I love the glitter choices - so pretty! I've been making a lot of these tumblers the past month - my favorite solution is a combination of distilled water, glycerin and magic solution. Adding the magic solution helps to suspend the glitter so you don't have to shake it so much. Also, plastic squeeze bottles to insert the solution is a must. You can pick up condiment bottles at DT. Lastly, I use a small funnel to insert my glitter - it's so much faster and less waste and yes, stay away from the fine glitter due to the clumping. I also mix the glitter with the resin before applying to the bottom. I feel that it helps to distribute the glitter better and only takes one coat. Hope this helps.
Thank you so much for all the great tips!!! Is the magic solution the same thing as Elmer’s glue? I tried another tumbler after this video with Elmer’s glue and water and liked the result a lot better! It definitely flowed easier and I liked that it didn’t get all oily from the glycerin. What have you been using to seal the tumblers? I’ve been using vinyl sheets still because I can’t seem to find another way that works lol!
@@KaylasCricutCreations I've been using the Gorilla Glue strips to seal mine and have not had any issues whatsoever. I go over them with the UV resin mixed with matching glitter. The Magic Liquid is different from the Elmer's Glue. It's also clear and a bit thicker than the glycerin but is a bit more pricier which is why I don't use it full strength or even 50/50 with the distilled water. My next attempt is to try the glycerin/baby oil method mixed with mica powder to create a lava lamp effect. I'm a huge True Crime fan so I want to try and imitate blood droplets. Those sell pretty quick at the market I participate in.
I'm getting air bubbles 😢 tried glycerin w distelled water and another cup tried contact lense solution and another baby oil the last 2 straight no mixture so far baby oil has small.ait bubble the other a mess how do I elimate air bubbles
To get rid of air bubbles, overfill the top and then use a syringe with a niddle at the end and put it in the air bubble to suck up the air and the solution on the tip will go in 😊
I use fine glitter on my cups all the time, what I do to avoid those clumps is to shake the glitter in the cup before you add the mixture and then again after the mixture.
Great video. One thing that may help and not hard to make. Have your husband make you a box out of plywood, Just 3 sided and no top. Where you can put your tumbler in it and set the UV light on top so you don’t have to hold the light.
I love these!!! They are so pretty! Can you use ice cube in the drinks without affecting the contents of the glitter mixture? Thanknyou!! 💖. P. S. About the air bubble…couldn’t you use the syringe to suck it out? Thanks!
Girl, invest in a little funnel for that glitter! Lol. Your tumblers are like all of your other projects, beautiful! Edit ~ you may be able to get rid of bubbles with a pin by directing the bubble to the hoke and poking it? Or use the syringe in reverse and draw the air back out?
Thank you!! I bought a couple more tumblers to test out. I bought a needle tip bottle and I think it'll help get rid of the bubbles. Trying to draw the air back out is a really good idea too! I'm hoping to post an updated video soon after I try out a few different things! :)
@@KaylasCricutCreations funnel won’t help with chunky glitter since the space from the hole to the inside, it doesn’t allow for a smooth flowing process & you need to still bang the side to get the glitter to move off the inside landing. I also wouldn’t suggest the needle nose bottles as the needle opening is super small. You will drive yourself crazy trying to fill it that way. I would suggest getting some blunt syringes off Amazon, they work a lot faster and they are long enough you can get them in the hole and point them down the side somewhat! As far as the bottom glitter, I would suggest not using chunky next time and just try to find a fine glitter that’s relatively close to what you’ve put inside, as it has much better coverage and I would mix it together with your UV resin in a small medicine cup, and then kind of just pour it on so that way you’re not needing to put several layers of UV resin on the bottom. Also, you can put just a UV resin around & in the hole and curate that way as your barrier. Then you can do the glitter mix & UV resin over the top of that! I hope this helps.
Ok so I found that if you take just a drop of dawn soap small amount in the liquid. Mix your fine glitter in the solution. It un clumps it and just spray the hole with alcohol and pop bubbles as it de gasses
Came to see why my glitter was so chunky 😩 it's fine. I have already dumped it once. Looks like I'm dumping it again. Tips on clearing it out? I didn't get it no where near as clear as you did.
I use glycerin, water, and magic liquid. I wouldn’t fill them all the way and that air bubble helps if people take them out in the summer. They can actually crack/break if they’re too full then exposed to heat 😅
I was watching your video while I was making my very first snow globe tumbler. The only real question I have is how do you know how much glitter to put in? How do you know if you have too much, or too little?
Thanks for the video! You should be able to get the air bubble out by putting the syringe in the hole and pulling back on it to suck the air out. Easy peesie.
Hi! I am looking for a cricut and was wondering what you would recommend? I love this video and am looking forward to making these tumblers when I get my cricut!
HI! It kind of depends on what type of projects you want to make. I usually recommend the Cricut Explore Air 2 or the Cricut Maker machine. The newest machines out there are the 3 they have a few added features but to me not worth the price. I have a video I put together showing what the different machine do. You can watch it here: ruclips.net/video/BDd_HMy2ax8/видео.html Also Cricut has a chart on their website showing what each machine does: cricut.pxf.io/vNzjay Hopefully that helps! :)
I just purchased 2 of these looking here on RUclips contact solution would be best, since this will be my first time imma go to my local Michael's or Joanna's to get the other stuff I have a cricut I don't use
These are beautiful! You were very good about explaining all the steps and different ways to go about making it better. Can the tumblers go in the dishwasher? .
Hi! It’s a RUclips bot, sadly :( I have reported and removed every one from the comments. It’s frustrating when it’s replying back to people’s comments! Thank you letting me know!
Let me know if you want to see me make one with a mixture of clear glue & water. ✨
Yes pls
Yes!
That would be great!
I haven't tried it with glue yet - would love to see your version for sure!
Yes please 😊

I have a squeeze bottle and funnel. Neither of which fit in the hole of these tumblers.

I’m doing these for Christmas gifts and I’m going to start on them tonight
I’m excited to do them ❤

I saw another video where they used clear Flex Seal tape before the UV resin. It's designed to stop liquid leaks, it's genius!

Thank you so much Kayla. These options are so pretty and your patience and explanations are amazing.
Thank you! That's so nice to hear! It definitely took me some trial and error to figure out what works but I just love how they turn out!
Love the colors of glitter. I usually mix the uv resin with the glitter for the bottom because it gives better coverage
Great tip! Thank you!!
It’s a static thing with the film on glitter I think but just a bit of Dawn with un clump it then finsh off with alcohol like you were doing.
So the tumblers I got come with little rubber bumpers that fit directly in the hole. I just resin over those…I’ve personally never seen the tape thing
Can you tell me where can I get cups like those ?
Pretty tumblers... you can use clear tape like packing tape to seal your hole also and it won't show up under your uv resin.
Thank you so much!!
These are beautiful! I def woulda used a little funnel though 😂 I was try this out!! Thanks for showing us your trial and error 🫶🏼
The tumblers are so pretty 🥰

@@lisamariedesignboutiquewow!! Thank you so much for the helpful info!!!! I’m making some more out this weekend and can’t wait to try your tips.
At the end with the hole and air bubbles. Poke a straw down in and tilt around:) kinda got to chase them but it works

Thank you so much for this video I am new to youre channel but this is super helpful 😊
I love your videos ma please I am a starter where can I get all these cups and the glitters and how do I start
How did you remove glitter from the glass tumblers? I have glitter shapes stuck in the top rim.
I was watching your video while I was making my very first snow globe tumbler.

Do ever need to add resin on top of the stickers?
Does it matter what type of distilled water you use?
Reañly cool. Are they dishwasher safe?
Do you place a little layer of resin over the vinyl?
Can you use sublimation on these tumblers?
How much would you say it cost to buy all the materials? I want to make some for a birthday party
Me encanta Los ame a Los dos ❤👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Subscribe from watching this video, thank you so much for your video. This was very helpful and unique
are these tumblers for hot and cold drinks or cold drinks only?
Would an ultrasonic cleaner seperate the clumps?
An ink needle works very well getting those pesky bubbles out

What is the solution made out of?
These are beautiful! You were very good about explaining all the steps and different ways to go about making it better. Can the tumblers go in the dishwasher? .
Thank you so much!! They aren’t dishwasher safe. You’ll want to hand wash them.
What size cups are those?
So no epoxy finish on glass?
What are the measurements for the glitter
Bonjour ,ou trouvez ces verres svp?
Where do you get the glass cups from?

Yo kero 2 keder esta espectacular😮😮🎉
Why is my glitter getting stuck at bottom of tumbler
Are you using a ballpoint pen to weed?
It’s called a pin pen tool. It is so great for weeding! I bought it on Amazon. Here’s the link for it I’d you’re interested: amzn.to/3JaxSaL
@@KaylasCricutCreations thank you!
Using a funnel to guide the glitter in would have been much better
Subscribing bc we have the same name lol😅
If you use a mini funnel, you wouldn't waste any glitter...
Try glue sticks
