    I just took my X100F on a trip to Ireland and Scotland for the *express* purpose of shooting landscapes. I am disappointed when people who review this camera fail to properly emphasize its ability to literally match a X-T2 in image quality.
    Please stop pigeonholing this camera as a street photography one-trick-pony. It is ridiculously more versatile. It deserves more than to be treated as "niche". It is limited only in its lens's reach, not in its ability to perform in all genres.

    • @nikyazikov6853
      @nikyazikov6853 5 лет назад +1

      how did you find using the 100f for landscapes? I really like the look of it, and I principally shoot documentary photography, as well as street-style stuff etc. But I occasionally shoot other types of subjects, and so am a little apprehensive about using a fixed lens of this format. So I wonder what your experience of the 100f has been?

    So tempted to dive into the Fuji system (I’m a GH5 owner). I love the colours profiles the cameras offer and the awesome form factor. This review was a lot of fun and you guys are improving with each show. Very glad I remained subscribed.

      @TheCameraStoreTV  6 лет назад +3

      Thanks for sticking around, Scott. You have to give one a try to get a feel for it (if you haven't already) It's a different shooting experience. Where are you located? In Calgary, we offer a free, 3 day try before you buy test drive with Fuji cameras. But, I believe other dealers across North America do it too. Check with your local shop to see if they offer it.

    I have an xpro2 and xt2 (And the 23 f2) but picked up a used x100s for a recent trip to Canada. I'm not going to lie: the built in flash, ND filter, and high sync speed are invaluable and major advantages for the x100 line.

    Great episode, I liked the inclusion of Ron. Great to see that Dave still has his Hexar, he probably mastered all the button combos on that thing. Just a word about Ron's short Q&A session - you can really notice how naturally you switched from the Ev asks a question - Ron answers format and instead started a regular conversation without worrying about interrupting someone. Keep it up!

    As a Fuji XPro1 and an XE1 owner I wouldn't want the XE-3..the reason..like the XE-1 you can't replace the eyecup with an off brand and in high light it is awful...On my Ppro1 have a Nikon F2 eyecup...(really good) .I also think the joystick would be nice but I want a touch pad too..so to me ...an upgrades will be the XPro 2..as for the 23mm F2...I was torn between that and the 1.4 and I just decided to buy the F2..and I absolutely love that lens...I think I made the right choice...

    Both are great!
    But for me personally I can never get used to the dials on Fuji bodies. The fact that I need to reposition my entire hand when I want to change the exposure dial is a pain as I shoot manual. The dial is just not in thumb's reach and the fact that you still need the smaller dial (which is actually in thumb's reach) to make smaller adjustments seems counter intuitive to me.
    And it's a shame, I love the look of these cameras and they produce wonderful images as well.

    Nice comparison between the two, and I like how balanced it was!
    I always did wonder... The X100F, does the EVF have any issues if you're wearing polarized sunglasses? Same question for the X-E3.
    Yes, I know, most will commonly say "don't wear polarized sunglasses, don't wear sunglasses" but being photosensitive (aka light sensitivity) I pretty much lives with prescription sunglasses on when out and about during the day, hence why I ask. Not all cameras have gone with an EVF that isn't polarized itself (Olympus EM-5 mk II and EM-1 mk II both get a really annoying templar cross through the center of the EVF, for example, while the Panasonic G85 and G9 do not have any problems with their EVFs and polarized sunglasses)

    • @ronaldbubnich7429
      @ronaldbubnich7429 6 лет назад +1

      I wouldn’t say that there are issues with polarized glasses and the evf necessarily, but I would treat it as if I was using a polarizer on the lens and therefore compensate about two stops.

    I know a lot of people love the classic style of the Fujifilm cameras, especially the X100 series. However, I am leaning towards getting a Lumix LX100 which is similar in many ways but has a more versatile 24-75mm (f1.7-2.8) lens. All be it the sensor is M43 vs APSC, I feel the lens makes up for it since you can go from 24, 35, 50, and 75 in a small package. I have an older LX7, which I really enjoy having the versatility of focal lengths and still use my feet. I do, however, like that the X100 series has that hybrid finder especially in low-light situations. And the inclusion of the film simulation modes. I feel like both are wonderful tools but I probably sit more in the Lumix camp for the fast zoom over a fast prime. What are your thoughts, would love to hear some opinions.

      I currently own a Nikon d750 that I really love for photography, but it doesn't quite cut it on the video side, so I'm looking for a camera ecosystem that would allow me to do good photography/video and that would have some long lenses as well... all of that without breaking the bank 🤪

    What's the difference between price and price point? Can''t see one.I think I've only heard it said on camera reviews

    Still havn't found a good reason to upgrade from my X-E1 when I want a smaller camera. I know the AF is rubbish but manual focusing is half the fun with the retro style cameras. Also I just found the X-E3 to be a little too small for my hands

    Great video and it helped me a lot.
    I plan to travel to Japan, and I am choosing camera. I don't like hung it on my neck, so when I didn't take photo I'll put my camera in my bag. So I need a smaller camera. I have two alternative one. a6300 with kit lens, fuji xt-2 with 23mm f2. And another question, RX100iv or G7X, does mirrorless can kill them. My friend gave agreement to get a pocket camera.
