Hi! I'm trying to connect with you to see if your parents still have the Tiguan? Do they like it after a few years? I might buy an used one (2011), but wanted to check with you guys - please let me know your thoughts! Thank you!
I love the pano roof as well. I've always been scared of the 2.0T FSI/TSI ever since I did some research on a 09 GTI I was once interested in, the warranty was definitely a good investment should anything come up. From what I've heard this powertrain is a blast to drive though, even without the DSG. Congrats to your Dad.
+ThinkOutsideTheCube Thank you! The TSI doesn't have nearly as many issues as the older FSI engine. Either way I told my dad that he was not bringing another VW into this house without an extended warranty.
+Jakeman21642 there are some pretty insane end of the year deals. She didn't want to roll the dice with Volkswagen long term reliability so it's a lease. Test drove a 2016 Civic as well and as impressive as it is MSRP is not worth it.
+ER B (hondaftw1234) When my dad started to shop I tried getting him to look at a new Civic or CR-V but he refused. I also tried pushing for a new Jetta or Golf (we would have gotten a $2500 loyalty bonus) but in the end this just ended up being such a good deal for a car he loves.
Do you have to worry about hot shutdowns with the engine having a turbocharger? I keep looking at a Volkswagen golf for a next daily driver but I'm just worried about the engine.
Looking to get a candy white one but not sure based on the reviews. Has 89k miles and has been kept up on the maintenance from previous owners. Reviews online all say different things though. Always wanted a nice small sized SUV.
Run. Run far aware. My dad took meticulous care of it. This one jumped timing and thankfully didn’t completely grenade itself but still needed an almost $3000 timing chain job with barely 100k.
Hi, I bought the same car about 3weeks ago and for some reasons some air enter the fuel tank when I filled up at the gas station which made the engine light to come on. Please could you tell me what to do in that case?
I bought replacement HID's for my Mazda6 on Amazon for $5.....They work just fine and the visibility is fantastic. Only problem is that for the Mazda6, you need to take the bumper, grill, and headlight off to replace a bulb...Either HID or halogen, doesn't matter...same problem
+BlakesCars2 They're the factory HID replacements...D2S bright white...not those stupid blue lights that blind everyone...I hate that so I won't do it to others xD
I feel like you've probably already been answered but - yes. It can get by on lower octane gas but I wouldn't put anything below 91 in mine. I'd rather pay the extra money when I fill up than pay way more to fix a damaged engine.
I’m currently looking at buying one, it has 134,000 miles on it. Do you think it’s worth buying or naw, also dose it take premium gasoline because of the turbo?
A lot of reviewers are quick to criticize the small display. It seems to be pretty intuitive so that's all I really care about and I would find myself most likely not even using the nav system just because I'm so used to using my phone.
+Billy William Yeah I have a GPS I keep in my Accord but usually end up using Waze or Googe maps on my phone first before I break the GPS out. Honestly my biggest complaint about the infotainment system is that its not the best looking thing in the world. Its REALLY easy to use though and I haven't had a single issue with it freezing, bluetooth not working or anything else like some other systems *cough cough Myfordtouch*. So far my dad has no complaints about it either.
+Joey Giel Notice how each door doesn't have a physical lock tab. You can pull the door handle twice to unlock or just press the button and then press it again to lock. Its just kind of a typical German car thing.
Krispy Kleen mine is a 2010 SEL and came with the back up camera. It also has the trajectory line as well as a fixed if you need it. I love this car, just wish there was a TDI version in the states.
+jmalibu0326 Yep! I'm pretty sure we're selling it retail too. Its gonna be weird seeing a car that I've looked at for the last five years sit on a used lot.
+thecarexpert21 It will still be around for a while! It has under 90k on it, is paid for and my mom LOVES it. I'm gonna clean it and take it out for an update video at some point while I'm still on break.
this car is the Biggest piece of shit i have ever seen: my parents(im 15) bought it new in 2010, mid Line model(comfort Line i think) for 47 000$ and in the 3 first years, we spent over 25000 fucking dollars on reparations!! wtf Volkswagen? and of course the body already has a ton rust :/ meanwhile my dads 2006 Toyota echo rs hasnt seen the garage yet. and just to mention, the tiguan had 10000 km when it started breaking down. please Do me a favor if you think about getting this vehicle and go look elsewhere
Great job dude. You're made for getting people informed and hyped on a potential new car. Someone give this guy a raise!
instablaster...
My neighbor bought a 2011 comfortline 4 motion and absolutely loves it. I've ridden in it a few times and it's really nice
I love the interior it looks like it just rolled off of the showroom floor!!
It’s funny watching this in 2020 with so many of the “my dad doesn’t want this” ended up the the XC60 that replaced it...
lol

It actually got totaled earlier this year but my dad LOVED it.
@@Jakeman21642 thank you!
I have this exact make and model and love it!

I'd be curious to see a review by RegularCars of this
My sister should be picking up a 2016 Jetta Sport later in the week.
+ER B (hondaftw1234) Nice! I've been seeing a ton of them on the road around here here lately.

Hey, great vid! Would you still recommend this car? Looking to purchase a similar model as my first car.
I just bought one of these exact model and am in love with it, even with it being 11 years old

Check and make sure the cap is on correctly? Otherwise it sounds like your car has some sort of Evap leak.
@Kent Little is the light still off?

BlakesCars2 So I'm completely in the law and don't bother anyone. Go find someone else to try and step on, fuck face, sincerely, me.
BlakesCars2 lol, btw, your car sucks =)
+MJ4cars97 so did your dead mom but I didn't say anything.
Nice video
Is this vehicle Premium gas only?
I feel like you've probably already been answered but - yes. It can get by on lower octane gas but I wouldn't put anything below 91 in mine. I'd rather pay the extra money when I fill up than pay way more to fix a damaged engine.

This was the worst car my family’s ever owned and the engine jumped timing and grenaded itself at under 100k. Do not buy one of these.

I came here after it got wrecked😭
Jake, whats the point of Volkswagen putting a power door lock button on the back doors of their cars?
+Joey Giel To lock and unlock the doors.
i can understand in the front doors to have power door lock buttons but why the back?
+Joey Giel Notice how each door doesn't have a physical lock tab. You can pull the door handle twice to unlock or just press the button and then press it again to lock. Its just kind of a typical German car thing.
I wanna see the other video!!
could somedoby help me decide between this or a 2011 jeep patriot please?
Get the tiguan. American cars don't last nearly as long.

Very nice upgrade! If the dealer is retailing it you should make a review / tour video for the other channel lol
+BlakesCars2 Oh I'll upload that on here if I grab a video of it!
I saw on FB marketplace same color and model 99k miles he wants 11k ?
