We live in a period where we can “forget” wars that literally happened a few years ago.
@ジョージ様 Disagree, people are just more accustomed to war nowadays because for the west it's a profession, there's no draft so when the US fights in Afghanistan there's almost zero impact on the average american civilian

it's the only platform with a very articulate information about reporting the real situation.. Keep up the good job..
That are real journalists, what they show on tv and media sites is half true or all false. All the world is under rule or Usa when is about sharing information to the world about some conflicts. Example ,i know a guy from Uganda and he is told me that dictator at that time is been more good things to the country the bed,but they portrait him only as evil. I guess similar is with all regimes since now ,not only in africa-people may live poor ,but is not like under occupation from usa dictature. Now they are more poor and has drugs and crimes, more corruption then ever.

I travelled through Sudan as a Canadian in 2020 and had a great experience, especially with culture. The only warnings at the time were don’t go near the border with South Sudan and stay away from Darfur. Outside of that, Sudan was safe enough to walk around alone at night, something you can’t say about a lot of places. This is a great documentary, thank you for the insight

This is the same thing we in the southern Sudan went through till we got our independence, I wish international bodies help Darfur and other non -arabs get independent
I hope the country gets better, but I don't believe it's independence, it's more like division and division brings no good , I don't think the situation in south Sudan got any better after the division, also Iam not an Arab and Iam a Nubian from north sudan where we have no electricity in the Nubian regions we have no way of communication, the government wanted to flood our lands because our lands all full of ancient Nubian kushitic sites which reveal the true history of the land , not the Arabian idotisim , there are some Arabs in the north believe me we don't like them, unfortunately they are controlling sudan, and forcing the Arabian identity over the country, but i don't think division is the answer, I believe we all should unite under new institution , under new label all together, The great kushite African republic great in size and might great in economical power, i have all the love for my south Sudanese brother's.

Vice really takes a deep dive and the stories they come up with are those mostly shunned or ignored by mainstream media...but it now feels vice takes an unsettling amount of initiative to portray stories a particular way, which may be based on narratives of racism and religion. This video is profound and shows the cost of war on the people of a community. It is difficult for me to accept all their findings on face value, but deeper concepts behind this crisis are much clearer now.

Almost positive that guy with the discolored skin has Vitiligo. Probably not caused by chemical burns.
thought it was weird too that only his family has it if chemical
It is definitely vitiligo. There is no apparent scarring or damage to the skin beyond the change in pigmentation. I have no doubt that the Sudanese government is doing what that man said they are doing but I specifically find his story suspect or at least the way vice portrayed it.
Its possible that the chemical triggered the dormat Vitiligo to act up on his skin. Also lack of knowledge to is making him say that.

First of all, CS gas aka Tear Gas is non lethal, which is why it's used to deter people, the gas used in Sudan causes disease, death, and is also a war crime via the Geneva Convention. Second, in what world does it comfort you that the world uses chemical weapons?
