My uncle recently passed on his 08 tiguan to me. It's got 128k and is still smooth as silk. I'm 22 and it's the first "grown up", non modified car I've ever had and I love it.
IDK about "middle aged", because I have one and am only 27, but I digress.... The Tiguan is a very classically styled car that will age gracefully and performs better than you'd expect it to. It's comfortable, fun to drive, has good features, and is a great canvas for modifying if that's what floats your boat. Anyone who likes a Golf but also recognizes/has a need for a more comfortable driving experience and more space will like a Tiguan. I'm not personally a fan of the newer facelifted model, but the 2011-2018 styling looks great! I have had absolutely no regrets with mine whatsoever.
My first car was a 2009 Tiguan 125TSI. I K04 swapped it, put it on coilovers, had a full custom exhaust, had it on 19” Scirocco R Talladega wheels, Macan brakes, MK6R steering wheel. There were too many mods to mention. I loved that car so much more than I realised at the time, and I sold it too cheap ): I miss it It went from stock, to APR stage 2 to full stage 3 custom software in 2 years
I'm 17 and for my first car i got myself a 2011 Tiguan 155TSI from factory 0-100 is 6.9 sec which is fast for a SUV but got a tune and other stuff done and it's now 4.6 sec 0-100 as I've upgraded turbos, exhaust, headers, custom tune map etc. Got red angle lights for the front and smoked rear lights along with race spec rear and front bumper.. I've decked her out and I love it to death!
Watched you for years, seen you get some abuse in the comments over time but you seemed to of listened, stepped your game up here, actually informative mate
Im 33 now and i have one exactly the same but in white with all the options. Love the car and already lowered mine because the only thing i couldnt deal with was the arch gap
Good vid ta but I would not touch a over engineered German crap, then diesel engines a constantly regenerating they have the worst automatic gearbox for braking down, guess I just hate German diesels
I’m also 46 on Friday and will be keeping my Mk7 Fiesta ST, I do like the Volvo XC40 though.. along with things like the M4 and AMG cars and Ferrari’s and......
What abt the people that cannot afford a car like that. I just turned 30 and have a mk3 mondeo which has a much bigger boot can fit all 3 kids in the back with plenty of space. Plus good performance and mpg.
Wow seriously you think Jay is Chav you need to get out more go around Salford especially Salford preceint or go to Wythenshawe around the forum. Then you'll no what a Chav is.

Thanks for this insightful review. Could you please do one on the BMW X3? Thanks in advance
Why everyone should absolutely ignore everything you say while watching & liking your videos 🙄

@@martindesmarais6351 I used eibach pro springs
@@pownabown thanks man,and these are ok on standard shocks ?,
@@martindesmarais6351 yea I fitted them to standard shocks and it drove nice
Is it me or is the coolant level a little low?
I’m not sure 30 counts as middle aged , good review on the Tiguan though 🤙🏻
Of course it is? You’ll be lucky to see 60 haha
Old people should buy this car cause it’s cheap and has enough power for them to not be a fucken nuisance on the highway
I’m 31 and looking to buy one this year as a Tow Vehicle for the Track Car 🏎️
Good vid ta but I would not touch a over engineered German crap, then diesel engines a constantly regenerating they have the worst automatic gearbox for braking down, guess I just hate German diesels
Love the Tiguan R they look wide and purposeful
lift those trays properly ;) they lock in position !

Nope I am 43 and will stick with my Lotus Evora gt410 sport and my 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.
Hope you added some powersteering fluid
Nope... I'll stick with my fwd Touran. Wish VW would have made a 4motion version of it (and better engine).
4motion version of what? The Tiguan has 4motion as an option
@@hywel4767 4 motion touran
I think that was incredibly good car review Jamie very grown-up of you
im middle -so i got Tiguan ! I'm happy with car but 140KM is tooooo lo, as second car love to have Nissan 350z but not anough gold :(
Coolant looks low
I noticed that too :P
My vw fox Has slogging back sits and they Was built from 2006 to 2011
Hi looking to buy a Tiguan do all of the back seats move forward?
Gino Vella all rear seats move forward + fold flat forward inc front passenger seat great for carrying long objects
And they also recline, like the front seats.
Personally I’d have a Passat
That ain’t a full sized spare
24,not middle aged and we have the facelift one with dsg. Also got one of them things that sit in the back that cry and poop. Boot is rubbish👍
Your thumbnails are shocking fair play
Howcome jamie has gone from reviewing modified cars to boring standard cars 😪
I Really in enjoyed watching the Amazing Vlogs Good Content
Im 32 with a mk5 gti am i middle aged 😂😂 should i take a vw tiguan on finance no thanks
long shlong silver You are most definitely not middle-aged. It’s highly unlikely that 64 is the maximum average life expectancy! 😂
Gosh forgot how great these were
The question is, is it reliable?
Yup, so reliable my 2018 came with a 6 year 75000 mile warranty. I thought those were extinct.
what does R stads for
Racing
Top review
This is basically carwow with way less product knowledge
Their 250ftlb standard not 350ftlb do your homework before giving people wrong info
Huh?
Do your homework before posting something that literally makes zero sense.
I think you mean 350 NM not lb ft which you said twice 😂
Idk bout you but 30 is 2 entire decades away from middle aged
I don't think you said INTERESTINGLY enough....
WHY CHAVS SHOULD NEVER REVIEW CARS
If you think he's a chav, you've got no idea what a chav is.
