You have to switch lane change on "chill" mode to change less lanes. You can do this by pressing the right wheel knob to the right and choose chill mode. Also you can put it on manual so you would be in control of lane changes.
Hi Edpr, haven't seen that option when pressing the right scroll wheel. Only option I see is minimal lane changes option, which I've tried, but unfortunately you have to do that on "every" drive
Update. Yes you are correct. Have been trying it on "average" before trying chill. It's better but. I still find myself having to prod the accelerator, especially when at an intersection with flashing red lights. Just today it kept moving and stopping before I had to take over.
I have the same experiences as you with navigating parking lots. They need to use whatever "navigation" theyre using with summon for FSD in parking lots. It's so much smoother and accurate.
Hi Thewitherslayer, absolutely agree. Hope they can get this solved with holiday update!
which oldest model year of the Y can you get the Summon?
Hi Remyd, I believe any year on the model Y. At launch, The car had the Ultra Sonic Sensors instead of relying on the cameras only. Around 2022, Tesla removed USS. Having said that I'm not sure if older cars with USS received the update to Actually Smart Summon. Haven't had the opportunity to play with car equipped with USS in a while.
which version of FSD you have?
Hi Alexander, We have FSD v12.5.4.1 on Hw3
"Why is it turning here?" because that's what the GPS says to go.
Yeah.... it's just that there was a way more convenient way with a lot less turns if we'd had just kept driving straight. But it does sound funny and makes for a "Duh" kind of moment
