I killed more deer with a Q2 than any other bow I’ve owned. That’s back when Mathews was “solo cam” and dampeners were revolutionary. Absolutely loved that bow,…wish I hadn’t traded it now.

Love this budget video! I shot a Q2 for almost 15 years and finally upgraded to the Phase 4 in April of this year. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles. It has a simple Trophy Ridge 5 pin sight & a whisker biscuit, but it gets the job done. I think people don't realize that you don't have to have the most expensive gear to be successful in the woods. Keep up the great work!

A great bow in its time. And you are right Chris, a person doesn't need a 2023 flagship bow to successfully bow hunt.

My dad shot a Q2 for over 10 years before handing the bow down to me. I am 17, the bow is probably at least as old as I am and is still reliable. I killed a deer with it last year.

The axle to axle on the Q2 is 34”.
I still have one! I don’t use it anymore, but I still can’t part with it-Too many memories and great hunts. First 8 point, first and only black bear, first turkey with a bow. I took more deer with that bow than any other I’ve owned, mainly because I used it longer than any other bow (2000-2013.) It was a good one!

You should find an older Bear, Golden Eagle or High Country that has an over draw system on it. We use to shoot dang near crossbow bolts out of them using aluminum arrows. Knowing how much you love shooting bows then you should be able to appreciate that set up to get speed back almost 30years ago.

Not sure what's up with these does but I shot a big slick a few evenings ago, 30yrds quartered away slightly, entered 2nd to last rib and exited point of the offside shoulder - double lung but same thing..200yrd track job. Had an old Martin Cheetah pro series then switched to an Outback. Absolutely loved it until someone wanted it more than me. Great job showing you don't need to break the bank with flagship bows to be successful. Keep up the budget doe hunts. Love it! 🥩

No, but he did have to track it over 200 yards. I had a learning experience when I shot a buck, back in the lungs, so I wouldn't destroy the meat on the shoulders using a .300 win mag. Had a 175 yard track job through some rough brush so I went back to shooting them in the shoulder and guess what, no more tracking.
