    Cool. I paid for my class 1 training will start in May. I'm in this industry but with 2 vans both making around £300-400 a day. Luckly my other van is drove by my mum lol. We do palletised goods only working with our local industrial estate. This is a good country to make money absolutely no excuses. I started in this industry with a £700 clapped Mercedes Sprinter from 2005 delivering on behalf of Amazon this was in 2019-2020 then leveled up saved money for ads and got my own customers now i want to move to lorries i believe a 18t lorry will fullfil my needs cheers everyone

      Jash… shortage of lorry drivers only ended up costing business more and we did not see much change in work. I think shortage was caused by IR35 as most drivers went on permanent contracts or went back to they country. COVID also did not help as many venerable drivers just packed up or took long term time off not forgetting shortfall of new drivers

    I have need of a hiab truck about 4 times a year and transport costs cut right into any profit i might make. Which is not large on my side gig. I also work 14 days a month and don't want to change jobs. So I'm getting hgv licensed for personal use. However I'd also be keen to do jobs on my days off as a cash driver, pro rata. So not an employee. No employment issues etc. As a business if you were to use such a driver what would you require of them to operate. What would I need to say rent a truck for personal use. Or to drive for someone occasionally ?

    • @AgnesMann
      @AgnesMann  Год назад

      You cannot drive your own truck (or hire one) without O licence. You can drive other companies trucks with no O licence as they have it. So if you want to just do a few times a week hgv driving for other company you will need to apply for O licence first. Hope that helps but I was not sure exactly what else you need to know

    • @AgnesMann
      @AgnesMann  Год назад +1

      It really will depend on what kind of jobs and how often will you manage to get jobs. Say in a good case scenario with one truck you get daily jobs for £700 per day. That will bring you £15400 if you work mon to fri plus 2 Saturdays. But if you miss days you miss turnover. If you get smaller jobs you also make less. If you manage to get higher paid jobs you can make even £20k. But with one truck this is kind of max of your earnings unless you subcontract your extra jobs to other operators and make a little commissions. Then you can make more. So as you can see it can vary massively. Hope this helps but if you need more help we do offer consultations one to one with Jash and me so email me on Agnes.mann@hotmail.com if you want to hear more about it
