Great to see you again Adam, and always a pleasure talking about these fantastic cars. Also, thanks again to everyone for their kind comments. it's great that you seem to like listening to me rabbit on about them, lol
Paul, im not a ford man by any means, but i could sit all day and listen to you talk about them. The 80s touring cars were my era, and its great to see the passion you have for them
The knowledge you have about these cars is second to non. Seriously I hope everything you know, gets documented for future generations to enjoy and learn about. I’d love to see these classic in person
Top man! You genuinely now your cars.... what a mint motorsport sunday afternoon for me...out on my 90,s 2 stroke polished my 90,s vauxhall then this just topped it off... mint cars cheers paul!
Some day I will be standing in that new amazing shed putting an rs500 on my trailer to take home 🙏 got to love Paul Linfoot and his love and knowledge of rs500’s
Great to see I watched BTTC Touring Cars the other day with Tim Havey Comentating,This RS500 Brings back Lots of great memorys of the Best Time in Touring cars it Not Been a Patch on it Since.
I never tire of watching these clips with you and Paul, you have a great relationship that gives us an insight to these amazing cars, looking forward to the next one 👌
Hi Adam and Paul, a perfect afternoon in Paul's workshop, and now it's even bigger..!!! A trio of such famous and important cars in a row, pure pleasure eh..!! Great video guy's, enjoyed every second as always, Paul's knowledge is legendary and so interesting. Thank you both.. Alex
Everything goes on stop in my house for an Adam and Paul RS 500 videos thanks both again for an amazing look into a great history love you both and all these amazing cars Paul your love for these is legendary ❤
Thanks Adam for giving us such great access. I absolutely worshipped these cars as a boy, used to watch the '88, '89 and '90 BTCC highlights VHS's over and over!
Remember viewing this car @Martin J’s house years ago & buying parts from him. Watched it race when I was 9!!!!! Great cars & fantastic being kept in good shape too.
I saw Tim Harvey a number of years ago at Mallory Park wracking the car around it was a privilege to see him it’ll be a day I’ll remember for the rest of my life
if someone has the money that is a iconic car to add to collection paul is Knowledgeable and a pleasure to listen too I enjoy every visit to Paul's workshop as you both are pleasure to listen too
Thanks for the content as always Adam. And thanks to Paul for allowing us into his RS 500 world nd knowledge. Best part of this video was the pure joy of you being in that driver's seat mate. 👍
I saw these on Paul’s channel for sale video’s, was hoping you’d be going down for a butcher’s at them and do a video, great listening to Paul’s knowledge on these car’s, I could sit and listen to him all day.
Absolutely fantastic video thank you for posting. This is pure childhood memories for me bbc coverage and MurrayWalker going like mad . Adam you are a lucky guy and Paul thank you for letting us see and hear these wonderful machines, I would love to buy you both a pint and listen to you for hours .
I think that when you go to Pauls place Adam, your videos are the best thing on youtube 👍👍 superb. I remember Slim Borgudd! and ive seen this car at oulton park a few years ago, it drove into the pasdock and sombody put it up on the air jacks and everyone of a certain age just flocked to it! absolutely stunning machine. incidentally ive just found a scale model of the watsons water car for sale on ebay with j&w gifts and hobbies !
Great video great listening to Paul , looked up that labbats car and found pictures of it at oulton park having been hit in the rear quarter with the team pushing it out 😂👍🏻
Another great video, bringing back memories of the touring car championships from back in the day. As soon as the video finished I looked for the footage of Paul Smith doing the hill run at Goodwood in that car, and what a car!! On dodgy tyres and he still smashed the fastest time, taking first place. Absolutely love the RS500, never been a car like it and never will be. Anyway, great video and look forward to the next one. Cheers Adam
Either of those 3 cars would be a dream to own but I'd still rather have the black one or the moonstone one you can glimpses of in the video.. GREAT video again Adam.
Adam visit Paul and immediately regresses to the small boy he once was watching these on track.😁😁😁 These vids are so good and little pieces of history on themselves, why with Paul's knowledge. 👍
I absolutely love all these videos with Paul. I am a mk2 golf guy and never been into old ford's but I absolutely love all this stuff!. Much love from Scotland!.
My favourite RS 500 with the best livery closely followed by the Benson and hedges a great video as always and great to see Paul's workshop has expanded is it connected to the back of the original workshop?
Great video as always. I'm late to the channel and have a question. Where does Paul actually do the restorations? The garage I/we see isnt the actual workshop, where the rebuilds get built. Am I wrong? If not, can we get to see the workshop? (Yes I'm nosey lol...Sorry)
They should bring back road tracks. My town would be an awesome racetrack. I heard a few years ago, that the law was changing again that would make this possible again. I heard it at the same time when they were mentioning London hosting the f1.
Great Vid and agree its one of the most recognisable cars of the period, as to the most original - you would struggle to beat Mike Newmans Listerine and Dave Brodies back in black version which I am fairly sure both run original engines and shells, which in period were undamaged. As someone else here mentioned Paul Smith got a big hit from Patrick Watts at Oulton a year or too back which I think needed a new rear quarter and the original engine was cooked by Tim at Silverstone too. So pretty sure its not the most original unmolested, but still a bloody good car.
The car did not get a new rear quater after the hit at Oulton ,i repaired the rear quater in the pits and it was finished off at Pauls own bodyshop after the event , and i agree Mikes car is a fantastic original car also , but both Mikes and Daves did suffer from damage in period . ( Mikes car was minor damage ) and Daves car was reshelled at the end of 89 according to his own advert at the end of 1990 , i think you would struggle to find any race car that hasnt had some repairs in its racing life though , and it doesnt detract from the cars values as its expected .
@@carlchivers3435 that knowledge is just engrained in his mind ,such a wealth of information and stories they need to be preserved for future generations and put into a book
Guy Edwards was the ex F1 racer who pulled Nikki Lauder from his burning car at Nurburgring Jerry Mahoney was a bit too close to Vic Lee when they got caught importing Bolivian marching powder 😆
Great to see you again Adam, and always a pleasure talking about these fantastic cars. Also, thanks again to everyone for their kind comments. it's great that you seem to like listening to me rabbit on about them, lol

Incredible
Where is the link to Paul Smith’s hill climb at Goodwood? Cheers.......great stuff
Loving the extension to the workshop! Is this an add-on to the rear of the original workshop?

Omfg i would so so love this car , what a car 🥰😍🤩
Nice walk down memory lane. You mentioned they’re for sale. What sort of coin is the asking price?
What a beauty!
How many watched this and thought maybe I’ll do an extra line on the Euro Millions!🤞🏼

Another great item 👍
Looking forward to this

It's amazing that Paul can bring the memory back and tell us what position the car was and what year. 32 years ago!
