Lyrics are brutal
Dave really should have named this song " kill em all "
Early Megadeth always sounded like they were playing at the edge of their ability, as blisteringly fast and agonizingly complicated as possible. Songs like this one and Killings My Business, Last Rites, Bad Omen and more sound like they are on the verge of falling apart from the sheer speed.
Agreed, but... they hold it together, love this music.
Early Megadeth is like no other! The best! Countdown to Extinction is when they started changing yet became mainstream at the same time. Upto that point you didn't hear any Megadeth on the radio.
It's dave
2:58 Mustaine
5:05 Mustaine
9:01 Poland
and the solo in intro belongs to Poland
This song was supposed to be an instrumental, but the producers thought that it wouldn’t be commercial friendly, so he wrote the lyrics to be about a guy being possessed by a demon and goes on a killing rampage
lol the complete opposite of commercial friendly
Someone told me the ACDC song night prowler inspired the night stalker killer, which inspired this song. I have no idea if true or not, or if the timeline even works though.
@@chitura71 tell ya what, I was in los angeles when Ramirez ran amok in Orange County.
Search the timeline for released films within that year.
😉
Early Megadeth is basically state of the art speed metal with sprinkles of jazz and its so fuckin good.
Bloodbaths are my way of getting clean! Best line ever.
Dirk Verbeuren (Megadeth's drummer nowadays) did a complete drum playthrough of THIS song on his channel. Preety cool, if you wanna see exactly what the drums are doing. 🤟
Great video
Guitar solo at the beginning is Chris Poland without a doubt.
First solo over the slow part is Chris Poland, then its Mustaine , then Poland
Slow melodic intro solo is Poland then shifts to Dave then Dave again then last solo is Poland
@@ronpaul1082 that's what i meant 👍👍👍👍
My dude really start watching an ad 🤣.
Peace sells line up. Dave Mustaine lead vocals. Lead +rythm guitar Chris Poland Lead guitar. Dave ellefson. bass + vocals. Gar Samuelson. Percussions R.I.P.
Their very best lineup imo
I AGREE@@henrytate5206
MY FAVORITE
Gar (RIP) was a jazz drummer before he joined Megadeth at it's founding.
RIP
Yeah, I agree with you 100% this is my favorite song of the album also extremely fun and hard to play. It's one of those songs that takes you weeks to learn how to play properly but when you finally do its just fun.
@Aaron Pignatiello keep practicing dude, it only gets easier. I know the struggle right now since I'm having to re learn a lot of songs after years of not playing due to chemo.
Its great to see someone that knows how to appreciate music! I love your reactions!
Agreed best song on the album
By far their best album and song.
Couldn't not agree anymore with you mate 👌👌. My favourites are " Wake Up Dead" , "My Last Word" "Peace Sells" and "Conjuring" .
Black Friday is composed pretty neatly.
@@dbmdrums1105 those are literally my top favorites too 😂
I like this song better than Holy wars because of the intricate guitar playing and song structure. Holy wars is a head banging paradise. This song makes you listen to the song closely.
The opening bluesy lead over the clean guitar arpeggios is Poland and then Mustaine takes over for the fast shred that leads into the opening lyric.
Keep on killing the Megadeth 🔥🔥👍👍🤘🤘☠☠
Not sure if you’ve stumbled across this, but Gar’s isolated drum tracks are cool to listen to.
I think what made him such a great “Metal drummer” was his Jazz Fusion background.
You can “feel” the swing and the groove of the song in all of his parts.
(And strangely enough, that is a quality that was there from the beginning of Metal with Bill Ward’s swing & feel)
Many Metal drummers, imho, focused way too much on being too perfect & ended up sounding “mechanical” (& nowadays Quantized to all holy hell).
Gar’s drum parts had a “swing” to them & a feel that made him & the music sound unique, it’s subtle, but subtle is what makes “good” become “great”!
You could program this and probably get it pretty close to sounding the same, but it definitely won’t “feel” the same.

My next drum cover will be Wake Up Dead actually!!! And I've listen to his isolated track of that song yeah definitely has a feel to it!!! When it gets uploaded in probably about a week or two you should tell me how I did!! 😊
My favorite thrash song of all
Gar was a beast
I've been waiting for you to react to this song. It's my all time favorite Megadeth song!!!!
Story goes, Dave 1 met Dave 2 (in same apt building) when Dave 2 repeatedly thumped the Van Halen classic bassline from 'Runnin with the Devil' and Dave 1 couldn't tolerate it.
My last words is fire too
Chris Poland. And blankets.
The Beginning solo was done by Chris Poland. The guitarist who played on their fist two albums. Thought as one of his greatest Megadeth solos. Huge jazz influence accompanied with amazing bends and tone!
Shoutout to my aussie brother Rattlehead. This his thang yo.
Bro I'm 50, which means middle school and High School in the mid 80s, you think it's fire right , well in 86 there was nothing heavier than metallica and megadeath so imagine how blown we were to hear this song in the days before slipknot, lamb of God, Korn, 34 years later and it still is as badass as ever
I'm 50 too. This, Slayer, Metallica, Testament, some Anthrax were what I lived on! I still love it, and I think you and I are part of the last generation to see real creativity and freedom in music
Sweet. I really wanted your take on this. This is a brutal track. On this whole album if you really listen to the tone? You'll tell them apart immediately. As far as who is soloing and I mentioned earlier in your Venture into this album, this song is absolutely brutal my favorite I think. Really enjoying listening to this again. It's been awhile. Just brutal LOL
La mejor canción de MegadetH y de las mejores del metal
🇺🇾🤘🏻
react to megadeth - bad omen is my favorite song from the peace sells album
yyyyup
Not to be 'that jerk' that complains about spelling, but it's 'Good Mourning', not 'Good Morning' ... for obvious reasons (nervous laughter)... This is one of those songs that gets stuck in your head, then gets you strange looks when you accidentally start singing it out loud.
Yo thanks for telling my that I fucked up on the title
Yep
@Aaron Pignatiello Not to be 'that jerk' again about spelling, but it's 'singing' not 'signing' ... although ... that really made me laugh trying to picture someone doing this song in sign language :-)
Megadeth 🤘 👍
Lol your reaction a d your right best song on the album period (: At least the most intense raw in your face one (:
I can match hollywood films to their mirrored selves.
48hrs = Resevoir Dogs.
A legend tells that 'Dark Side of the Moon' (released a month after my birth), is synced to a portion of the 'Wizard of Oz'.
I personally just synced 'Rust in Peace' to the first two 'Ghostbusters' films.
What movie...does 'Peace Sells...' match?
Tick...tock
Leatherface.
The saw is family!
Then again bruh, in the killcrazy 80s, this tune could apply to a 'Chucky' doll! 🤣
I think the Texas fam due to Leatherface's side gig as a butcher.
He maintained a very professional dress code ya know?! 😎
Drummers name was Gar Samuelson
This channel reminds me of of the old RUclips, and I mean that as a compliment.😉
Gene Simmons invented everything else but Dave invented Black Friday. It describes the day perfectly.
Bro I know this is is 2yrs late, but supposedly it was inspired by Dijon Carruthers (sp?) an occultist who did drums for Megadeth before Gar joined the band. And the old saying is true : jazz drummers seem to make metal look easy. Metal drummers seem to make jazz look hard.
*New Drinking Game*
take a shot every time this foo flips his hair
(btw I've had long hair too & I did the same thing haha but now that I've had short hair a while I notice it intensely)
Or take a shot everytime he says "this is fire" lol
gar fucking samuelson , RIP
Chris Poland
The whole album is 🔥, but I like Devil's island better than all.
Nah, My Last Words is best
@@caseyjones9359 I can respect that a really really fantastic song, but I like Devil's island better.
I thought it seemed like they words were coming from someone else, like Jack the Ripper. I don't think Dave would purposefully sound like it was really him saying or thinking all this stuff. " was an unidentified serial
killer active in the largely impoverished areas in and ... The body of
Mary Ann Nichols was discovered at about 3:40 a.m. on 31 August 1888"
Dave to other bands. You want to write about killing and murder? No problem. Let me show you how it’s done.
Reading the lyrics as you listen to Megadeth is essential.
Cool reaction.
Aguante Megadave
so just a little hint to tell you what the lyrics are about, take a deep dive into some Clint Eastwood movies!
Chris Poland is the other guitarist
I wanna hear him listen to one of the heaviest hitters in the game Vinny Daze (R.I.P.) "Demolition Hammer - Skull Fracturing Nightmare" ruclips.net/video/RVgiUiuTE30/видео.html
You think Slayer was hard? Brace yourself!
Only people with menal illness can get influenced by this song.... its just a song... ffs. Even if it's to get the anger out... its okay.. people were overreacting over the lyrics...
The latter part of the song is about Jack the Ripper
I think CTE album is megadeth best.
I wanna like the video but it has 69 likes...
Dont do it
Bad Omen and My Last Words... skip I Ain't Superstitious cover
😄 it's ok I guess
Nowhere near as good as the these boots are made for walking cover on the previous ( first ) record
is this a guy or a girl?
