I did check them out. They use Miyota movements mostly I think. However, in terms of price point, I think you can get very good Seiko watches instead. FYI. They claim to be Swiss in origin but their watches are assembled in China.
@@seanlingham5254 You are correct. However you can get them second hand very cheap. Miyota was fantastic on the timegrapher so SevenFriday do more regulation than Seiko!
I think it comes down, there's something for everyone. RM while I think lookover the top, but they have a few I like, but can never afford, nor would they be on my list. If anything I'd want and can afford a traditional El Primero; Honestly I think many of the over thr top watches are made and sold to those who basically have great collections and have the bank to buy them. Still nice to have a non Rolex centric review. FWIW have one Rolex current edition Explorer and love the feel and simplicity, if I was to get another it would be one of the newer OP's or Milgaus.
Hey I have that Azimuth with chain on the dial but the forged carbon version. The model name is Crazy Rider. It's a pretty cool watch and fun to look at when the chain moves while setting the time. At least something different. I also like Cvstos actually, but definitely get it grey market. Cvstos is under Franck Muller group. It's basically a "wild" version of FM.
Hublot Spirit of a Big Bang is just a Big Bang design squeezed in tonneau shape. Just like almost any square or round RM is essentially their iconic tonneau design in a different shape.
Frank Mueller Long Island Diamond Relief 2 is actually a better watch than anything Richard Mille has ever made. They usually retail at a fraction of the cost at about 40k.
Always enjoy your videos. I really don’t get the allure of Richard Mille. Though I can understand why the prices are crazy high (making everything to make every model - super expensive). Not sure why anyone would want to pay for that. But thank goodness we are all different. I wish I had that kind of budget for buying watches. That would be awesome (at least it seems like it would be).
I personally wouldn’t buy look a likes because watches are a jeweller/status symbol. How embarrassing when someone meet you and go “oh wow is that a Richard Mille?” and then realise it’s a frank muller ...
@@bhavikmerchant3136 for sure, FM is still a decent brand and if you like FM you should wear it proudly. What I mean is that people shouldn’t wear a FM in order to pretend to be wearing a RM.
Do you have any idea how much a FM costs? It's not a cheap watch. I don't believe FM buyers buy it to scratch a Richard Mille itch. Anyone who can afford a FM with just a slight bit of effort, will be able to put in the cash for a regular RM model.
Because it’s made for people with so much money where it just becomes a matter of “I know I shouldn’t but I can”. Not trying to diss Richard Mille, their craftsmanship is off the charts, but they are just too over engineered beyond any reason.
If you wanted people to think you were filthy rich with new money, and if you were not filthy rich but had a similarly fairly garish sense of taste, this is the video for you.
You can't teach people class. Get a proper watch from Patek. They have 'show off your cash' models which exude class. That being said, if you like a RM, for real, go for it. Same for FM or any other brand. But if it's to show off the cash, RM isn't the answer. You downgrade class for it.
Richard Mille shape is a COPY of Frank Muller ……. His design of watches where years before this overrated overpriced crazy prised watch ….. ANYONE …. I mean anyone that would pay Hundred s of thousands of Dollars for a RM is bonkers ……. What a load of utter nonsense!
Ciga Design anyone ? Okay, they are inexpensive, but I think they do the aesthetic better, if that’s your bag.
The picture is wonky, he's looking a bit flustered, I think Fed is under the desk rolled up in a carpet.
Thanks for the inspiration! This really chimes with inspirations I take for my independent music, it’s so nice to see this kind of work out there.
I can tell you for a fact that Richard Mille were the ones who copied Frank Muller’s tonneau shaped case from the 90’s.
Yeah, well, Muller copied it from a popular design from the 20s and 30s. It is nothing new, and wasn't in the 90s either.
@@double00spywhich designs of the 30s , you can’t just throw something out without evidence.
SevenFriday scratches that itch and preowned super value. Good time keeper and relatively thin.

Richard Mille took inspiration from Franck Muller so FM is the OG RM. probably the main alternative imo
Love Franck muller

Was not familiar with Devon watches, very interesting! Thanks for bringing to my attention..
I saw a guy wearing a Devon tread 1 watch in an airport once (we were both in the economy queue) and it looked ridiculous. It was massive.
I ran over my Seiko on the concrete garage floor, looked just like a Richard Mille!

franck muller brand is older than RM and they came with this design before it so it should be watch that look like Franck muller
There is a watch with a Chinese Tourbillon and is encased in a sapphire crystal. I think it is Aventi watches. Pretty interesting looking.
Hublot Spirit of a Big Bang is just a Big Bang design squeezed in tonneau shape. Just like almost any square or round RM is essentially their iconic tonneau design in a different shape.
I agree. I actually own a Spirit. It's very different from RMs I've looked at up close. In styling, material and the vibe.
I love the look of the Zenith. What's that model and cost?
Great video John
One of the OG when RM came out, TW steel ceo tonneau is nice
Tsar bomba have got it nailed
Great video interesting topic.... keep it up John.
I'm almost terrified to watch, but you know...like car accidents ...one can't turn away sometimes...
hahahaha
Davis Elvin watches are probably the best choice
These watches look completely different than RM to me.
The Azimuth looks like bender from futurama
Anybody else have a sharp audio glitch at 12:32?
Oooops
Frank Mueller Long Island Diamond Relief 2 is actually a better watch than anything Richard Mille has ever made. They usually retail at a fraction of the cost at about 40k.
I was afraid Aventi would be mentioned!
Aventi.....be very afraid 😧
still to this day i pronounce it Richard 'Mile' instead of Mille LOL
I threw both R Mille and my Zenith from the Empire State Building and they both broke I need my Timex back😂
Part 2
What was the name of that Zenith watch?
Came here for watches but saw mostly just you
Good vid I like that you used non-generic brands and some actual decent watches
I'm very offended by your comments about Hublot... Actually, I'm not, and no one else is either. Thankfully, Hublot has no fanboys.
I hope you and Fed are getting on ok
You mean schmed?!
Tsar Bomba, Onola watch etc..
Amount of money you should save buying a casio ?
Do you think value of the OP39 is going to go up now it's discontinued?
Possibly. People really liked the size.

👍
RMs there will be a hype crash they look more cheesy than a Micky mouse watch

ironic considering rm copied frank mullers design
rm is so over engineered😂

Your fact are wrong. Frank Muller came out with that style of case.get your fact right please
Only think worst than a RM is a RM ripoff
Have you had a facelift?!!
Why on Earth would I want a watch that looks like a Richard Mille, or even the genuine article? They're HIDEOUS.
