Thank you so much for this video!!! I have been searching for straight-to-the-point sealing vids and yours was the best. I can totally see myself finally finishing all my tumbler projects that I've been afraid to seal up!! 8 tumblers left unsealed 😂 now I can finish
Try to get the area that you are sealing extremely clean. Try using one of the furniture bumpers and then I put a gorilla glue dot on top of that and then the UV resin. That is my most successful way of sealing. Sometimes they don't seal great when you are using oil. The oil contamination makes sealing more of a challenge
I started on my first snowglobe tumbler {drilled the 1st hole} and have been watching videos on them like crazy....I saw someone suggest using Flex Seal, glue version or tape version... Have you tried either of those methods? If so, what do you think about them. I ask because I already bought some and wanted to get more input before I commit...
I have a video coming out soon with some other options Including gorrila glue tape which is, I think, similar to flex seal and it works really great! So definitely go for it!
I find the oil filled ones much more difficult to seal. I will give the gorilla glue a try next. So many people are allergic to resin and that seems to be the go to for sealing. I can tell you the hot glue, although not as pretty seals almost anything lol!
I do 5/8" if I'm using glitter or the largest end in the hot tool kit. If not using glitter I do the medium hot tool end. I just want to be able to just get the end tip of my squeeze bottle into the hole.
No, as long as you get a good clean seal they should not leak. The oil filled ones are a bit more of a challenge as they can't have any oil contamination. The oil stops you from getting a good seal so be sure to get them spotless of oil.
@@weirdandwonderful thank you so much. The oil ones are the ones i am having problems with sealing tbh but thank you for your advice i appreciate that.
What are you putting on top of the glue dot? The glue dot alone won't seal it. It just stops what ever medium you are using from going down inside the hole.
It might be the kind of cup you're using. Some of them are not sealed properly from the factory. I unfortunately haven't found a good way to fix that without making lumps. Try using some uv resin on it. Unfortunately it's not very pretty but the only solution I've found. Try a different cup brand
If you crack/break the cup then you have a mess to clean up and a ruined cup.. ask me how I know haha! I am still cleaning up glitter out of the tile grout.

So glad it helped! Don't be afraid! If you mess things up it can be removed and then just try again! ❤❤
This was super helpful to a beginner like myself! glad to find your channel. thanks for sharing!
So glad it helped!
So cool and different how did you come up with this idea? I love it ❤️

Would you still seal it come predrilled with the stoppers ?
Thank you for showing us how to seal!
New subbie!

Hi , what do I do when my uv resin does not get hard. I think my light is not strong enough. Not sure ! Thank u for the tip on how to seal!💜
Thaaaank you..this was awesome..I wish I found it sooner..
Thanks! Hope it helps!
Hello may be a stupid question but when I try and seal glycerin seems to seep out any advice?

Don’t forget to move your UV resin bottle away from the curing light! Or your resin will cure in the bottle.
Where do you get your tumblers
The ones I have been using in the videos are from Michaels but I do have some leaking issues with some of them right when I fill them up.
After you mix in the glitter on the bottom to cover up the seal, will the resin still self leve with glitter in it after stiring up?
Yes it still self levels. I don't add large amount of glitter though so it still flows

@@weirdandwonderful, thank you I will watch for that video
This is great 😊
Hope it helps!
The gold cup? Is that gold glitter or gold foil... i was wondering if we can use gold foil in them
Thank you for making this
Hope it helps!
Thank You- Im allergic to everything but i have been using Gorillla glue epoxy- some seal some dont thanks

The intro was v funny!
What size do you drill/melt the hole in the tumbler?
I do 5/8" if I'm using glitter or the largest end in the hot tool kit. If not using glitter I do the medium hot tool end. I just want to be able to just get the end tip of my squeeze bottle into the hole.
How about epoxy resin
I Prefer to use UV resin as it sets up faster and you don't risk it migrating into the cup.
first time here and the very beginning of this video i was like yup i like her subscribe.....
Lol, thank you! The outakes of filming that were pretty hilarious 😆
Can you used double sided tape to seal?
I would think that would work fine 🙂
I had a leak but did epoxy. I will try uv resin and pray it doesnt leak
Get it clean as you can. Any contamination and it can leak.
hi did they leak?

How do u make the one with the white inside
The one with the white drips?

What type of resin are you using?
A uv resin. Any brand is fine just check the reviews and make sure it actually cures properly.
With the hot glue gun, it doesn’t peel off?
I have tired to peel them off and couldn't even get it off with a scraper.
Could you just use epoxy on the bottom to seal along with the gorilla dots?
Yes you can definitely do that!
Does the blue dot only work with UV resin? My cup is leaking and I can’t figure out why
What are you putting on top of the glue dot? The glue dot alone won't seal it. It just stops what ever medium you are using from going down inside the hole.
No leaks in those suckers now.
Hopefully not lol!
The very top of my tumblers are leaking and i dont know how to stop it
Omg mine too!! ☹️☹️

@@weirdandwonderful thank you !! I tried that last night and it worked. It’s not great, but at least it helps seal the leaking!
yes thats how i be when i edit my videos
By the way thanks for making this video ❤❤❤❤

What if u drop the cup by mistake?????
