This is a really cool coincidence I have created my own recipe by experimenting by taste trial and error and I’ve ended with nearly the exact same ingredients over time without a crock pot. I’m about to try it with a crock pot.
I made this but used chicken breasts. Changes: up the chicken broth to 3 cups, and the vegetables up 3 cups. Cut down the time from 4 hours on high, to 2 hours. Needs other kind of seasoning, but otherwise, very easy and delicious. Oh, I would change from jasmine rice to brown rice. for the healthy factor. thank you
Another great recipe Claudia! Seared/Sauteed chicken, onions/garlic will make a big difference in the taste. Love the slow cooker too. Mine is so old, but going strong!
I peel the skin back off the thigh and season directly on the meat and then wrap the skin back over where it was and then season on top of the skin too before flipping over and seasoning the bottom of the thigh.

You could save some of the chicken stock to deglaze the fry pan and get some of the caramelized chicken onions and garlic off the bottom for a little added flavour.
This looked great. Definitely something that can be done on a weeknight. I have one suggestion to get as much flavor as possible. After cooking the onions pour in a very little vegetable or chicken stock to de glase the pan and add all that fond that gets picked up with the deglaze. Have a great day 🌤 😀.

If you cook the rice first by time the chicken is done it’s gonna be soggy. gonna I suggested cooked the chicken first with that done then put the rice in. That’s the way my mama used to make it.

I'd listen to this comment. I also seen some questionable directions I had to tweak a bit. As a person who has cooked rice for a very long time. The rule of thumb to make rice perfect is (×2) So if you have 1 cup of rice you would put 2 cups/liquid of choice. Since the recipe called for 2 cups of rice, the rule of thumb you would call for 4 cups of broth.❤
Looks great! We kept the rice separate in case we needed a lower-carb meal option for meal prep. We put up a video on our channel if anyone needs the recipe!
Jasmine rice needs no washing because it’s clean . I make our Sri Lankan biriyani rice and for years my granny never washed rice . If you do this the flavour of the rice does not come out well . If your doing normal white rice then you can wash if you prefer.
I’ve made this before and I throw in butter and that helps the rice soften and taste great!

Yes, You're exactly right....cause I followed her measurements in her description and it was dry and burnt!!!!! Ruined all those ingredients.

Question can you use chicken breast on bone and would the seat time be more and would cooking time be more as well. This looks delicious
