They kind of need to do this imo because Romancing SaGa is really complicated when it comes to JRPGs. Maybe they made the RS2 remake simpler, but the original trilogy was a lot of trial and error. Then you have the pinnacle of all that with Imperial Saga (edit: meant Unlimited SaGa) for PS2 which was too hardcore for even most hardcore fans. I don't see them ever re releasing that one.
@xxJing imperial? Is that like unlimited saga? Quality of life would fix it. No silly reels for chest, fast movement to only eventful spaces rather than 1 at a time, and not have enemies interrupt your combination reels. So glad to see this game getting more promotion material! Also, I noticed at 3:17-3:21 that it seems to be the mansion dungeon in Somon, and I like the more moody, spooky atmosphere of it. The idea of making it look more like a haunted mansion really fits, especially since Kzinssie is in charge of the place and there's a bunch of undead troops inside.
Really love what square is doing with SaGa over here. Keep up the good work i’ll keep supporting. Hopefully they’ll continue even after Kawazu’s no longer there.

Romancing Saga is a medieval fantasy JRPG that has what is missing from today's Final Fantasy. The most popular series of Romancing Saga has been fully remade. By the way, it is well known that the seven heroes who appear as enemies are victims. The story of Romancing Saga 2 is said to be modeled on the Akira Kurosawa movie "Seven Samurai," but the subtitle "Revenge of the Seven" could be taken to mean that the heroes who once saved mankind were sent out as enemies in deformed forms to take revenge for a debt they owed, but were actually victims of the Seven Heroes.
Can't wait to finally play this! I recently finished Minstrel Song and loved it after taking the time to learn how it works. The Game Boy trilogy is also very fun and nostalgic.
If you're new to the series: when you play the game, do your best to figure out as much as you can, and trust that the game knows what it's doing. You'll feel like maybe you're not playing it right, but that's because it isn't the kind of game that spells everything out for you. The intent is to let you play how you want, go where you want. It's designed to let you do what you want to do. Only towards the end will you feel like you really "get" it, and you'll have a better appreciation of what the series is really about. There are guides all over the internet when you really need them, but I recommend not using them until you really feel stuck. Most of them are written by people who will scare you into thinking you've not played optimally enough. It's rarely, if ever, true.
Awesome to see a video like this in English, I was expecting Japanese with subtitles (and there's nothing wrong with that, I love Japanese) but then was surprised by a very good English with a nice Japanese accent. Great job! Thank you for the effort.
