Jash… it’s difficult time but you must pass the cost on to your customers. It’s shame that many owner operators are working for little money 💰 and destroy the small operators. I strongly believe that all transport companies should set minimum rate of at least £3.60 per mile
I have need of a hiab truck about 4 times a year and transport costs cut right into any profit i might make. Which is not large on my side gig. I also work 14 days a month and don't want to change jobs. So I'm getting hgv licensed for personal use. However I'd also be keen to do jobs on my days off as a cash driver, pro rata. So not an employee. No employment issues etc. As a business if you were to use such a driver what would you require of them to operate. What would I need to say rent a truck for personal use. Or to drive for someone occasionally ?
You cannot drive your own truck (or hire one) without O licence. You can drive other companies trucks with no O licence as they have it. So if you want to just do a few times a week hgv driving for other company you will need to apply for O licence first. Hope that helps but I was not sure exactly what else you need to know
I’m about to relocate to Europe from the USA since I hold a Spanish passport and am curious as to which load board you would recommend. I’m moving to Poland specifically and it seems that the freight market is completely different there from what I’m used to seeing in the US. Would appreciate your advice on how to obtain loads from that region. I’m fluent in English, Spanish, and basic Italian and am not opposed to being out of the country for a bit at a time
I am sorry but I know nothing about Polish market so won’t be able to help you. Good luck and I hope you like Poland. Which city you’re going to stay in ?
@@AgnesMann I’m planning on setting up shop in Warsaw. We were considering Valencia but my wife prefers to return to Poland after being away for several years. Would it be possible for me to do loads from the UK and into the EU? I know that things changed with Brexit but I’m just trying to be as informed as I can. Gotta make it somehow
Dear hope you both good You are doing with this all very useful full information 1500 thousand per truck is weekly or monthly Please let me know Thanks
Let's say 15k ish turnover, is that with two drivers? Or just day run could hit this target? Because I'm planning to get one unit for now, drive it myself on days and sat another driver on nights, thanks
It really will depend on what kind of jobs and how often will you manage to get jobs. Say in a good case scenario with one truck you get daily jobs for £700 per day. That will bring you £15400 if you work mon to fri plus 2 Saturdays. But if you miss days you miss turnover. If you get smaller jobs you also make less. If you manage to get higher paid jobs you can make even £20k. But with one truck this is kind of max of your earnings unless you subcontract your extra jobs to other operators and make a little commissions. Then you can make more. So as you can see it can vary massively. Hope this helps but if you need more help we do offer consultations one to one with Jash and me so email me on Agnes.mann@hotmail.com if you want to hear more about it
Depends where you operate from and kind of work you’re taking. Also we have 44t so don’t take smaller jobs. But that’s good that you manage to get work off the platform. We use HX so slightly different to CX. Thanks for watching
Hi folks, congratulations on the informative video. If possible, I'd like to know which is the best software you recommend for obtaining cargo? I'm planning to start in March, I’m from Ipswich Suffolk. Thank you very much!
I'm only a Truck driver who has a Registered Ltd Company. I've been working through Agencies as PAYE. Most Agencies dont want work with Ltd. I'm struggling to get a job with my Ltd Company. Any help on how to get work with my Ltd Company rather than as PAYE?
Hope the trucking is going well . Costs very high.I got a opportunity to take on a fuel run recently. Artic petrol diesel deliveries but declined as a lot of extra cost in adr and too inconsistent.
ADR is a very difficult to manage and get into as a transport buisness but once youre in it the money can be much better.. It is a very hight overheads business indeed but money can be made too. We have left the country so the business been sold for now.
so when you say between April to December you average 15k per truck, do you mean 15k in total for 9 months or 15k per month? I'm looking into getting a licence but I want to know if it's worthwhile me leaving my existing trade to go into another trade and obviously the driving factor for me is the money
It really depends on how hard you are looking. At the start might be hard to find a contract and you will likely be picking up the loads from exchange platforms and eventually you might make some contacts and land a contracts. Thank you
Definitely wouldn't get into this game. If a firm like knights of old go bust what hope is there for small firms starting out. Crazy to go into this imo
It depends on many factors and type of work you’ll be doing so I can advise. We can offer consultations if you are interested. Email me and I’ll provide you more details
Hi guys do you employ people at the moment I have all documents required but no experience. You look like very honest people so I would like to work with you.If you are interested I can send my cv. Kind regards
once you choose the truck, the dealer will have financing options for you. speak to them and see what are the options and how much you can submit as it varies based on your own circumstances. hope this helps
with amazon load board they will put out the price and on urgent loads you have to price them vis email. you have to be competitive. work out you expense and then you can price

Hi there I'm looking to get operator licence would you please help me with that? Can I hire transport manager,is it better to obtain it myself, what platforms would you recommend?
Transport work for new operators is little slow this year. there is work on Amazon however pay rate is awful. Haulage Exchange is waste of money at the moment. If you have contract linedup then its worth to start you businerss

Hi you guys are a beautiful couple and very warm hearted thanks for your advice we appreciate it. Quick question I am studying for my HGV licence now, I want to be an owner driver with only 1 truck for myself is that ok for business just to have 1 truck also would I get finance or lease with bad credit rating? Thanks
Yes it’s absolutely find to start off with one truck and even better that you will be driving yourself as opposed to employing stuff to start with. If you have a bad credit rating it might affect the finance or lease so I’d suggest to try upping your score so it’s better you sort it out now
@@Turbo_BHP it will depend on how many trucks and trailers, whether you’re paying cash or financing it, what’s the kind of jobs you’ll be doing etc. I’d say for one truck it’s best to start of minimum 25/30k if you will finance your truck but again this will depend on above mentioned factors (and other factors which have not mentioned)

Hi Agnes, Good to see those earnings, Are these figures driving just all over in th UK or driving to europe just or mix ? Other thing which i cant get is how you find the loads then , i mean if you have only 1 truck , is there any freight broker or you have to contract with any kind of company like Asda for example. thank you
Hi thank you for comment We only have national licence and we look for loads on haulage (while driving you check them whenever you stop or you pay an allocator if you can afford one) We do have a contract now but used to rely solely on Haulage exchange
This means with national licence you can only transport in UK just ? what if we go to the Europe also can if be more protable ? if its possible i mean And also please tell me that do you guys offer any kind of chargeable course, clases, (however it call i mean), so i`ll have in mind.

Thanks for this video, as per your previous video "Cost of running a small business" you have explained that your estimated expenses for 2 trucks are between 12k to 15k. So that means per each truck would be between 6k to 8k expenses per month. in this video, you are talking about Profit and according to you, the estimated profit would be arround 15k per month. So that means the trucking business is 40% to 50% profitable. am I right?
In this video we were talking about the Turnover/ revenue/sales (all same thing) Not Profit... So if you have revenue of 20k and expenses of 10 you're left with 10k. Then you still have to pay the tax. Are you thinking of getting in the business or are you already in?

Thank you for watching, please share with others in business ;)
Jash… it’s difficult time but you must pass the cost on to your customers. It’s shame that many owner operators are working for little money 💰 and destroy the small operators. I strongly believe that all transport companies should set minimum rate of at least £3.60 per mile
Be honest very nice video and very informative many thanks ❤
Thank you and most welcome
Which are the load board you are using for picking up loads in UK?
None at the moment. We are no longer operating. Transport has died down after brexit.
What would be sufficient amount of money in the company that we need to have ?
It depends on how many trucks you have on your licence or planning to have. please check on the operator licence or .gov for indepth info.
Hope that helps but I was not sure exactly what else you need to know
@@AgnesMann these hoops i will also jump through. 😁
@@AgnesMann can I hire one for fun 😁 like chris eubank.
@@TheFoxOfThredneedleStreet no I don’t think the hire company would let you have it with no license but I might be wrong
They make big money 🎉
nowhere near big, but we are blessed and humbled to make a decent living out of it. Are you in the business?
My question was there 😀
Was it? Which one ?
Average per Mile 👍
Good Job. Greetings from Poland
Thank you. Greetings from the Uk. Which part of Poland are you watching us from
God Bless you guys, you doing so well 🙏 Bless you
Well lately it’s been very tough times as jobs had quieten down for some reason. I hope it soon picks up. Are you too in the business
Dear hope you both good
You are doing with this all very useful full information
1500 thousand per truck is weekly or monthly
Please let me know
Thanks
average per month. at the moment transport is not doing well.
Hope this helps but if you need more help we do offer consultations one to one with Jash and me so email me on Agnes.mann@hotmail.com if you want to hear more about it
After petrol, road payment like toll, driver salary are included yes??? Just before income taxes 15k
it is a turnover yes so all cost need to then be deducted. Thank you for watching
Good content. I’ve started working with CX on January and have been extremely busy with a 18T truck. Could be just me 🤷♂️
Depends where you operate from and kind of work you’re taking.

Big companies eat out small companies it’s very hard to stay on profit at start !
Ok very good . Did ye set up a transport company in another country.
No. We will do different type of business in India
I am going to set up in Argentina. Easier for me and less regulation.
Yes I can imagine. UK is too strict and ridiculous when it comes to regulations
so when you say between April to December you average 15k per truck, do you mean 15k in total for 9 months or 15k per month? I'm looking into getting a licence but I want to know if it's worthwhile me leaving my existing trade to go into another trade and obviously the driving factor for me is the money
Hi, We meant each month average. If you need help setting up let us know, we are here to help
Bery very good information thank you soo much sir ma’am. If i buy my own truck how can i fine work ? Is it easy to find work contract or hard ?
It really depends on how hard you are looking. At the start might be hard to find a contract and you will likely be picking up the loads from exchange platforms and eventually you might make some contacts and land a contracts.
Thank you
Just started and have no idea how I should set pricing, please please can you help?
you need to calculate your cost then then add your profit.

Please let me know if you have a book i can borrow on transport management please
No sorry I don’t.
Definitely wouldn't get into this game. If a firm like knights of old go bust what hope is there for small firms starting out. Crazy to go into this imo
Not worth getting into transport at the moment. economy is in trouble and people are holding on their money.
Correct there is a global recession here at best and probably a financial crisis / crash .

Hi there, found the video very helpful thanksalot for the information i have a question how much can i earn on a rigid body tipper driving on behalf of tarmac or hiedelberg companies ?

Transport work for new operators is little slow this year. there is work on Amazon however pay rate is awful. Haulage Exchange is waste of money at the moment. If you have contract linedup then its worth to start you businerss

Depends on which brand and many other factors and if new or second hand. Look on autotrader or trucklocator

If you have a bad credit rating it might affect the finance or lease so I’d suggest to try upping your score so it’s better you sort it out now
@@AgnesMann how much capital would I need for the first 4-6 weeks starting off insurance fuel etc

I don’t know. Never counted that
So what profit after tax and everything on a good week ?
It will depend on your own costs, type of work, mileage done etc. also how busy it gets. You looking at around 3k profit on avarage but it can be zero, loss or even double that so it really is difficult to say.
