That One Guy I realize this is old as hell but i still want to congratulate you. Your age i had a kid on the way already and got married. Love the kids but it was still the biggest mistake i ever made or will make. If you want a child, make sure you move to a jurisdiction that affords children to men atleast 40% of the time when they request it.

Former PUA adept here. From my experience and what I observed within the community it's really more about bullshitting others rather than getting any actual results. Their forums are populated by two categories of people: gullible desperate newbs who think that reading PUA literature and paying thousands of dollars to go to meetings will get them laid and "professional" PUAs (those who make money off it) who keep telling the noobs how awesome their lives are to keep them paying.
Personally none of the tactics and day/night game stuff ever got me closer to getting laid than I was before, nor did it work for any of my PUA pals. We just wasted a lot of time hanging out at the malls and nightclubs trying to "game" with 0 success. Arguably I am short and non-masculine looking guy, so perhaps someone who looks more like Roosh has better results. But then whats the point of all this PUA nonsense anyway? All it really is a big waste of time and money.
What eventually changed my opinion of PUA was when I found out that one of the professional PUAs who was making videos about gaming other women was faking it all along. Turns out these were paid actresses and not random women on the street, who would at first give him the cold shoulder and after some PUA "tricks" suddenly change their mind. Obviously when gullible noobs like myself and others would ask on forums why these tactics don't work for us... well obviously because we "don't have game yet, we need to attend this seminar for $3000 and we will learn some secret PUA arts!"
TLDR if I had anything to say to those considering between PUAs and MGTOWs it's go your own way, don't waste your time and money on PUA scam artists. Your life is better spent improving yourself and working on something you enjoy.

I've done my own anecdotal work in regards to online dating. My personal results say only the PUA tactics work at all, whereas any sort of honesty is suicide. If I run game, I can get a dozen girls on my phone in time for the weekend. If I'm me, I can get maybe one girl in time for Christmas.

***** I agree about out of my league, but I cant force myself to be interested in 3-4s. To me looks (and waistline) are very important. Sure I can get some land whale with no game involved but I wont get it up for her.

After Barbarossa told that story about 15 minutes in. it’s convinced me that pimps are on to something. Not necessarily morally right, or even justifiable whatsoever, but in theory and in practice they seem to have figured out the nature of women, which is sad. Because as barb said, there’s an element of sociopathy and very calculated manipulation when it comes to getting women’s attention. I’ve noticed myself doing it, as well as my friends, brother, and father. I’m absolutely no playboy myself, but this is why a certain percentage of men (10-15%) when combined with being good looking, exploit these “techniques” and get the lion’s share of women’s attention. (85-90%)

Absolutely bro it’s quite depressing tbh but I think a lot of woman are genuinely only attracted to assholes the last one I had in my life I cared about alot but I was still naive and young so was she only a year older than me but I started quite toxic tbh didn’t care if we were dating or if we were just “acquaintances” or and not toxic towards her per say but she used to love when I was toxic to others and she virtually was all over me anytime I had an argument with someone and occasionally she would be touching/encouraging me during the argument we were solid for a few years albeit towards each other not so much some others but unfortunately for me I starting caring too much about her and tell her that and getting a bit more mature stopped a lot of the toxicity and didn’t want to be an asshole to people anymore and the spark was almost entirely gone and she left not long after in quite a depressing manner still bums out a bit to this day tbh how much they can switch up on you and be so cruel

My experience is so close to what Barbarossa is describing. I noticed the same thing, although it took me longer to get it because I've always been stubborn, in terms of the favorable lies we're told about women, and I spent a brief period where I tried to adapt, but I decided that I simply couldn't live with myself being that way. It was simply unethical for me to be the way that you need to be to be successful with women, to be duplicitous, to be the bad boy or the asshole, and it began to truly anger me the lies that the entire social order tells about what women are like, and the fact that all of the rules and laws for men are based upon these lies. It is absolute madness. That's what began to draw me to MGTOW content.

Kindly take this as a compliment because I spent time in the father’s rights area in the 80s and 90s and those guys could not “get it together” to have a community. This MGTOW has great value in that one has only to look at interactions with women to confirm these observations that are being given voice.

Re: gynocentrism I understand neither of you found anything at the dawn of MGTOW relating to gynocentrism on RUclips, but I just did a quick Google search on my site and the earliest reference I find there to gynocentrism is in 1995. I was proto-MGTOW at that time and very involved in the MRM and I recall many discussions about gynocentrism among the Seattle MRAs.

I don't read much PUA content because there is very little new that they post there that I don't already know and what new there is, doesn't usually work or have no basis on what is true or not. The content they have is really hit and miss.
Ultimately people are actually not that hard to understand in my opinion. You just have to pay attention enough to social ques, what they say, how they say it, what expressions (verbal and non-verbal) they use and know something about them and you can tell quite a lot about how the person thinks. From there, it is not too hard to predict what how they will react to things.
For example, someone who has had an absent father who left early from her childhood often tends to have trust issues towards males. They might slip and yet, they also often want to have that strong male figure in life to fix for the lost security that their father could have provided.
It really is not that hard when you learn the talent of seeing the world trough other peoples eyes and experiences because I guarantee you that if you were given the same situation, then you would turn out pretty much the same as they have. You just have to dig up the start and pretty much the rest just flow.
But even though I know all of this, I have the sciences of human condition behind me and I even have the tools to work with those personality types that have issues. I just don't find it appealing to do something like that. Because lets be honest here, our existence to the purposes of greater universal meaning is particularly irrelevant. It does not mean our lives can not have meaning, in fact I have a lot of it. But ultimately our impact to the universe is practically insignificant.
And I have had some females talking to me and they have been asking why MGTOW. My response has been that ask yourself, what was great men if history, like Newton, Tesla, Pascal, Einstein or even modern time Stephen Hawkin, what are/were they known for? Well certainly not from their relationship status. But from their contribution to the betterment of whole human society and the advancement of scientific field and our knowledge about the universe.
So it becomes clear that our lives are not determined by the relationships that we have with other human beings but our contribution to the better end of our species and how extensive that contribution is, determines our value. It is not to say relationships with other human beings, even if simply friendships aren't important. What I am saying is that from 1000-years from now on, no one will remember a person named you and what sort of relationships you had if that was your high point in life. However people will remember you if you achieved to do something significant.
And this. This point right here is why I find so much value in the MGTOW path. Every day your intellectual capacity is being challenged in new ways, where open debate with critically thinking people exists, where the best of the best ideas survive until a better one is developed and where new information is constantly challenged. In a way, I see MGTOW as a bastion of what the modern day academia isn't, but what it used to be once. This, this is valuable.

Barbar my parents are each 70 and are now divorcing after four decades of marriage. I know it doesn't happen often but don't be surprised if it does. My father is in a very similar situation to yours (1 year retired now) in that he wants to return to his home country whereas my mother does not. After he is done with the divorce I am not positive he will follow through with it. He is having trouble working himself up to leaving the country after decades of living here. Even more disturbing, he is thinking of going back to work at his age because he can't find any propose for himself outside of working. I understand it but I can't relate to it. We've spoken but like you I don't think I fully got through to him.

    Watching 2020 second time.
On my journey you were introducing evo psyc if you can accept the crude term. I came from an art phil background, and started with chomsky transformational grammar and all the decon guys from grad school.
You and Mgtow gave some real world contemporary examples, some red pills.
My new area is to sync with genetics, and have just finished all the Dawkins work on evolution, more evo psyc.
These more scientifically grounded men have qualified parts of the Mgtow movement, even though they may disavow it in public. Were all driving to answering the big questions, why are we here and where are we going.
All roads lead to politics so now Im trying to find a praxis from my journey, a way of being i can make into a personal philosophy, something i can share, as you two do.
Barbarossa gave me a touchstone vision in one of his works.
Its the fantasy of man, woman and the state sitting around a negotiating table, the state leaning one way or another through the ages. The state is a self interested mediator, created from the fears and dreams of both sides toward their goals.
With mgtow men have pulled away from the table, even walking away, denying their evolutionary goals, Dawkins selfish gene.
This is a hardball strategy, but they have left the state alone with the women.
When they return the triangle will be broken and the bond stabilized to exclude them as passive but ultimately free orbitals.
Their spermatozoic contribution will be their sexual activity in the transhuman. Sexual reproduction is now socialized in human farming, artificial insemination and embryo to grave state control.
Racial and sexual politics collapses into a computer genomic game.
Today Canada is preparing the way with cannabis grow ops, a prototype of human farming. Inside highly mechanized dark industrial sheds are built the endless cycle. Starting with the aptly named mother room, the genomic experiment is started, porgressing in timed steps to flower rooms then trimming and shipping rooms.
Scaling up to the human genome is just next.

IMHO the path to the Red Pill will vary from man to man however, I firmly believe that many men despite the awakening would return to blue pill existence or a variation of it if men had not started talking and sharing stories etc via the internet. For me personally and I am quite sure its the same for other men. The most important aspect is the regular reinforcement and confirmation from others within the manosphere.

+Betty Swolloks You're right. That was me. If men weren't talking, I never would have changed. I started with Stardusk but he never linked anything most of the time. I knew somehow he was telling the truth. From him, I found Leykis, various men's forums, and started to notice things that I personally experienced. And we all see it. The same situation replaying itself. It's why MGTOW think Feminism is natural to women instead of some outside product. I've seen it at work and experienced it myself.
I don't even remember the article. It was how some Feminists wanted to change things. I remember just fucking snapping. I was so filled with rage because it was Feminism that taught me the extent of just how selfish and manipulative women could be. All that other shit was just that on a smaller scale. At this point, it's just constant constant reinforcement.

    • @bettyswolloks7699
      @bettyswolloks7699 9 лет назад +5

TYRANNICAL Exactly. Feminism is just normal female nature out in the open for all to see. The unintended consequence of this has been to awaken men to how women really view men and our own shitty position within society. Just look at all these " women against feminism" videos that are now appearing, desperately trying to get the toothpaste back in the tube.

I had no girl problems before consciously going my own way. Even when I was a kid I would always fantasise about living on my own (or with an adopted child), well before seeing women in an unflattering light. My peers were obviously subjected to the same environment, so I suppose it must be somehow biological.

Reading from, The Predatory Female book, by Rev Lawrence Shannon
    "Soaps
    Q. How are predatory females and soap
    operas associated?
    A. TV soap operas are particularly attractive
    to predatory females.
    Their lifestyles reflect
an almost unconscious imitation of soap
opera scenarios. A predatory female enjoys
cultivating scandalous events and involving herself in everyone's problems.
A group of predatory females will even talk like soap opera players, whispering in conspiratorial tones and using exaggerated voice inflections.
The alert observer can identify this predatory sign in almost any gathering of females."

24:00 Barbarossa talking about his blue pill dad and how he catered to his wife. Nice perspective by Barbarossa.
In my family watching my father being unhappy I falsely concluded he didn't want children. My mother certainly made that part clear telling my brother and I often she regretted it. And so I falsely concluded that women weren't the problem, it was shitty jobs like my father had and children. Boy was I wrong.

MGTOW - In my opinion should be more focused on expansion with a purpose, a clear one like some said that only %1 of men are full red pill, and so we shouldent go into politics as you said(in politics the majority wins) but adopt the behavior of it. Its like that think of" better to have a small fish than nothink", but still focus to catch as big as u can. In the end find a margine of it with more people agreeing on it and MGTOW will grow even faster. And sorry for my bad english.

    • @windinlife5536

Your father is showing his male loyalty to the woman who will not compromise with him. Typical marraige dynamics.
Your father also 'puts up' with the way your mother treats him. Just like my father. Again typical marraige dynamics.
And likewise, I observed these dynamics as a child and the batchelor penny dropped in me, even though I had not even heard of mgtow by then; the mgtow seed was sown.

We (wife & I) help other Manginas retire too. We older people have simple ideas of life generally. Self worth comes from a status job, career, work place. Home life is not really for men. Working from home was not an easy option for our generation.
The older women are similarly limited.
