- This video introduces the Past Tense of the Verb to Go in Irish, giving the basics of the verb, and a range of sample sentences of the verb in use in everyday conversation, as well as some basic pronunciation tips. While I'm a non-native speaker, I am fluent and am in regular contact with native speakers. I strongly recommend listening to native speakers.
So happy to see you back. Keep them coming!

Oh my... dear Sean!!! First, please forgive--- I am just learning these last few months, and answer in English....so NOW, I must tell you: ----> I am actúaly CRYING! Yes, crying real tears, for joy!! You are a great surprise to see on this cold sunny day! You see, your lessons and structured help, have been one of the BEST resources and help for me!! Your work, teaching, is ON each day in my house, and is bringing me closer to speak Irish (in our family line) after the first grandfathers, came here, from Donegal... 💖 ..Thank you, and thank God , that you are able to SHARE AGAIN 🤗🥰🙏🏼🏆grma🤗🥰 ... god bless you, and your family, and---your time, that you are able to give, here... amen!
Go raibh míle maith agat for that beautiful post! Keep on watching, and more importantly, saying the phrases out loud. I am determined to put many many videos up in this phase. So, fingers crossed I can stick to it this time.
@@anbocmor i will keep you in my prayers for your success in this new desire of yours... and, i will make sure to keep up my steps, in my irish-desire, too!!
Agus---- Go mbeannaí Dia teanga seo na nGael! (hope, that translated well 🤗🥰🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼💖)...
A very helpful video! Thank you. 😊
great to see a new video!
Haven't even watched the video yet but great to see you back
GRMA! I really need to correct my pronounciation and this was very helpful.
Grma a Sheain, taim an- sasta a fheiceal tu aris!
😊😊😊
Tá fáilte romhat ar ais a Sheáin .
Is múinteoir iontach thú.
A Sheáin, a left-field request, but for someone who has learnt prepositions from a book, but never heard them spoken (particularly in an Ulster dialect), hearing you pronounce them would be enormously helpful!
I will blend some of this into my tutorials when I can. I mightnt be the best person to focus on Donegal uniqueness in this area, although I am acutely aware of their use of Leofa vs Leo, Daofa vs Dóibh, Domh vs Dom, Thaire vs Thar etc. If I can put something together that I ferl is useful and watchable, I will. Thanks for request! I'd prefer if a native speaker was doing all this but I'm going to batter on regardless in the hope that I do more good than harm. 😁
@@anbocmor GRMA Seán. You do way more good than harm - you help make learning Gaeilge a joy!
Go raibh míle maith agat as teacht ar ais, a Sheáin. Is físeán iontach agus an-úsáideach é.
Go raibh míle maith agat as an bhfíseán. Tá áthas orm go bhfuil tú ar ais.
I've been doing this for three years, and my pronunciation is still so halting!
Tá súil agam i bhfad níos mó a chur ar fáil anois. Tá córas níos fusa agam lena dtaifeadadh agus lena n-ullmhú. Go raibh maith agat as do thacaíocht.
****************
I hope to put a lot more up now. I have a much more convenient system for preparing and recording them. Thankyou for your support.
