Just a note to say that I'm thinking of you as I make yet another of your recipes, this one for about the fourth time. I saw some comments on a recent video (the baked potato casserole) that you'd not been feeling well. Life is hard and you make it easier for us with your recipes. I hope that somehow, life is a bit easier for you in return. It's always worth living. xo

Just made this with 5-6 drumsticks instead of the breast. The chicken fell right off the bone, awesome lemony-garlic flavour, just amazing. Can't wait to try more of your recipes, thanks for this!

I was looking for an easy crock pot dinner with some chicken breast I had. This video was only 4 minutes long and had some good views so I clicked; after 2 minutes I went to prepare my dinner. Within 10minutes I have all the ingredients in my crock pot. Now I am watching the last 2 minutes. I will update after we eat!

I've made it four times. The last two times, the chicken has been a little dry and the bottom was dark while the top was fine. I think I didn't put enough seasoning (oil and indegridents) I wonder if i need to put some water in it.

Yes we had our first slow cooker in the mid 1980s and loved it. Put it on in the morning and come home to a cooked meal after a hard day’s work and journey. We then fell out of love with it and can’t remember what we did with it - we bought a smaller one recently and it’s great. We’ve been saying for ages we’ll have to get another slow cooker - and now they are all the rage

I found that if you want to cook faster in a slow cooker, wrap the top of it with heavy duty foil and then put the cover on top of that. Your food will be done sooner.

I tried the One Pot Slow Cooked Chicken Dinner last night and it was a success, i ate half the recipe and then my friends took a small little teaspoon and i said so if you like it why you don't eat more? (womens) I ate the other half tonight and i got the winter vegetable recipe cooking! You guys are literally saving me loads and keeping me well fed. Thank you, and by the way you guys are awesome! I gave this a go today using fresh coriander instead of oregano, the aroma during cooking is amazing, I had to put a "do not open" note on the slow cooker because I knew someone would be tempted to open it. The end result was delicious, I added a chicken cube and a little corn flour to create a thick sauce with the juices and it was amazing. I plan to try cooking fish in this marinade next time. Thanks OPC.

potatoes are a really underappreciated workout food, they're easy to digest, high in vitamins and minerals, and if you cook them in a healthy way they're really low calorie vs how filling they are (boiled potatoes ranked #1 out of over 100 foods on the satisfaction scale). They're also super high in potassium which is great for staving off post workout cramps! They're more of a pre-workout food due to being high in simple carbs though. The chicken in this recipe is high in protein and low in fat too, which makes this a great workout meal

+Dylan Heath As much as I appreciate your interest in my review, please don't nag me about it. Not that it is anyone's business, I guess I should tell you that I have been very ill for a long time - since I made my version of the chicken dish.
However, since you did ask, here is what I did:
My slow cooked chicken dinner did not turn out just as good as this one in the video. I think I added a little too much water, so the potatoes were too mushy for my taste. The leftover broth went into the freezer. I had to leave out the carrots because I didn't have any at the time. When I make this again, I will be sure to tweak the recipe to my taste and hopefully leave a more thorough review. Hopefully I will be feeling better by then.

I have got a big slow cooker in the back of a cupboard. This recipe will come in handy when it gets to 30 C next week. Last summer it got up to 43 C.
When it's that hot, you cook at night or eat cold sandwiches and salads in the day.
I never thought to use the crock pot. I can get some sleep, and wake up to the wonderful smell of lunch and dinner. Maybe even breakfast. ;)

Just made this today for dinner tonight. OMG this was wonderful. Chicken was so........moist, potatoes were cooked to perfection and my baby carrots that were from a bag were delicious. So nice to come home from work and dinner was done. I did thicken up the gravy, which by the way was great. Thank you for sharing a wonderful recipe.

Oh my David! This looks amazing! I would love to use bone in skinless chicken thighs, or "chicken chops" as they call them in Melbourne..I got some birthday money to spend & you have finally convinced me to buy a slow cooker rather than pressure. Thank you David :)

Hello. A good old Yankee here. I have to say I love your videos and what I perceive as enthusiasm while you cook. I have tried a few of your recipes and all have been delicious. And for what it is worth, your accent makes your videos that much more endearing. Thank you for your delightful presentations. Cheers

It was bland for us, but my family likes bold flavors. We used greek dressing at the table to give it some personality.

Its great to see somebody enjoying themselves while showing the easiest ways to achieve perfection. Once again thank you and I'll be leaving more feedback after I try more dishes.

    • @2faced972
      @2faced972 7 лет назад +2

In a crock pot, it's generally pretty common to cook most things on low for 8 hours.

Save the juices to make rice with! Just a reminder than when you peel your carrots, you are throwing a majority of the vitamins down the drain. Will make this soon, looks yummy!

I did this with chicken breast but I cubed it and I added potatoes, carrots and onions. I put in two cups of chicken broth, and I also used garlic powder, salt/pepper, adobo, and paprika! This is gonna taste amazing.
