This is fantastic, am trying a few piles of leaves hear, 1 of 'em's my boss's rubber plant in leaf form I snuck out of his office, love plants & have mounds of 'em all over the place at home.
I grew Sanseverias 'snake plant'. Known as 'Mother-in-laws tongue' in the U.K. 2 years ago using water. Warning! They lose the variagation. They don't grow the same as the parent plant. Just all green. They're still fine looking plants in themselves though. If you want it to be like the parent plant, you have to divide it as new pups develop at the base of the plant. Also! I put it in compost once the roots had grown strong. You won't see new shoots until the following year. So be patient. I was also able to cut it into 4 slices from top to bottom after roots had formed along the bottom, giving me a number of thinner cuttings. (Make sure you have roots at the bottom of each slice). These can be put in compost in 'one' 4 inch (10cm) pot. Each grew as an individual plant. Then you put them into single pots as the new shoots appear. Experiment both methods for yourselves using 2 leaf spikes, and compare. It's fun....Don't throw it away if you see no shoots. It does take time.

Hi, happy new year! Yeah putting a hole on your glass vase is optional but I highly recommend it. This hole will serve as your limit when watering to prevent your plants from drowning. Also it is useful for flushing your leca balls to remove some old fertilizer and salts. And regarding with gnats, that is my reason also why I shifted most of my plants into LECA. Using of leca will prevent you from getting any insects at home.

Very informative video. Thanks for sharing. Kindly advice which grow light should be purchased in UAE. Or can we put them in the indirect bright light.??
You can put your plants near the window that can received indirect sunlight or buy a grow light. You can do also both to get your plants enough light. I usually buy my grow lights in banggood and desertcart. Now, I ordered barrina grow lights and they said it is very good grow light. You can try that too.
You don't need a grow light in UAE. I used to live in Turkey and indirect bright light was more than enough there :) Now I live in Poland, hardly see sun here, so bought a grow light :)
Wow! Quick question, did you add a rooting agent to the plants. I cant grow roots on my sanseveria and my magnolia cutting and it's been well over 2 months 🙂 I would love to know your secret 😉😃More than anything, I would love my magnolia tree cutting to show roots. Also, do I need to allow my cuttings to dry 5 days also for the other plants before placing them in water or just the sanseveria? 😄 Have an awesome day!
I just dried Sansevieria cutting because this plant is prone to rotting but other plants I just put in the water right away after cutting. So, growing the cuttings depends on your plant’s environment, it should be not too cold and there should always a light. Grow light is a big help. For this experiment I just added plain water. But after that when all roots are stable I started using nutrient solution.
Thank you so much for this detailed video 🌿 How long should the growing light process take ? Can I just use any purple colored led light? Sunny greatings from Turkey 🍀

Hola.
If you have a long leaf of a snake plant you can cut it into two pieces and root both pieces in water just as described above as long as you let the side going into water dry out.

Are you supposed to fill the jar completely with water or just partially? Thank you for the demonstration!
fill 2-3inches level from the bottom

i got a sakura tree cutting that i guessed and tried slicing the cut end layers off about a month ago then soaking in water. Leaves holding up it seems but no roots yet. Since watching your video just now I went out to my sakura tree and snipped another cutting with some newer growth and have since added to my jar of water, hoping to see how this cutting goes without removing the outer layers of the branch.
This was so relaxing to watch ❤
Love green nature plants...Appreciate your video😊Thanks for Sharing👍
Everything about this was soothing I want to do this soon.
I am on succulents st the monent and they are all looking so beautiful. I also have a very small collection of calediums n some greenary plants.
I kept these plants under grow light for 45 days to root. Better use a grow light with any color. Grow light intended for plants.
Thank you very much I like
This is new to me. I've always thought succulents couldn't have too much water.

wow amazing plants, but the way you do it is very amazing, thank you for sharing your video , nwo i know on how to plants like you do, watching here new friends
So can you just continue to let them grow in the water? Any ideas on how to make this a nice decor future in a home?
Thank you for sharing. Have a great day ❤
I have a green Spider plant (Chlorophytum) that has been growing for 4 years in a glass jar with rocks with only adding water to it and it grows just fine.
ruclips.net/video/pcUMPqvMSts/видео.html
do you change the water? how pls? thank u for your reply.
@@milagrosantonio556 I don't change water, just add it to the jar almost up to the plant. I changed the gravel where the plant was just a month ago. You must be very careful not to brake any roots when changing it. Also I give very mild liquid nutrition solution once a month.
@@milagrosantonio556 I change the water on my plants that I grow only using water. A few times a year I add a little bit of liquid plant food that is diluted in water.
Hola.
If you have a long leaf of a snake plant you can cut it into two pieces and root both pieces in water just as described above as long as you let the side going into water dry out.
Sharing nice idea thank u
Thank you for the great videos on how to propagate in water my friend
thank for the video.- Very interesant
Super thanku 🌹
Adorei!Parabéns!
I am so in love with growing plants in water...

I had a question, when I plant a jade flower, should I add mushrooms or something else in the water or is it just pure water?
Sorry but I did not tried that yet.
Gorgeous! 💚This is exactly what I always wanted to try. Question: Have you ever tried propagate the ZZ only from its leaves?
Thank you so much, oh yeah I still haven’t tried propagating zz plant from just leaf. I might do that too ☺️
Yes..it grows.. But literally tests ur patience... Takes too long to grow
@@ranjeetaranjan3930 Ojeee...I have just put some for propagation yesterday into the water :) Wish me luck! 😂
