      @@AgnesMann You are great partners? You might like to mention that we can do a deal with a dealer to buy a truck, and base that truck at the dealer's yard, with their approval - you could suggest that the dealer is to do all the maintenance, right across the board. That will cover a lot of needs on the o licence plus it will provide you with secure parking, a garage, for maintenance and onsite - mechanics, technicians and engineers 👍👍👍 win, win, win not cheap!! But most excellent.
      Also you might want to mention the use of freight forwarders and autoroute agencies and compare the two. Also, when bidding a job his do you know if the job is great and not a load of crapola, also, how do you know if you will get paid? A cool trip to and from Europe there and back will cost a Ton of money in fuel, ferry costs, stowaway risks.
      Also - pay your workers first, the rest of the world next and pay on time on target and they will appreciate that one thing and for that they should be concientious in their responsibilities of running your truck.
      very cool video thank you both. 12:27 👍

    If you think about it in hindsight, any potential venture of wanting your own business regardless of what field it’s in will always be stressful to run. If the motivation is there with enough hard work and persevere through you can reap the rewards. It’s all about willingness so if your ambitious enough, then yes nothing should stop you or put you off from being a owner operator. Dream big as sky’s the limit if you aim to put the physical graft in to do so if you ask me.

    As Jash mentioned at the end make money and get out. That’s the further of small trucking business in the UK. You earn more being a driver then being an owner operator. Too many overheads to cover and stress is just enormous. Rather be a TM and manage someone’s company then be a Owner Operator.

    • @AgnesMann

    You need 8k in the bank, before Gov will even look at you. You need a yard for maintenance, complete with mechanics and yard manager, you need a CPC ( PASS AN EXAM), the original CPC for haulage yard manager qualification. You need all the bit if you want an international CPC.

    • @AgnesMann
      @AgnesMann  2 года назад

      8 k is only if you have one truck. If more than that 4,5k for each truck. You don’t need yard manager but transport manager i.e. CPC trained person to manage the transport. You can hire TM so don’t have to pass CPC yourself. I gather you don’t have O license yourself but work in transport or know someone that does?

    • @AgnesMann

      It varies depending on the month. January we are normally on a loss and revenue is close to nil. overall comes to same salary as if you would be employed as a driver working for someone else only with the advantage of paying tax after you have earned the money as opposed to having it deducted before you get paid.
