im not a vegan/vegetarian but for some reason this quarantine has made me and my bf just get so sick and tired of meat. im going to try a lot of these!! perfect! thank you merle!!
I love how none of these were salads or involved hard-to-get things like tofu (I live in a rural area where that's not widely available). Everything here had easy-to-find ingredients and didn't involve anything complicated (sorry Merle, I'd probably swap rice or riced cauliflower for quinoa because I prefer those, but you do you!)
I'm not even rural, but Tofu has blown up as a popular item at my local store. It's like hitting the jackpot if you can find it at all, let alone the right kind for your recipe. The suppliers can't keep up with the demand according to the workers, it has been backordered since before the pandemic.
Damn I feel like I should appreciate the fact that it's always available but I experience a weird random emotional state when I have a little more than I should plus it messes up my period.
@@mariakhan7986 Exactly why women should avoid soy - including Tofu. Find another protein that is soy free. Soy significantly increases women's estrogen levels. That's why you end up feeling emotional. Excessive or increased estrogen intake also significantly increases women's risk of getting female reproductive and breast cancers
If you have access to soy milk it’s actually very easy to make your own tofu! You just have to boil it in a lot with them some lemon juice and let it curdle and then strain with a cheese cloth. Look up recipes on RUclips

This might just be the best vegan food recipe video of all time. GOAT. It covers a wide range of food recipes and like the whole course. Appetizer to dessert. Thank you for making vegan a more familiar and friendly way to eat and live.
Good ideals I now have my grocery list complete. Being a new vegan 1 yr (I fell of the wagon now getting back on). The recipies are simple, quick, and looks delicious.
Thanks Merle, you just saved my sanity! I'm a tad over cooking, not had a lot of inspiration lately. You've put me back on track! Bolognaise here I come!
"I just wanna be walking through Stars Hallow with a mug full of this soup, sippin' it, turnin' down dream boys left and right, gettin' straight A's." When I finally open my soup and chill restaurant, this will be the description I put under this soup.
Wonderful! I love making my own tomato sauce with real tomatoes, it takes about 10/15 minutes. What I mean is, instead of using canned tomatoes or tomato paste, you can easily make your own tomato sauce and eventually keep it in the refrigerator. In Italy in the past, people use to put fresh tomatoes, olive oil and basil in sterilised bottles and then submerge the bottles in water placed in huge containers, boil them for a long time (I was a child I can't remember) and get your own "conserva" for the winter. Conserva stays preserved for a very long time without any nasty chemicals or preservatives added. This was traditionally done in Italy, especially in the South but nowadays people are just too buzy and lazy to bother 😔 Let's hope that the coronavirus can help people put things into perspective again. Life is about love, good food and joy ♥️😍😊🍲😘
I’m drunk and I’m so hungry right now all this sounds amazing 🤤 MERLE YOU ROOOOCK!! You’re the best and motivated me to become vegetarian 😁 2 months and counting 🤟
Why have I only just discovered you??! This is my kind of cooking and very similar to some recipes I thought I had made up myself at home but obviously not lol!
Wow... You're awesome Merle and this is very useful for someone who live in Indonesia who practically has a very limited source of knowledge on clean eating due to all these greasy options we have here. Also this is good for someone whose half lazy - but still wanted to be healthy. Bravoooo!
Omg I love you thank you for all of these recipes will be hard to do these in my truck but when I get home omg I am going to be having some fun in the kitchen. I drive semi trucks.
Merle, is a friggin vibe ™ And this food is just plain epic! Hey Merle, try making some indian yellow dal (lentils) tadka They're amazing protein, delish, and soooo good for immunity too.
I have been following this channel for quite some time and I love everything you guys put out there! I have recently decided I am finally cutting meat out of my life, slowly but surely and your content is just so amazing and genuine! And it's helping me a lot when it comes to food and where to start. I am currently a few days in and just at the pescatarian level, hopefully a month or so into vegetarian and see how I do there, take my time to adjust and finally get to try veganism. Thank you Goodful! xoxo Merle!
These are great, she packs a lot in here and though I also cook a lot, I've never made veggie burgers so now I'm inspired. :) I only have one tip of my own: if you want to keep it vegan but make it *creamy*, add coconut milk to the soups (especially butternut) or sorbets!
I used to really dislike cooking vegan meals, because most of the ingredients are really hard to find in my country, and buying them online was too expensive. Then I realized that I was depending too much on the "vegan replacements" instead of the basic things like rice, potatoes, eggplants, etc. It was hard to find vegan recipes that used these basic plant based ingredients instead of using the fancy replacement. This video saves me!
I just watch these videos casually while I'm doing other things usually but I have been trying to go vegan for a while. And literally that fruit sorbet saved me today! I'm lactose intolerant but I still have ice cream in my place. And to make it worse it's been melted and refrozen about a dozen times ick. but I saw that sorbe and it's the perfect answer to my problems because I keep gorging on ice cream. Which of course just makes me feel so much worse than when I started. Thanks so much that was a real lifesaver!
For the cheese sauce, it's very very good with raw yellow bell peppers. I've been doing a super easy cheese sauce lately that's raw yellow bell peppers, canned chickpeas, raw peeled & seeded lemon, & nutritional yeast, blended smooth. It's the best and easiest vegan cheese sauce I've made
Love your videos 💜💜. I recommend that you taste wheat groats. The wheat groats is simply amazing and the it have variety of recipes you can make and of course most importantly it's vegan.😻😻😻😻
These look good. Someone come up with a Olives and mushroom burger. I just had an olive and mushroom pizza. I think that would be good. The more video's I watch of these. I can eat soup all year long.🙂 The more I may go full Plant Based.Your Videos are fun. 💖 Butternut squash on my next list if I can find it.
Love the idea of putting the leftover quinoa, bean, corn and salsa bake into a tortilla! A similar dish is a staple in our house, but I've never thought to do this with it. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this video. It looks so quick, easy and delicious ! The sorbet recipes at the end really make a difference as well ! Loved it ! Can't wait to try everything in this video, I'll start next week 😍
