I noticed a wee error. I put the síneadh fada on the word ticéad on the wrong letter! This occurred a couple of times due to a cut and paste between the slides. Genuine slip of the finger on the keyboard. I have gone to confessions, and said three Hail Marys and four Our Fathers, and have received absolution. Given that it took so long to get the slides and video up, I'm going to have to take the public stoning, and I'm not going to correct it. It will be corrected in the notes, and is not vitally important to the video . :-)
I am a total beginner so a question. Your slide shows Ba mhaith for all the pronouns except he/leis. But at the bottom it show Ba mhaith leis an fhear. Which is correct mhaith leis or maith leis. Thanks
Please continue the clear understanding you provide for the structure of how words and sentences fit together properly. Go raibh maith agat. Ta an mhunteior go hiontach.
Please, please, please can you make more of these? Am from Belfast and spent every summer in Donegal. Have been trying to learn Irish on Duolingo and find the pronunciation and phrasing there super confusing. Then watched your first video and suddenly all made sense! Who knew someone who never actually studied Irish could have already absorbed the Ulster dialect! Would love to hear more Tyrone accent Irish explained so well!
Thankyou for your positive message, Jacqueline. I am embarrassed I have not followed up on these videos, but I have loads more in my head. I promise I will try again now to get a new one up each week. Let me know if there's any areas you'd like covered.
Dia shut Sean. What a great teacher. Iam learning lots, just words sound so different than here Galway, is their anyways around this? Oya Sean do you have notes or more info that your selling Thank you. Kieran.
Cá bhfuil cuid a dó? Mar shampla "Ba mhaith leis an fhear dul abhaile' / Ba mhaith leis na mná rud éigin a feiceáil.' (nílim cinnte go bhfuil ceart agam!). Also does Irish have a subjunctive case as in "Que-est ce que tu veux que je fasse?" / Qué quieres que te diga? (What do you expect me to do/What do you want me to say?) - there is no subjunctive in English in these cases so I have to use other languages, gabh mo leithscéail!
Dia Dhuit a Sheáin! I hope all is well with you. I just found your channel the other day and I've been learning so much from your videos. They are awesome! I know you put a lot of work into them and I really hope you keep going with them. Go raibh maith agat ón US.

Go raibh maith agat a Sean. An bhfuil tu go maith? Not sure thats quite right. There has been a thought maybe you can shed light on in your own way. Is it possible to have visible sentence replies to your questions or comments to see how to structure those to gain a 3 dimensional view of the language in full use? Le do thoil please give your thoughts when possible. Much appreciated!!

I love this series, please keep them coming. You are an amazing teacher - very thorough. Would it be possible to request a alphabet and numbers video?
I’ve learned more in three of your videos than a year of Duolingo and three months of Rosetta Stone...iontach!
The literal translations are so useful to this adult learner

In the vocative, "Seán" becomes "Sheáin". E.g "Go raibh maith agat a Sheáin". :)
