After you've removed the chicken from the crockpot/slow cooker, add about 2 cups of instant rice to the remaining juices and let it rest until the chicken comes out of the broiler. You might need to add a bit of salt but definitely makes a tasty side for the chicken!!!

Depends on what kind of rice and how much liquid you have. White rice needs a 1:1 ratio of rice:liquid. Other types of rice require more liquid.

I did this Saturday. I wasn't sure about the ingredients but I put avocado oil on the bottom before my chicken. I added the seasonings to the oil and then added the chicken turning them around in the oil and seasonings then placed them skin side up. I then added some additional salt free seasoning and 2 tablespoons of butter pats and 1/4 cup of water. I cooked it on high for 4 hours. I looked at it at 3 hours but decided it needed another 1/2 hour. At 3 1/2 hours, it was fall off the bone done. It was delicious. I don't care about the skin as I gave it to the dogs. I cooked it this way as I didn't want to have to watch it cooking in pan on stove.
