This is the first plamt I bought. It's still kicking and I've got it down to a science when it needs watered and such. I also spray the air around it along with my air plants and mccolleys finale philodendron. I swear there's new growth every single day. So many tiny pink baby leaves. I've struggled with it at first and I thought it was done for a couple times because it needs to be moist. If it's gets thirsty you'll know about it.
Such anecdotes help the garden community. Thanks ☺️
I laughed SO loudly when you callled her a drama queen!! It's TRUE🤣🤣🤣 Polka is sooooo dramatic.
😁
Love your comments about being mindfull if the plant is a "danger" to your area. Bravissimo!
Thanks 😊
Very well done video. Lots of information and thank you for the reminder to be responsible plant parents.
Ur welcome Jade
I just got this for my daughter as a houseplant. Thank you for the great info!

Hi from down under. This is a wonderful comprehensive video. Thank you!
Thank u ☺️
I just added a few of these to my indoor collection I’m so excited 😄
Yeyyy
i live in the U.S. very hot n humid it was getting leggy so I trimmed it. I hope this plant will do well on my patio table. It was a valentines gift :)
Great
I needed some to fill out space and they are making tons of new shoots at the base, I was hoping to find this info. Great job, the other videos are nothing more than somebody reading a description.
🥰
Loved what you said at the end specially !
🤗
Very beautiful collection and a lovely garden in plush surroundings.
Great video 💞👌

Great video! Short, on pont and very informative :)

Thank you for that honest and concise video my friend.
You're welcome
Thank you so very much, what a great video!!!💗💗💗
Pleasure
I'm growing these from seeds right now, it's been around 3 weeks and the 2 green leaves that originally sprouted, have now become 4 leaves, the two newest leaves have the polka dot colors but are tiny,I may have planted to many seeds because I have around 50+ sprouts
Really nice 👌 👍
There are seeds? Where did you get them at? Would love to try and grow some. Their so beautiful
thanks for informative content
I managed to keep them alive in Pennsylvania!!! Mine are thriving in winters!! It’s a big success. They look too pretty
Wow 👌
Thank you, this was a very helpful and interesting video! 🙂
Thank you
Thanks for your honest advise..i like to find one in my local garden in my place..
All d best

@@Urbanscapegardening 👍
very helpful, thank you!
😊
Thanks, that was excellent info...
Thanks ⚡️
Very informative. Thank you.
Welcome
I repotted mine the day I got it, a month ago and it has already overgrown it’s pot. However it started blooming so I can’t really trim it at the moment. I had to deal with moth eggs in it, which was kinda weird given it stays inside at all times. Nevertheless it’s a gorgeous plant and not that many people talk about it.
The fact that it's thriving is real good news
Thank you for the information ..
Ur welcome
Much appreciated for all of this wonderful information.
Ur welcome
Good video sir .yesterday i purchase this plant.
😊
❤
Great little houseplants. No chance of them taking over an area when kept indoors.
Thanks for the info filled presentation 👍. I have a similar plant but with bigger leaves. Do you think it’s the same or a different variety?
These generally have small.leaves
Awesome!
Thanks
@@Urbanscapegardening it's my pleasure.
Tip for mealy bugs......I had a pothos that had them and kept coming back no matter what I did. I finally looked under the rim of the pot and they were hiding!! I hate mealy bugs!! LOL
Haha ya crazy survivor bunch they are

Mine's all leaves have fallen off except the one at top
My hibiscus plant has mealy bugs all over the leaves and Dahlia plant has gotten a leaf minor. Other plants are also now infested with leaf minor I heard neem oil works good. I don't find chemical pesticides safe. I wanted to dilute the neem oil to increase the quantity of pesticide but I don't know what to dilute it with could you please help in this regard?
U must watch my latest neem oil video
Thanks- very concise and yet info packed video...one question - What do you mean by invasive...didn’t get it...if ur growing in a pot how will it impact anything...
Thanks...so the plant seeds...if u live in a highland area. The seeds travel and can invade forest vegetation...so depending on where u are from u can grow this plant
Exactly the question I was going to ask. Thanks for asking this haha- now I know that my little pink polka cant do any harm sitting at home with me in Canada :)
Super
Your videos are well explained .. Thank you so much...
Recently I bought this plant along with snowbush or Hawaiian but didn't know how to take care of these.. After watching your videos very much clear 😍
Is this one a creeper ???
Can it climb like money plant ??
Thanks ☺️ no this is a shruby plant
@@Urbanscapegardening oh ok . So when I can do pruning for this as when it stops blooming ??
Today itself I saw couple of flowers on this plant & that was complete surprise for me😊
Yes u could do that after blooming
@@Urbanscapegardening ok Thank you so much...
If possible can you make a video on Pelargonium Inquinans.. it's not growing in a healthy way..
i have a hypoestes plant seedling but it seems that the leaves elongate instead of having a round shape
Yes that's it's natural tendency u have to prune
i like the channel please could you do a video on diffenbachia and dragon plant and ferns thank you
Surely
Loved the presentation ! Just bought 2 Polka dots home... this plants is somewhat similar to a Coleus; when flowering starts in Coleus I generally snip them ; should the same be done in case of Polka Dots ?
Yes the blooms can be snipped off
@@Urbanscapegardening Thank you 😊
I too have this plant but hardly there r those pink spots in it.. it's not vibrant instead it's green mostly... I have kept in bright light conditions only... It bloomed... I loved those pink spots on the leaves but not much with my plant...what to do..?
Prune it once it finishes blooming and new flushes may have the coloration. Bright sunny location west or south works
Hi Thanks for fantastic information. My polka dot plant has tiny leaves What should I do ?
Brighter light please
Mine has very bright pink leaves but it’s still leggy. It get morning sun only
Ok 👌
Mine was doing so well, now it seems to be thinning out. I live in Central California
It's under stress for something that went wrong either light exposure over watering
Very pretty USB- invasive or non- invadive🙂
Haha thanks ☺️
Hey, great video. I don't get a lot of sunlight because it's winter here in Canada 😐. However I have invested in a grow light. How many hours should I approximately expose this plant to the grow light?
3 hours or so of grow light? I would recommend u ask the nursery folks there. They would be able to help u better'. In normal conditions. The plant likes atleast 5 hours of indirect sunlight
@@Urbanscapegardening thanks!
Np
The pink part in my plant is very less, I gave them cow dung fertilizer last month and I keep it in full sun. Can you please tell me where I'm going wrong?
Keep it in part shade pls
I have this plant but it never bloomed. Growing well though
It's ok the leaves are beautiful too
I too have this plant but the colors of the leaf are fading off and not very bright. I have placed it under shade with bright light but no sunlight. Reason for not placing outside is bcoz of the winter dew and frost. Please can u suggest what should I do?
Since u have frost keeping it indoors is a good thing. Keep it out when summer sets in
That's what I did. In the winter I brought it inside and it survived. It didn't grow at all or get any bigger and it got leggy. However as soon as the super cold weather was gone I put it back outside and trimmed off the leggy parts. It has turned "pinker" and is already growing again. Leaves are getting bigger too.
Nice testimony 🙂
The tips of the leaves are curling up and turning brown, and the plant is shedding it's leaves. I have placed the plant in shade, but problem still continues. Please help.
It could be due to the full sun u place in let it recuperate...
I didn't know what it was called, so I didn't know how to grow them, I planted them in soil right under the sun and destroyed the plant. They look pathetic now. I repotted them into a pot now, will i be able to revive them now? They haven't died just looks skeletal. What should I do to get them back into it's beautiful form :(
Skeletal is ok if u don't see parched and dead leaves or stem
Sorry leggy was the word 😂 I just watched the whole video. So can I just prune and bring them back ?
Yep
Oh thanks, your video was just awesome!
Hehe thanks
I could only find cocopeat cake. Could you tell me how the cake is used? Can we use it directly after soaking it in water for sometime or should we dry the cocopeat in sun?
Not required soak and add...add little compost to enrich it
@@Urbanscapegardening Thank you for replying. I have never used cocopeat. I heard that wet cocopeat has high salt content and hence it should be sqeezed out of water and dried in sun and then added to sand and vermicompost. A youtuber was telling that wet cocopeat from a previously soaked water kills the plant. Is it true? Do you merely soak it in and when it enlarges add to soil mix? pls do reply.
I have never encountered such problems may be it could be the water and not the coco peat
@@Urbanscapegardening Which cocopeat do you buy? Could you please name the company?
Go for cocogarden or trsutbasket
Hey! I am new to the plant world. Need some tips on Chinese evergreen aka Aglaonema please help
Part sun
Don't overwater
My polaka dot green plant leaves fron edges getting dried please give solutions
Check if the watering is adequate
Can we plant white and pink polka dot plant together in one pot
Sure
Why my polka dot plant leaves are brown at the end ?
It's due to stress mostly due to inadequate watering or sunlight
Mine is facing issue of leaf curling ... It has tarnished the overall aesthetics of the plant....
I will have to see a pic ti see what's wrong
Ppl in my country would have this type of video except extended to 24 mins
Haha 😄
The leaves of my plant are curling and the plant is becoming leggy
The plant tends to become leggy u need to prune it and keep it in a bright spot....leaf curling could be due to a pest attack
i guess it is quite randomly asking but do anyone know a good site to stream newly released movies online ?
Do u have a video on how to prune and propogate this plant
No will do
Will it grow well in Kerala
Yes it can...
Can these be propped in water?
Yes not advisable
My pink splash is a giant bush, it does not look like his lol.
I have lots in my locality
Nice
please explain "invasive plant".
what happens
It could takeover the surrounding vegetation and can be tough to remove
@@Urbanscapegardening sadabhar and many other plants in our balcony are like that
thanks. very helpful video.
Is this normal that they are so hairy ???
Yes
Thank you! I have been trying to figure this out and can't find people talking about it!
I had these and the mealy's got them! 😭
Yes this is my second. Kill the mealys before they kill ur plant
I’m so glad we don’t have mealys where I live
Nooooo :(
More about invasive warnings than care.
Yes when others don't care someone has to no
