      There's so much filler motivation about exercise and fitness today but something that's forever blown my mind is the BDNF factor in daily ritualistic workouts. Brain derived neurotropic factor, a phenomenon of deep optimization and repair in our overall wellbeing, the best of the best, and it's triggered best by more bodily motion in our days. Essentially when in doubt, move about - when in decline, motion over mind. From here, the journaling, the meditation, the scratching surface of daily personal structure habits that have at-least some level of passion to them as well. When there's deep focus and learning something that makes us not just feel good but great most of the time, that's pretty suspect of a passion, there's something obsessive about a passion that also involves personal expression from the heart or soul, feels more real than the rest. Today we have such an observer world with great mediocrity in the expression mediums (TikTok) but really honing something deep that requires months and perhaps years of gradual growth and engagement is certainly going to tap into some life legacy, a long-term ingredient for wellbeing done more personal. A lot of it takes faith in exploring the motions of the passions too - there will be a lot of fog but it slowly clears as we engage gradually over lengthy periods of time.

    Remember who you were before all the things happened to you. Find out who little you was. At 8,9,10. Whenever the world crushed you, go back to just before that happened and ask them what they wanted. And what made them happy. And chase what they tell you. I promise you'll find happiness.

      But I think there are still moments/times you can think back on to get to such a state. It can be when you were older. It doesn't have to be early childhood

    TL;DR: How to get unstuck: (from paycheck to paycheck / unfulfilling life)
    1. Think about what excited you when we’re young
    2. Start moving in that direction
    3. Think about what you need to learn/know to move in that direction and learn that nights & weekends
    4. Think about what part time entry-level job or side hustle/project would move you in that direction. Research it and start doing it nights and/or weekends (side hustle)
    5. Do this until you can go full time in that direction.
    6. Don’t forget to save money as always. Worst case, you fall back on the shitty job and try again.

    It's great advice. In my 20s I was stuck in a job that I hated and could imagine doing for another day much less 30 more years. I had gotten myself in trouble with the law. I had a mortgage that I needed to pay which restricted how many risks I could take. eventually I made a plan, got accepted into grad school in a field that excited me. I sold my house, got a part time job and went to grad school. I was exhilarated by the fact that I had changed my path and used this energy to power through the two years of working and studying. Then I got the dream job overseas that I wanted and found the woman I had been looking for. All this to say, yes, it can be scary but you can find your path.

  • @christinehallfeldt4280
    @christinehallfeldt4280 Месяц назад +2

    So true. I realised the only thing worse than the fear of being a failure is realising you can change it but you just don't want too because it seems so impossibly hard. I was lost and on loop for a long time lost in what was and what I could not change. Personality type test helped me immensely and led me down this path of actual change not just hoping it... I turned out to be an infp personality type and though I heard people can be mistyped the similarities of thought patterns and strengths and weaknesses was too coincidental for me to ignore. Sometimes we have to be OK with not being OK and realise once we are OK with being in our own presence do we finally realise the power within to affect the world around. 😊😊😊😊

    5:24 boom, there we go. I can wholly agree on this - it's part of the deep fascination with nostalgia at times because of a deeper passion we have in our earlier years and it can be engaged in the present with our current skills now, hone the existing and new skills in the passion direction. Any new skills that we aspire and have had that burning fanatical desire for but just felt afraid, explore em - technical, creative - expressive of something we wanted to be, never too late, we're alive and thrive from doing the bold route.

Birdhouses, bracelets, baked goods, books...Photographs, paintings, songs, sculpture....Produce something for someone else...give it away...give, give, give....And wait for the feedback...pay attention to the process...pay attention to how it effects you on all the different levels...When you produce something for others good things happen....put yourself in a position to help good things to happen.

When that happens it’s really demotivating and depressing. Risk evaluation is critical, but sometimes we just get unlucky.

      Try doing doordash or other food delivery and see how you like that. It is of course not the same but it has similarities.. being alone in a vehicle, driving around. I think the lack of social interaction and lack of movement is hard for most people. I considered being a trucker but after doing food delivery for a couple years I realized I couldn't do it.
      Also, it's ok not to know what you want to do at 20. Being 20 to 30 is about figuring out what you like and what you don't like, and what youre good at, the most important thing is that you try new things, take risks, do things you're afraid of, and reflect.
      You may have a dream of doing your own thing and not having a normal job. Working for someone else is just doing things they don't want to do anyway. Everything can be broken down into achievable goals.
