stoves are much lighter and light much faster (unfortunately they can be used only one time). :-) ;-)
3) By the way: Did you really expect that the bug lights would work? Maybe the (cigarette) lighter would have!? Obviously the car is much lighter because of heavy rotting (back to the roots).
Thanks a lot for making taping editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and health.
Postscriptum: Maybe you and Josh will like this!? Usually I would have sent it via email but unfortunately I don't know your address.

My comment on Utube:
Wonderful, beautiful simply fantastic!
This car, the role model for the Karmann Ghia type 34, is perfect.
Extremely impressive craftsmanship. Never ever in my whole life I have seen such a clean workshop. Nearly unbeliiiievable. I bet this enthusiast has a decontamination airlock! :-) ;-)
Great background story too!
Hi@@5150mxVW
thanks for replying.
3) Wouldn't that cart Mustie1 is working at be perfect for your son? Maybe with a modified body in VW style? But it's also possible that VWnut and Mustie1 will have so much fun driving it that the cart will become a keeper!? Time will tell.
Sincerely yours.
Postscriptum: Is there any possibility to get your respectively one of your email addresses? I only have the email address from VWnut and I like to send you some pictures you might be interested in. Thanks in advance.
