Really useful, i did my service thanks to this. There also is another oil filter, at min. 3:44 imediately in the left of the EIN (engine identification number), that big cap. Remove that cap, o-ring, spring and strainer. Clean them.
I can't recall if I asked you this in the FB group, but the manual says to check the oil level when it's on the kick stand. There are so many different thoughts on if it should be done that way, or the way you did it. Great video though Scottie!
@@flippinfreak they need to fix that in the manual than. Plus, the manual says it won't take 2 Quarts but it definitely takes 2 Quarts. Probably even a little more
That's the secondary oil filter changed. But what about the Primary strainer it would pay to check it as well especially on the first and second services.
Any idea on a check engine lamp being turned on after a ride on wet surface or rain? Went to dealer and they said it is nothing to worry about. Something about exaust they said
I have a 2023 300 ss. I noticed a noise like heat shield rattle in weather below 60 degrees. Wandering if you have experienced this?. Only happens between 4500 and 5500 rpms.
@@perrythesylvester dealership tech thinks it's something internal in exhaust. Will let you know if they replace it or not. As of now they can't figure it out . But feel it's nothing engine wise.
Thanks a ton! Just finished my first change with zero mechanical experience, thanks for walking a noob through it! 😅

Just purchased my 300nk.... would it help to have a gold standard magnetic oil bolt too?
Great instruction video. Thank you.
Will you do a how-to video on the rear fender delete?
Subscribed nice upload 🤙🏽
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Man you Rev that thing like it's a honda motor. Hope it holds up...
I got a 300SS last month too.🎉
Redline is 9,500 and I’ve revved it to 10K on occasion. Never skips a beat!

Every bike should be checked straight up and down. If you measure on the kickstand you’re going to be a half quart low or so.

Hi buddy, could you tell me about the fall sliders that you have in the sides? Thank you! Great video BTW

I notice something similar on my 2023 300nk. Coming from front/bottom area of the bike.
