Perfectly normal and harmless and what many don't realise is that there is many times more microscopic bacteria on the surface of our skin regardless of how well you wash and how thorough you scrub! Maybe guy could put a sample under the microscope!
Also, the air we breathe in, the surfaces we touch (even after washing), the food we eat (even after cooking). People have become paranoid and stupid after CoCo-Vide, and some basically think like Invader Zim when he wears meat and sprays every inch of his house with disinfectant. You'll never, ever escape bacteria, viruses, or other microbes, and we have immune systems for a reason.
God made dirt and dirt don’t hurt. The more one tries to protect oneself against bacteria and such, the weaker their immune system becomes. I grew up playing in puddles , running around with no shoes, if you get a cut you spit and rub dirt on it and needles to say, that may be somewhat extensive. However I’ve yet to ever catch the flu or even a simple cold and i minimally masked up and never caught the Rona. Selective breeding and survival of the fittest I say.

Usually seawater helps cuts heal because of the salinity it can help against infection. I’ve never heard of it inducing infection, it must have came from terrestrial bacteria elsewhere.
Chances are sea didn't caused it unless it was a swamp, did you had socks on it? Any sweaty clothes touching the wound? Had a bath and used dirty towels? Your immune system should cope with almost any bacteria known to man in sea or not, getting this issue means something went terribly wrong.

It's funny to think about how the size different between sand and these bacteria isn't too vast when compared to us, but the bacteria are just small enough to be invisible to the human eye
considering that people are still around, my guess is that, as usual, exposure to "risk factors" and "yucky stuff" makes you stronger + the salt and sun kindda makes it either harmless or healthy.
To be fair, the water you sampled is usually not the water people accidentally swallow. The turbid setting is its own ecosystem. 100 feet out is a different ecosystem.
