    I have a broken seal on my acrylic tumbler, And water has gotten in between the two layers. Needless to say, I was delighted to see that Alisha had made a video of how to repair tumblers with broken seals. However, I found her video to be less than helpful. Rather than getting right down to the solution, she had to add a LONG DRAWN OUT version of the personal
    story of her shipment of tumblers possibly being defective, and freaking out over what she was going to do about it. It was way too much information, when she could’ve given the shorter version. Between that and her young daughter interrupting her CONSTANTLY and waving a dollar bill In front of the camera so it blocked the view of Alisha showing how to repair the tumbler, it was no help at all. Don’t get me wrong, but if you want to show off your kid, do a video of your kid. There is a time and place for every topic. This is your business, and people count on you for your knowledge and expertise.

    Thanks for the video!! New to this type of craft, so I will be tuning in! You guys made me giggle, my kids are always in my space. I believe my greatest works comes when I have the sounds of bouncing balls, toddlers running, puppies barking, random laughing and crying etc. 😆❤️

    Thank you for this video! it’s starting to feel to me that I must absolutely sell snow globe tumblers with the entire cup coated in resin just so that I could have a safer business practice than just creating the snow globe Tumblr… Would you say that is the case?
    I was already considering that the only way to really seal any vinyl applications on the tumblers was to coat the entire thing in resin, as I saw a woman do in a previous RUclips video, but I really do not want to get into having the resin fumes anywhere near my home or my child so I was looking into just doing pretty snow globe tumblers with may be minimal personalization such as the bling-out top.
    Also by any chance are the Starbucks Tumblr‘s really made that much better that people are willing to go purchase tumblers and $15 just to make all Starbucks tumblers?
    Because I feel like I see a lot of shops selling only the Starbucks tumblers but I just can’t fathom starting a Tumblr business with such a high cost of making a product or having to go hunt down Starbucks tumblers at different locations… And obviously buying from Amazon is usually going to change in pricing based on supply and demand so you can’t keep that base cost consistent because the Tumblr cost could go up and down.
    And then it seems like people who order non-branded tumblers from Amazon are constantly complaining about leaking tumblers… And I’m actually starting to think that all the shaking that people are doing with these tumblers is creating a pressure inside that’s actually pushing the solution out into every little nook and cranny and why these tumblers seem to leak very easily… Which then makes me think that maybe just doing dry tumblers are just going to be the most cost-effective and keep it as a niche.
    Or… putting a massive disclaimer on every product listing that these tumblers are not meant to be shaken up to such extremes and not the internal pressure of the liquid mixture could cause them to actually keep liquid and or maybe even cause it to crack the moment it ends up being dropped because the pressure of being built up inside from so much movement.
    Also I’ve been watching so many videos trying to figure out why people are complaining about Tumblr‘s leaking and it seems that there can be many different opportunities that it’s leaking from Tumblr… There’s leaking from the bottom, leaking from the actual lid itself, and then there’s the rim of the cup…
    And I’m wondering when people are talking about a leaking Tumblr or complaining about leaking tumblers on Amazon reviews… They never specify exactly where the leaking is coming from.
    So far your videos the only one I have found that talks about the tumblers leaking from the top specifically the rim…, not the lid.

      I've never worked on a "Starbucks" snow globe tumbler. There are many different vendors for the clear acrylic tumblers. I suggest reading reviews and just ordering a couple from each vendor. Also, The way cups are manufactured changes over time so it is worth reading current as well as older reviews for comparison. Unfortunately, when you are trying to be successful at any business, you may endure loss before the gain.

      Well my co worker still has her cups more than a year later with no leaks so I would say it's pretty effective. Also I made several of these cups for her. Not just one, all using the same method.

    Does epoxy mess up the thread that screws the lid on?

    • @ItsACraftThingAlishaVirgillo
      @ItsACraftThingAlishaVirgillo  2 года назад

      Do not put the epoxy on the threads. Only to the top of the cup just above the clear vinyl line. If you get epoxy in the treads it will stop the lid from screwing on correctly.
