My friend had the bright idea of putting a good plate on a truck we had to help his mom move, the truck needed smog and other stuff before it was road legal. We got caught very quick and they did the stop with guns drawn and us face down in the dirt. We have never even been pulled over before, when i asked why it was so dramatic they said "dont defraud the DMV its a serious crime". They thought we were tweakers that just stole the truck.

Do you seriously think we would ever incarcerate for such low level crimes like this? If we did we would never have the jails to house everyone. Our jails are already overwhelmed with those committing actual serious acts and extreme repeat offenders. The judicial system is not spineless. Both of these details were shown on a map another commenter provided. So that can be an indication that the person is more of a threat to the officer. Thus, the gun. You don't initiate a telephone call as a police officer approaches you during a traffic stop. She had an illegal license plate on the car and no driver's license, and I see no way you can describe her threatening to spit in the police officers face as being calm. Officer definitely escalated the incident with his temper as well. Once she stopped and he seen she had nothing to threaten him he should’ve asked her to get out of the vehicle. He went on a power trip because she didn’t hang up as fast as he thought he should. He was so sassy. She wrong too but he supposed to be the reasonable one at all times

Reminds me of the cop in Tennessee I believe that pulled a women over because the car was registered to a guy with an outstanding warrant. Officer tried so hard to help her only for her to resist and tried shooting him.

It's the new tactic after body cams became commonplace. Realizing that the footage will come out eventually, they record and cherry pick the parts to remove context and make the officer look bad/unreasonable to the public so they already have their minds made up.

It’s very logical that she did not see or hear the cop her music was blasting. The officer came to the car with temper while she responded calmly. For him to escalate the situation like he did was uncalled for and just plain nasty.
