Is there any liquid to rice ratio that I should follow for this? For example, if I use 2 cups of rice, how much liquid should I use? Will it be a 1:1 ratio (2 cups of liquid for 2 cups of rice)? Thanks!
I do a similar recipe in the oven that uses equal amounts of liquid to rice and it's one of our favorites. I'm thinking it's because the chicken thighs produce moisture/liquid into the equation. I really don't know, but it works!
She just browned it. She didn't pre-cook it all the way through. It definitely won't taste the same without browning the chicken. This way it tastes a lot like fried chicken. It's very bland and the skin is very slimy and won't brown if you just throw it in the Crock-Pot without browning it first.

I don’t think paprika has any flavor
I have to try this. Most recipes on youtube call for chicken breast, which is about as flavorful as a wad of toilet paper. Yours sounds great.
True dat 😊

Looks great. Trying it tomorrow
Hope you enjoy
This sounds good!
Going to try this! Do you rinse the rice first? Presume you do but didn't notice.
No we didn't rinse the rice!
@@EatingonaDime Thanks for the prompt reply, will definitely be trying this recipe!
I rinse mine especially since I like using basmati or jasmine rice
Olive oil has a low smoke point. Use avocado oil.
Why does every professional chef cook with olive oil?
@@arachosia They don't FRY with it. They tend to use canola oil to fry.
Would you recommend adding all the drippings from that pan into the crockpot as well? Or woukd that make it too greasy?
Cool the pan drippings, scrape off the fat. The remaining jelly is great for the soup stock.
Keep it, cool it, scrape off the fat, use as soup stock with leftovers and bones.
We think it makes it too greasy and will float to the top of the crock pot.

I would say 1-1 ratio. If t feels weird since normally it is a 1-2 ratio but this will prefer the rice from being mushy
Thank you! Yeah that's fair since on slow cookers it will cook a bit differently.
I have 2 questions, Can I add water to the chicken stock to make 2 cups, I have garlic cloves. Cut them fine, don't have minced garlic from the store.
Yes. Doing all those is fine.
Can I use brown rice ? Can I also add vegetables in this recipe like carrots, onions and celery?
Yes, you can to both!
Doesn't she have pretty hair and features? And a great cook! A sweetheart! I love jars of garlic. Fresh is the best if available.
Thank you so much! Yes, we love pre-jarred garlic too! Such a time saver!
Do we need to wash rice first?
Yummy 😋
Can you cook this on low setting. If yes how long?
Probably 6 to 8 hours on low.
I always double the liquid for the rice, is this rice different?

@@blackfootdaisy rice will absorb drippings
Cooking in the crock pot is different as not as much liquid cooks off so we don't use as much liquid when cooking rice in the crock pot.
Awesome share and channel here
See you soon big thumbs up 👉👉👍👍🤗
Do I have to precook the chicken?
