    Finally, someone doing all the profiles instead of just hurry mode.

      Lol, yeah, everyone seems to be in love with hurry. It's a bit fast for my taste, although, I find myself using it alot because it will make the car go the correct speed on all the roads in my area with wrong map data. So many 35mph roads around me have map data saying the speed limit is 25. Super annoying. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Great work! I haven't seen any other videos on speed profiles. I've just started using FDS. I have been stepping on the go pedal to make the car go faster without realizing the profiles weren't turned on yet. I can see that eventually this FDS will actually work.

      Thanks! I haven't seen any others either, figured someone had to be curious. I've had to do that quite a few times as well. V12 was way worse about going slow, but still had to do it every now and then on V13. Thanks for watching!

    So far, I've found setting the max speed offset to 25% works really well with almost no chance of attracting the wrong kind of attention.
    Tesla drivers need a way to report map data errors as easily as we report disengagements.

    • @EastCoastTesla
      @EastCoastTesla  20 дней назад

      I could definitely see 25% being a good sweet spot. May try that out for everyday driving and see how it goes. Couldn't agree more about being able to report map data errors. I hope one day Tesla is able to come up with a better solution. Thank you for watching and commenting, as always!

      No problem at all! Hope you're enjoying it so far. Comment anytime if you have questions, I'm glad to help out. I'll be making a tutorial on FSD soon enough. Just got to get all of my thoughts together for it. Especially now that V13 is out and a bunch has changed. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    Nicely done! As a new Model 3 Highland owner (2 months) it's videos like this that help me gain a better insight to this car. I appreciate the fact that you repeated the exact driving conditions for each profile. Very thorough! Thank you!

      Congratulations on the car! Hope you love it. I got the car from this video back in September, and it's amazing. I'm going to do a review of it pretty soon, and I'll also do some tips and tricks videos at some point as well. Thanks for compliment on the video, I was hoping it would be useful for someone. Have a great day and Happy Holidays!

      Took a few random FSD drives today and noted some of the disengagements you had on your drives. I also had a few instances where the car got confused and would not move forward or back as it complained of an obstacle in either path. I also had one instance where the car stopped well short (about 1 car length) at a stop sign for a right turn. It waited for one truck (from the left). It then sped up as if it were going to make the right but I took control as there was another truck about 3-4 car lengths behind the fist one coming from the left. I seriously though my car would have pulled out in front of that following truck. Bottom line, I agree with you as the current software is not "Robo-taxi" ready.

    Excellent video. Thanks for taking the time to test all the different profiles in the same driving conditions. It sure made things a lot easier for me to understand how the profiles are working.

    Really like the comparison of different profiles of FSD and how it behave in different scenario. I would like to see how FSD do in a more chaotic scenarios especially in downtown areas. Excellent videoo!

    Thanks for doing the profile comparisons. Today I just first tested the FSD 13.2.2 trial again on a short trip to the Bank and back. It did do a couple of disengagements - first one not sure why at a stop sign intersection, and the second one pulling out of Bank parking lot got too close to curbing on exit. Other than those it seemed to do fine. I used STANDARD profile. I also tried backing out of my driveway with FSD enabled, worked fine. Overall drive seemed to be smoother than my previous FSD trials.
    When I use FSD in my testing, I will only use CHILL or STANDARD. I am in no big hurry to get anywhere plus traffic is very light where I do daily driving.
    So over my next 30 days, I will see how this new version compares to previous trials I did with versions 12.5.6 which did all kinds of weird things.
    Will I purchase or subscribe to FSD after trial - not sure yet if I want to put down 99 dollars a month being retired. I want to see what the Economy is going to do under Trump Regime far as Social Security and Medicare benefits, etc. - Is he going to SCREW with them. I can use that 99 dollars for more important necessities. FSD to me is a Luxury item. I can still drive myself with no problems and I don't drive very far daily.
    Thanks for your video. Happy Holidays.

      You're welcome! Glad you got a free trial to try out V13, it's definitely a huge improvement over the last time they gave out a trial. Still needs some work though, but it's progress. I use standard most of the time now, except I do use hurry for some of the roads that the car goes 10mph under the speed limit.
      12.5.6 was an okay version, had some improvements from prior builds, but I agree, it did weird things and had alot of jerkiness in the steering wheel.
      The next few years will be interesting. Hopefully things go well and that FSD will get so good that the $99 per month is totally worth it. Thanks for watching and commenting! Happy New Year!

    How about posting the average speed over the route? I wonder what the difference is between profiles total time over distance. Thx for this quality content.

    That a good video, the only thing the coming up to speed seem a little slow even in the hurry speed would thought it would be a little quicker, another RUclipsr make some comment about it been a little lazy on the get up?

    • @EastCoastTesla

      It's not terrible for me, but there have been times pulling out on to busy roads where I wish it would accelerate quicker. Good point. Thanks for watching!

    I am also having problems losing the attention monitoring when wearing sunglasses. It appears to occur when the sun hits my sunglasses. It occurs more with the mirrored sunglasses and less with the non-mirrored. I have one pair of non-mirrored with a lighter tint that does not appear to do it at all.

    There are two settings under autopilot for speed 1. max speed offset 0% 2. speed limit> relative> speed, which one takes over? the latter doesn't seem to work at all in V13

    • @EastCoastTesla
      @EastCoastTesla  14 дней назад

      Great question.. I'm kind of thinking that the second one doesn't do anything anymore.. I noticed it was still there the other day and was curious myself. May do some testing on this

    If there were no traffic at all, a 40% increase in speed over the posted limit anywhere in my municipality - but especially a school zone - would get you automatically ticketed. Multiple tickets would get your license suspended. The local tolerance is +3mph (+15% @20mph).
    This makes me wonder how FSD handles traffic from an unmapped blind entrances. eg Caution trucks entering advisory sign during construction .

    • @EastCoastTesla
      @EastCoastTesla  18 дней назад

      If I had to guess, it's probably not paying those signs any mind right now. Doesn't seem to be reading any yet, atleast no that I can tell. And yeah, speed control still needs more work, but much improved in my opinion from V12. Thanks for watching and commenting!
