cad é mar atá tú a sheán, The Irish Government spend 100 million a year on the promotion of the Irish Language, but I don't know where they spend it, because there is very limited online resources worth talking about, your lessons are the best online by far, I think the future of the language relies on people like yourself. Go raibh maith agat
Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I’m a beginner using Duolingo...getting along fine but never realized that Tá and An bhfuil we’re part of the verb ‘to be’, for example. Your explanations hit the nail on the head Every Single Time. I teach EFL and use the same approach as you, so I understand everything you say. You are brilliant. You have consolidated and clarified everything I’ve learned in the past 6 months. I love the way you teach pronunciation as well. Please put more out there. You are a national Treasure!
Seán Mór your explanation of the verb 'be' is brilliant. The chopail in particular can be very confusing, especially when knowing when to use it as opposed to the verb "bí". Also knowing when and how to use it to classify as opposed to using it to identify is also confusing. You do a great job making all that clear, disentangling any confusion. You do an amazing job explaining it that makes a lot of sense. I have seen experienced teachers struggle explaining this, leaving the student often none the wiser. Well done you. Is tusa an muinteoir is fearr ar youtube (identification) nó Is muinteoir iontach tú (classification).
Brilliant. Just in time! I've started watching your videos over the past 2 weeks and they are the best out there. From Dublin and going back to re learn myself. Legend. Keep them up 👍
Well come back, we missed you. Very many thanks for the new video. Very useful indeed. I am a beginner, and I need to learn grammar,as it is important in order to learn a language. We hope to see you again with another interesting subject.
I'm learning Irish in an online class now as learning at the college here in London is suspended. Seán's videos help a lot. The only problem is, my course is teaching the Munster dialect and I'm learning Ulster with Seán!😀
'I'd be teaching every day' is subjunctive mood, but much like 'would', it might mean a habitual action, albeit in the past. So 'I be teaching' is understandable.
Maith an fear Sean. I am a Clareman who moved to Denmark 40 years ago. I am retired and have started learning Irish again. Your tips are magic keep them coming.
Why could I not have a teacher like Seán Mór back in my secondary school days. I've learned more in the past week here than I ever did in my entire time in school and more importantly , I am enjoying the lessons. Go raibh míle maith agat
I keep coming back to The 4 I ams. Seán you have made them so clear. I find them the most confusing things in Irish. Now, how does one say ‘She is an old friend of mine!!😊

Dia Duit Seán, thank you so much for your lessons. I am a native German Speaker and there are no classes to learn irish where i live. I have been trying to learn Irish through an App for almost a year with no great success. You teach so very well. Now the Word-Salad in my head makes sense. I did learn a lot of words with the app, but nothing beats a good teacher that knows exactly where you stumble.....
Go raibh mile maith agat, a Sean Mor! Ta se go deas tu a fheiceail aris ar an youtube! Is muinteoir iontach thu, agus bim buioch faoi do saothar! Is duine Gael-Mheiriceanach me, agus bim ag foghlaim Gaeilge (i m'aonar) le beagnach dha blian anuas. Is brea liom do chlara (videos). Go raibh maith agat aris.
Dont forget the fada very important........Lots of words in Irish have same spelling with the difference of the fada.. Example Éire- Ireland...Eire encumbered or burden. Mala -eyebrow, mála - bag..Lon- black bird lón_ lunch..Snamh - dislike snámh- swim, Doire- Derry dóire- burner, Briste- broken, bríste - pants or trousers, ban -woman, bán- white... That fada is very important
Please, please, PLEASE never go away again, the Irish speaking world needs more people like you
Yay, you're back...! Thank you so much for making these videos. I keep coming back to them again and again. Go raibh míle maith agat!
